  1. A white blank head, that's definitely interesting, useless, but interesting. The Mandarin figure is really nice, loads of detail. Too bad his hair and beard is awful looking.
  2. I can understand Heartbreaker not having a space but at the very least the Mark XLII should have a space. I mean it's just sitting there in the corner otherwise, it might as well have a space too. And even if it's intended to be worn it's not like it's being worn all the time.
  3. I think a black head would be kind of a waste. I'm hoping they've just given us another Pepper head (Having an extra would be nice).
  4. That's just the way Lego decided to do it. Really it wouldn't take much to move the glass to the front, if you really wanted it that way. It's weird that they didn't include enough spaces for all the existing suit variations we have.
  5. But there's a spot for them to stand there, so that implies Lego intended them to go in front. I have to say, it may not look like much from the front, but the inside of this set is really quite spacious and full of details. And the hall of armor is pretty good even if it is limited. Best of all it would be pretty easy to add on.
  6. The thing that bums me out about this line up is simply that we didn't get any real buildings, mostly just vehicles and a few facades. Oh well, there's always next year.
  7. Also the animation didn't even seem as good as the trailer. It was a little less refined. It would be nice if Lego would give us an explanation...
  8. I'm going to go ahead and hope that they accidentally switched her head with one of the helmeted figures. I know that's not likely but I want to live the delusion just a little bit longer... Glow in the dark heads for the IM3 figs are interesting. And other than Faora the figures look pretty good, a close-up of Lois Lane is still in order but so far so good. And I'm loving the builds, I think once the movie comes out and we see what they're based on the overall opinion on the sets might get better. It's sort of hard to judge them without knowing what they're really supposed to be. My main problem is that the naming for these sets is dead wrong. Really those names probably hurt this wave more than anything else, it raised the expectation way too high. Talking about Metropolis and giving us a car and an antenna was completely misleading.
  9. It's the 2013 variant of CW Yoda. It however does not match the movie variant as seen in the trailer. I'm starting to get the impression that the Yoda chronicles for the website is different than the one that's to air on Cartoon Network.
  10. So it's a webseries, but also a three part miniseries on Cartoon Network. The trailer shows new style Yoda and yet this video show's CW Yoda. A headache I have.
  11. It is a bad design, they put cheekbones on her and they aren't fitting at all. Even working with concept art they should be able to determine that Black Widow shouldn't have the cheekbones of a sixty year old Disney villain. Without the cheekbones she'd look fine, not that much like SJ, but at least an okay representation of Black Widow.
  12. And here I was thinking the sloppy figure design was just laziness, now I know it was just a bad design... Well I suppose she'll look better in the sets for the sequel (I can hope anyway).
  13. Accuracy doesn't always equal a good looking minifigure. Ironically though the cheekbones were probably the only accurate part of that minifigure (As the hair was not, and the torso was missing the trademark red hourglass on the belt (The belt being missing makes me think this minifigure was originally a different SHIELD operative at some point in development and was changed last minute)).
  14. Have to agree with that. As much as I'd like both of those things as sets they definitely would make terrible UCS. The Ewok village would only ever work as a playset and the Sandcrawler would be just too big. And in all reality the sandcrawler isn't exactly the most interesting vehicle out there so it would probably translate into a boring UCS (It is a brown rectangle on wheels after all).
  15. Yes, but it's so specific for him it really can't be used for many other characters. I think the point Repeter was trying to make is that we need more pieces like this, but more versatile, as neither of these pieces are that useful because they are so character specific.
  16. I would think some are lined up for 2014. Even with the whole 3D release up in the air I wouldn't be surprised if Lego still kept a focus on Ep3 sets (Even without the movie release, sets for Ep3 would sell well). Plus I imagine they want to fit in as many sets of the prequel trilogy as they can before the new trilogy appears.
  17. Agreed. My problem with the Geonosis sets is ultimately they represent only a very small part of the film (Essentially the last twenty minutes) and it's disappointing that none of the other cool things about the movie have made it into Lego form yet. It's different for the Jabba sets. We've had a ton of sets tackling almost ever part of ROTJ (If the Ewok village turns out to be true that will make three big ROTJ sets this year). After over a decade of sets for this movie regularly coming out it's nice to have a couple of waves that focus on just specific things, like the Jabba sets. For AOTC we pretty much only have had Geonosis sets, past and present, with a few exceptions of course. At some point focusing on anything else from that movie would be refreshing.
  18. Looking over the episode 2 sets I kind of dislike that we only get Geonosis based sets. It's sort of a bummer we didn't get a remake of the bounty hunter pursuit or anything Kamino based, it just feels like too much focus on the last twenty minutes of the film.
  19. Indeed there is. I saw it on the brickshow. The nose lifts up and inside is a non-canon cannon. Despite not being canon I think it's sort of neat. It's better than dead space at the very least. And it's very unexpected.
  20. I have to say Lego somehow managed to make Anakin look nothing like the actor, nor similar to any other version of him. Even the eyebrows don't match his hair color. I mean they did get a pretty close match for his hair color at least. Too bad that hairpiece isn't in any way similar to his actual hair. I have the same problem with Obi-wan's hair, in fact Anakin's hairpiece would make more sense for Obi-wan, in an orange of course. They really need to make a new mold for the padawan hair. Ironically Padme looks as close to Natalie Portman as a minifigure possibly could. One out of three having a good likeness isn't exactly great odds though. Mace Windu doesn't look right to me, the white legs are distracting. I like that they've finally started printing the legs for the Jedi, but I feel like side printing needs to be used if the tunic is going to be a vastly different color than the legs. The duel on Geonosis is really good. The landing platform for Dooku's speeder is really impressive looking and the details like the light are really fantastic. However I don't like the right side of the set past the arch, it just seems like a random assortment of arch pieces and doesn't have a real idea of what it's supposed to be. Yoda is pretty brilliant, although the look on his face is a bit odd, but fitting. I don't like the technic rod to make him jump. I didn't like when they did that for the Mustafar duel and I don't like it here either. Poggle is a welcome addition. The Corporate Alliance Tank Droid looks like a fine build and a steal for the price. The fact that it comes with Jango is just icing on the cake at this point. The Sail Barge is pretty good. It's pretty sleek looking and it utilizes the inside pretty well. The cannon in the nose is a weird feature and definitely not canon, but I don't think it hurts anything by being there.
  21. Agreed. I've always wondered why they don't bother to make a hairpiece for the padawan's, they all have the same hairstyle after all. I realize the braid will be difficult, but Lego has worked wonders in the past.
  22. Which one do you think is Kira? The one holding the double green lightsaber is definitely not her as she has green skin and is an alien. Also that's not a scar, it's just a printed indentation representing the cheek. The one to the left of her is Leia, to the left of Leia is Adi and to the left of her is Boba.
  23. It's celebration Leia, the one we got in the Y-wing. It does look a little like her legs and cape is a blue-grayish color, but that's just shadow.
  24. Somebody who loves SWTOR and wants a Kira Carsen figure took a single look at a blurry picture, got excited, jumped to a conclusion and pasted their theory online without checking the facts. Even the first time I saw it I assumed it was a different variation of Padme (because of the hair). But a trip to Brickipedia cleared that up.
  25. It's the celebration version of Leia. Notice how it has the same hairpiece, face, torso and gun.
