  1. First picture has leaked in the usual places. Looks pretty solid for the most part. I'm interested in seeing all the functions of the set, the transporter in particular. I think Chapel and Uhura's hair could have been better.
  2. I wondered about that too. The rumored release date of the set should be pretty close to the remakes release, so it's definitely a possibility. I don't think the Ocarina's removal from PAB means much. It could just mean they're not using it in blue again. The fairy Ocarina is a different color. We also don't know what colors the Ocarina's will be in the remake.
  3. I would love it if the next set is a diorama of the OoT scene where Link meets Zelda for the first time: Hyrule Castle courtyard with child Zelda, Impa, and young Link with fairy Ocarina. Getting the Temple of Time would also be great. I hope the set doesn't turn out to be a buildable Master Sword. If I wanted the Master Sword I'd buy one of the many that's been produced over the years by other companies.
  4. Kind of a mixed bag design wise. Some like Bulbasaur, Bidoof, Eevee actually translate pretty well. The pokemon that stand on 2 legs are pretty hit or miss to me, a lot of weird looking proportions and odd design decisions. Pikachu and other with arms that just end on a stud look pretty unfinished (or like their paw was cut off 😰). A generic paw piece that could hold a bar would have gone a long way here. Tails look pretty weak on these too. The stud/antistuds on Pikachus tail doesn't look great. The Smart Bricks are definitely integrated much better into the Pokémon designs then they were for Star Wars. Though having light up crotches on some of the Pokémon feels strange... I might buy a few of these on sale. But otherwise I think I'll only buy the minifigure sets.
  5. Gengar and Cubone look good mostly. Jigglypuffs arms look bad and the eyes seem off. Geodudes arms look bad. Charmander is a complete misfire. The builds that come with the Pokémon look bad. Megabloks did this concept better.
  6. 3 of the smart brick sets leaked... Lego why did you do this?
  7. Yeah, the price is the big deterrent for me. This really feels like a $300 set to me. I like really like crystal arcade. If that we're a $100 set by itself I'd definitely buy it. The Emporium and Fire Station look a bit underbaked to me, they don't quite capture the Edwardian architecture that well. The interiors are pretty mixed. The firestation interior walls look bad because of the masonry bricks, panels with wallpaper decoration would have gone a lo g way for that interior. The bottom sections of the Arcade and Emporium are decent (though a little understocked for a Disney store). The top sections look bad. I like that they tried to fill the upper section with builds, but the walls feel very unfinished and some wallpaper detailing or windows curtains would have gone a long way making those areas feel more intentional. Genuinely I hope they continue to make more park sets, but when it comes to these types of buildings I'd rather see them broken up into smaller sets rather than all jammed together. If it were just the Arcade and Emporium, I might have bought this, but I really don't want the fire station. The mouse ears are great and I hope we see these in future sets. I really hope they make ride sets; personally I'd love to see the tea cups ride, big thunder mountain, haunted mansion and others as sets.
  8. I'm hoping that the Alice in Wonderland brickheadz in June might mean a minifigure set in the fall like 101 Dalmations got last year. I would love to get an updated Alice minifigure using the new Hobbit skirt piece and mid legs. And I'd love to get the Mad Hatter and White Rabbit.
  9. The prisoner transport looks good, and the figs are nice. I like the sticker reference to TAS issue #134. The Hulk set has a great lineup of figures, I especially like how Scorpion turned out. The building looks a bit too plain to me, hopefully the interior has something interesting going on. Sadie Sink's character not being included is disappointing, but makes total sense. I imagine we'll see her in a spoiler set later on. I'm sad that MJ wasn't included and instead they opted for a random civilian. I don't really get that design choice as MJ being in the movie has never been a spoiler in any of these movies and I would think having one more named character would have been a benefit. Too, the bench and lamppost almost look like a spot where MJ and Peter could share a moment together. Overall I like the sets, but I'll probably wait for some type of sale or discount as the pricing is just a little too steep for me.
  10. Wow, 5 movies represented this time. And we have 4 styles of dinos: brick built fossil, brick built regular, junior molds and regular molds. I'm not interested in the majority of the sets, but I will definitely bricklink the minifigures from the original trilogy. The Mosa set looks great and I might buy it. My main question is, is that ship from Rebirth? I just don't recall a ship like that in the movie, unless I've forgotten 🤔 I like the build though.
  11. New pics leaked of the sets and we're both wrong, the body is just a new mould entirely! Looks like it's a new toddler sized minifigure body, bigger than the baby but smaller than a child. It has standard minifigure hands and uses the standard minifigure head. Legs might be removable or they're dual molded, hard to say at this point. The sets look great too Edit: you beat me to it lol
  12. I definitely think Peach and Toad will be in wave 1. I expect there will be a decent amount of new head moulds. I wonder if them phasing out/scaling back on Animal Crossing may have been to make way for minifigure Mario sets. What I would like to see with wave 1: I'd like wave 1 to start in the Mushroom Kingdom. I'd love to see Peach's Castle as a big set, maybe under attack by Bowser in the Koopa Clown Car, and of course plenty of Mario 64 references A Toad Town set with at least a house and a shop would be great. I'd also love to get Mario's house from Super Mario RPG (or at least something like it) A new pipe piece compatible with the existing cylinder tube pieces to represent the traditional Mario pipe. The existing straight cylinder piece would work for the Mario pipe outside of the block/studs that sticks out of the sides. It would also be great to get a new plate piece that has a connection for the cylinder so they can be angled vertically through a plate I'd like to see some of the brick built characters return, but updated to be slightly less blocky when possible. I like a lot of the brick built enemies they made in the past, a lot of them looked great, so I'd definitely like to see brick built characters remain a part of the theme when possible I hope they use the new 2x2 container piece with hinged lid for the ? box and other item boxes. I like the proportions of that box better than what they've used in the past
  13. I would love it if this set were actually based on Strange New Worlds, but I know that's almost definitely not the case... It would be great if the build was the bridge and then perhaps a micro build of the ship (because I refuse to buy a gigantic ship)
  14. I watched the video again, it really looks like the baby body to me; head to torso width looks consistent with the baby body and arms stuck out forward like that mold too
  15. It kinda looks like he uses the baby body. Does that mean we have our first hat piece for the baby head? (I don't really count the space helmet since that's one piece really)
  16. Minifigure scale Eevee leaked and looks really good. This does make me wonder how many Pokémon molds we'll get this year. I would love a yearly cmf for Pokémon.
  17. For me it's just a little too goofy in comparison to how most of the dinosaur molds look
  18. Hello all, in honor of the new Rifftrax episodes of MST3K I've put together this special project to celebrate: https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/c65a9d6d-551b-41da-a760-20a647574f86
  19. I'm really excited for this. I had the original set and I was always bothered by how bare the interiors of the houses were, so I'm actually really happy to see a more detailed version of these builds. Can't say I'm too surprised to see this directed towards adults. I think the Area X SpongeBob sets definitely show there's a large amount of adults that drop serious cash on SpongeBob products, so it makes sense that Lego would want a piece of that action. I just hope Lego can outdo Area X. SpongeBob's house I imagine they'll outdo them on (since they sort of gave up and just went with a giant molded piece to create the exterior), but Lego is going to have a hard time besting their version of Squidwards house.
  20. Mario looks pretty good. I'm not usually a fan of molded heads, but I think this one turned out alright, with how they chose to do it. Torso is slightly too plain, needs some wrinkles or seams printed. Also the regular legs seem a bit tall for him, granted maybe this is supposed to be Mario after eating a mushroom. Now if they can just give me Peaches Castle and a cannon to shoot Mario onto the roof...
  21. I love the witch, kind of has an anime feel. The sitting cat is useful, it can ride on brooms using the new clip piece with the stud
  22. Totally agree. The elf ears are non human features, so it makes sense to represent them. The Zelda series is littered with weird/distinctive noses due to the art styles of the various games, so Ganon's nose isn't really special or significant in any particular way.
  23. Agreed, unnecessary. Pinocchio is also a hilarious comparison as his nose plays a part in the story and that's sort of why it matters that it's represented on the minifigure. Ganon's nose is just a nose lol
  24. I mean, the leaked set list for summer is only 1-2 Pokémon per set, so I didn't think my suggestion was particularly outlandish.
  25. Pikachu looks rough, but Eevee and the others look good. Too bad I have no interest in Pokémon statues. Please Lego, give us some minifigure scale sets. I would love to get Animal Crossing style builds for Pokémon Centers, Gyms and other buildings from the Kanto Region with minifigures of the gym leaders and other game characters. It would just suck to get a bunch of brick built Pokémon and nothing else.
