  1. I'd love an episode 2 C3po. Really we need variations for Episodes 1,2 and a variation with his wiring straightened (Which I think is episode 6 specific if I remember correctly). We have movie specific variations for just about everyone at this point, C3po deserves at least a couple more. For the may the fourth figure I do think it will definitely be Ep 2 specific. I'd guess Jango, but oddly I can't help but hope for a Jocasta Nu figure.
  2. It would have been more logical, but I don't think they had the room for him. More than likely Max Rebo will come with his piano (Or whatever that thing is called). After all there's like no point where we see him without it. Ultimately he would have crowded an already crowded set.
  3. I agree that they'll redesign the body, probably adding more detail. However I doubt both the printed arms and shoes, just because Lego tends to avoid those things (Granted it still happens from time to time so there's the chance). And I definitely think we will get a new hairpiece. Really I'm tired of seeing that same braid piece they seem to use all the time. I could see them reusing the Tamina braid, but I would prefer a new piece entirely just because we lack a good looking braid hairpiece (Sorry that Tamina hairpiece just looks bad to me ).
  4. There's pictures of him on the sail barge, but I can't find a conclusive answer of what happened to him.
  5. Yes, Max Rebo is small and he was on the sail barge. And I'd say that there's no chance it's anyone else but him. How many blue elephants in the Star Wars universe are there after all? As for the black minifig I'm hoping it's not Luke, the torso isn't the same color as the current Luke, also the head looks odd. Based on the oddly shaped head it's probably Ree-Yees.
  6. I'm betting we'll get a remake of Jedi Bob in the republic gunship. For at-te we could always see Jango and Boba. After all when revisiting PM last year they threw in characters that weren't anywhere near scenes just to build up the cast. I would assume the same will be done with AOTC. Plus if we get a Jango we definitely need a young Boba.
  7. Any character from episode 2 is long overdue at this point. A kamino set with Jango and Boba would be great. But I guess there's always the possibility somewhere down the line.
  8. I don't know, to me it looks like it uses slope bricks on the sides where it meets the main body of the barge (the same method used in the old one). And due to the the angle of the picture I really can't tell for sure if the sides are angled (They sort of look like they do angle out some, but I can't tell for sure). The measurements on the picture though due indicate the entire structure is about as long as the previous one, which means that the angle of the nose eats into the walking room on top. If my stud counting is anywhere near right we end up losing about 5 studs (I'm not exact on that just because of blurriness of the picture) on the middle area in comparison to the old one. So in length the top level is probably about 2/3 the size that the previous model had it at. Maybe the model is sized this way to keep it a certain price. I wouldn't complain if this cost pretty similar to the original.
  9. It's really not that bad... Sure it loses some curves and isn't as smooth, but it is more accurate to the angle of the nose. Plus the new one has a bit more detail on the nose, mimicking the arrow that's sloping down on the front. Plus it's sort of hard to make a final judgement on something when we have one picture. From another angle that nose might look great and you just haven't seen it.
  10. Loving that sail barge. I can understand the hate though, the older one was a bit more smoothed out. However I'm grateful Lego tried to stick to the movie accurate shape even if the result is less than perfect. I've never been a fan of the gunship in any form, but I'll be buying this. The figures help sell it. Finally getting an episode 2 Padme is great. Plus getting flesh colored updates of Obi-Wan and Anakin is awesome as well. I can't wait to see what else Lego has coming for Star Wars this summer.
  11. For the blu-ray some of the lightsabers were corrected. As I said though it's hit and miss. Some shots look great, restored very well, others seem like they haven't been touched at all. I get the impression they half-way did it just to save the rest for a future release. And this on and off fix isn't limited to lightsabers (The ewoks were given moving digital eyes, which I really like, but like the lightsabers the effect comes and goes). Yes, Luke's hair color has always annoyed me too. At least they created a better hairpiece for him. Really I'm surprised they didn't update his hair color at the same time they did Leia's. They realized she needed darker hair and they fixed that right away (Even Padme got a hair color revision in the last wave), but Luke still has his oddly light colored hair. It seems as though they have a harder time gauging accurate hair color for men (Anakin's hair color has been all over the place in the sets, I cringe thinking back to that weird red color he had for Ep 2 sets, I hope they choose better when they release more Ep 2 sets). As for Han I just haven't found a hairpiece that pleases me as of yet. But I'm at least thankful Lego updated him some.
  12. I really like the update Han Solo. The one thing they never seem to update though is his hairpiece. It irritates me how they update one thing at a time (It's like how whenever Lucas updates something for a rerelease and he only half way does it like the color corrected lightsabers in New Hope). I sort of question including an Ackbar here. I would have preferred a new character over him (But that's probably asking too much since we got two great redesigns in here already). I hate stickers, especially those long rectangular ones that go on the cockpit (I never get that type of sticker aligned properly and always end up with it messed up).
  13. It's a great looking set for sure, but I don't like the price. I mean the figures are impressive but the build of the pit itself doesn't exactly sweep me off my feet. I guess I'll wait and see on this one.
  14. I love the design, it seems pretty consistent with how Lego handles creatures currently, a nice mix between detailed and cartoony. I suggest you move the spots down a pinch so the slope bricks wouldn't need printing. Otherwise though it's right on the mark. We really need new Jawa's too.
  15. I'm definitely picking this up when I find it. I really hate Aquaman's hair. I hated it the first time I saw it and months later it hasn't grown on me at all. I can't imagine why Lego decided to give Aquaman the Justin Bieber haircut.
  16. Loving the new Harley. I'm glad they changed her hat piece, it looks a lot better glossed.
  17. Even if we won't see the MWT become a reality any time soon we at least have a new western theme. Granted Lone ranger could be better, but perhaps if it sells well Lego will bring back it's own Western theme sometime after the Lone Ranger contract expires. After all Lego seems to respond pretty well to the fans demands so maybe in a couple of years we'll see something similar to the MWT. I'm interested in seeing how the next review turns out. The sandcrawler is a set I would love to have but I just can't quite imagine it passing. I feel like the size alone would pose a problem for Lego. I think Portal has a chance of passing, but if it did I would bet that Lego would opt to use the Portal Puzzle Board game rather than the other suggestions in the presentation. I just think it's a fantastic representation of what the game is about. Simple but intriguing. Based on the first two CUUSOO sets though it almost seems too likely that the curiosity rover will be the one to get made. While it's a fine project I honestly wouldn't buy it, space just doesn't interest me like it used to...
  18. But quite a few of those sets do have play features (I've had and played with a great deal of those). Some of them feature moving parts, a collection of weapons, animals and streamlined structures that encourage play. And I didn't say you had to agree with me, I was just trying to say I understand why it didn't become a set and I'm okay with that since there's other Zelda projects working their way up to 10,000 votes.
  19. Perhaps I'm just not making myself clear. I'm just saying it's not really like what Lego actually produces. It was an interesting idea, but it lacked a streamlined design and play features that most Lego sets have. To me it wasn't really a set that could be played with, it was more a display for the characters. While that's a good quality for a moc it's not desirable for an adventure set that's meant to be played with. And even though he later gave them a set idea it was still rejected because of new molds. Sure he did what they asked, but ultimately it just wasn't what Lego was looking for. I would love to see a Zelda Lego set, but this project just wasn't quite right. It's a great MOC, but not a very fun set. That's pretty much how I feel. This one was a nice idea, but set wise it just needed a different approach. I think we will get a Zelda project passed at some point (After all a second one is getting close).
  20. I just don't see any reason to assume he acted unfairly. Yes, he works for CUUSOO, so what? I think it's unfair to automatically assume he's guilty of something when we have no proof.
  21. That's not what I was saying at all. I meant that he got the votes needed fairly, so no conspiracy there. And even though he works for CUUSOO he declined the royalties so he's not benefiting from it so I doubt he really pushed anyone to okay it. And the other sets had a chance to, but for practical reasons the others didn't make the cut (Eve online just didn't have the market, MWT was too big and conflicted with Lone Ranger, and Zelda wanted too many new elements). BTTF won because it had the fanbase, a compact set idea and a lack of need of any new parts. It's an ideal CUUSOO set, it meets the criteria to be profitable and that's really all a company cares about.
  22. I have played with a castle set. And it was fun. The problem with the Zelda set was it just wasn't a fleshed out concept, it was a piece of scenery and a list of new molds. The point of CUUSOO is to make the suggested set a reality, it's not supposed to be if it's not good enough Lego will come up with something else. The set that's made is supposed to come from the project. If the set presented isn't up to snuff then their not going to make it. A single set is made from any CUUSOO project, the zelda project with it's list of new elements was more of a pitch for a theme rather than a singular set. And again if another Zelda project reaches review than it might happen as they said in the video. the current Zelda project didn't make the cut, but a more refined concept in the future might. I suppose he could of swayed the decision in his favor, but they did get the votes required so I doubt it's that much of a conspiracy. Plus his 1% royalties is being donated to charity, so it's not like he profited from this in any way.
  23. Yes, there was the set idea for the final battle with Ganon. But the set itself wasn't like anything Lego would produce. There's no play features in the suggested set. Oh sure, Link and Ganon can fight and Ganon can play the organ, but those two things alone don't make a fun set. Also the build of the environment, while true to the game, isn't really anything special. On top of that the set idea wasn't even added until significantly later when Lego asked for it. The presentation was focused on new elements rather than sets, and that's not really what CUUSOO is about. And I realize there are other set ideas, which is why they said a similar project in the future wasn't out of the question. Personally I would rather have the other Zelda project over this one, because that one isn't so item oriented and actually focuses on sets will real play features. I strongly endorse the other one because overall it has a much better design, and much more plausible as a Lego set.
  24. Just the one it seems as the intention of CUUSOO is ideas for a single set, not a theme. However it's always possible that a theme could appear in the future (Perhaps if a sequel to the franchise ever pops up). I think that's a reason why the MWT didn't make the cut. It's too big for one set and CUUSOO doesn't make themes, just singular sets, so a modular series of western buildings was kind of farfetched. As much as I like the MWT it was always a bit impractical to do. Zelda was an interesting idea, but the presentation of it lacked any tangible set ideas, and it did seem to be based around items rather than actual play. However I think the other big Zelda project on CUUSOO has a good chance of making it considering it's mostly based around existing Lego elements and actually has several good set ideas. And based on BTTF we know Lego will spring for a liscence if they think they can sell enough of them.
  25. I realize that, but I think this is at least proof that should they have more ROTS sets that include Grevious they would at least change the printing on his eyes (Which are CW styled).
