  1. Since the discussion came up in the 2024 Space Sets thread and it would be merely offtopic to discuss it there further - but is indeed a quite interesting topic, I thought it would best to carry on in a new thread. I would have guessed Brickset would be the origin ot this, but could be bricklink aswell (no idea which of them was actually there first). Anyways both seem quite similar. Anyways when we are looking at Adventures I always wondered about how the minifigures are listed there. I guess it depended on who listed it but there isn´t really any consictency. For Instance Bricklink lists 5913 (Dino Island) as Dr. Lightning's Car, while Bricklink lists it as Dr.Kilroy's Car - both state the Minifigure as Dr. Charles Lighting, since it is the same as in Desert - however in Orient Expedition both have the Minifigure listed as Dr. Kilroy. Gail Storm also was changed to Pippin Reed in the last series there - so I would guess they globalized the names then so they have the same names everywhere (at least in Germany, where they all had different names they were named with the ones listed on Bricklink and Brickset then aswell) Also an other interesting fact, looking at the Adventurers Series, when you look at Sam Sinister and Baron von Barron. Barron only appears in the first Adventurers Series (the Dessert one) but in Dino Island only his henchman, Sam Sinister appears - though it is actually the same minifigure as Barron in Dessert, which results in the 5914 Sam Sinister and Baby T having the Baron von Barron Minifig listed. Also, in Orient Expedition he still has Barrons Face and Hand, but wears clothing that is more Similar to his own from Dessert.
  2. Well it is called interstellar Spaceship, so it should be clear it can fly to distant solar systems - that doesn´t mean it would have to be there since of course it could aswell just stay in the solar system. But with the crystals and aliens, I would say the sets are not located in our solar system. Also, noone said that ship in particular would have to had transported all that stuff there - more likely one big transport ship would have done that and once the stations were assambled it moved back to earth - so I wouldn´t count on getting a set of that one, especially since it would likely be a 300€ Ship - if not more. They are clearly trying to include something for everyone. I mean they included M-Tron, Blacktron 2 and Ice Planet and while surely not everyone will like those even from the fans of the old space themes (especially the Blacktron 2 isn´t that well received because of his mutation) but also new stuff with different approach.
  3. The white one was also avaiable on Pick a Brick already - and can also be used for castle. But makes it a bit unlikely they would do another one. I would love to get the grey one which we had in the mill raid set. However I don´t think we will get a new colour since likely they will need their budget for the goat and minifigs. As said above, I have my doubts about that. I am hoping for a lot new pieces for the minifigs in the set and there might not be enough budget to make new animal colours too - however I wouldn´t mind to get some. If we would get new colours, I would guess to get them for animals that will retire end of this month, since they would need more budget than just using still in production ones.
  4. He is clearly my favourite too. So far my impression was that the grey alien, the M-Tron and the Ice Planet one were the best received ones based on the comments here. Might be I got the wrong impression though. However the Star Girl seems to be quite popular too, but she isn´t really one of my favourites.
  5. Well, Harry Potter is still designed for Kids (and ofc adults too) where Stranger Things was aiming for an adult audience. As for the reboot, I also feel like with the castle System they can´t keep the system alive for to long, because then the first sets would be long retired when they are doing the new ones and at some point it wouldn´t make sense to start fresh with a castle where half of the sets isn´t avaiable anymore.
  6. Thank you all. I always wondered where the name futuron came from because I couldn´t find it in catalogs. The differences between NA and European market are always very interesting to see. Well rumours would say it will be Blacktron, however I am still not certain how the customizing would fit in there.
  7. Well it isn´t called classic space exactly. Some just use the therm classic Space themes when they are talking about those product lines in general. The question here is. Was Futuron already called Futuron back then? I mean when you look into old catalogues you don´t find a mention of that name, whereas you can find Blacktron or M-Tron. Anyways, when you look at classic space some of the later sets had different designs from the original classic space design - and some of those already have the look futuron will later have. I don´t know, for me it just seems sometimes like someone tried to categorize the sets later and put them into themes, which don´t always really seem to fit to me. The point of my first answer to turtle was, that in the book it never was called classic space - at least not that it was mentioned in the linked Article. They were just talking about why they stopped with the book at a certain point.
  8. Well, there are two different things we are talking about. The Theme Classic Space and when people are talking about Classic Space meaning old Space themes in general. However I disagree with the clearcut on themes. Futuron isn´t really a new faction it is just a redesign of the classic spacemen. I was talking about the book there, not classic space - they decided to end it at the point where Lego moved away from the classic face.
  9. As I said, it is also used when people speak about old space series in general, however the timespan referring to might be different from person to person. Anyways, in the book it doesn´t state where classic space (aside from the theme) starts or ends, it is just referring to that the book ends at the time where the classic smile faces also ended, because at some point you would have to stop as it would be to much for one book to talk about the whole space theme, unless you want to get less detailed.
  10. Disney has so many Films, Series and Franchises, that I don´t think they care about this one in particular to get released again - I mean they even dumped the sets for the new film so I am pretty sure that it is done for the near future at least. Maybe Disney decides to make a relaunch or series of Indiana one day and we get sets for this. But for now, we won´t see any I think.
  11. For such a price I would have bought a few of them. However they never were sold that cheap here, so I only got one - and that one actually was for the full price. But gotta say I was surprised the price wasn´t higher for it anyways.
  12. The price will go down, and has already started to do so - the minifigure is avaiable at Pick a Brick since last month, however not sure if many of them got shipped already - and now it is paused anyways. But the Magazine is still the best option to buy it as it beats the pick a brick price by a good amount.
  13. It might depend what a person is referring to. Classic Space is what the first space theme of Lego is called nowadays, but is also used when people talk about the older Lego Space themes, such as Classic Space, Blacktron, M-Tron and so on. If people are talking about the Classic Space minifigure, then it has to have the classic smile, yes - also it should have a plain torso with just the classic space logo printed on it, and no other prints - legs, airtank and classic space helmet of the same colour as the torso, again no prints.
  14. I wouldn´t count Dreamzz towards the Adventurers theme. Also I am not sure what your are trying to say here ;).
  15. Adults, Kids. CMF series never really were made to attract a certain audience more likely they were made to include something for everyone. Of course, with licensed Series it is a bit different but even there people could often find a figure they liked even if they didn´t care for the license. However, with themed Series they could have gone they way and do all remakes of old figures - but I already said when we were speculating about what that series would include that it would likely be reimaginatons of old figures aswell as new ones. Because Lego still wants to attract different audience. And actually the overall feedback hasn´t been that bad - I mean here in this forum naturally people were more looking towards retro figures then new ones - but if you would ask kids what they like most, it would be likely something different than that. Well among AFOLs the classic Spacemen is quite popular and I would have prefered that one over the robot driven by aliens for instance. But on the other side we just got one and it might be that other people would have rather thought why the same figure again just with a different colour.
  16. I am pretty sure that those potraits are all hanging in hogwarts - also I think certain pictures such as Ariana´s would be included in the set it belongs to (if we get that one) and wouldn´t be included in a random lottery.
  17. Well we got the pics of the survey so it will look similar to that I guess. However what I am actually most curious about is the minifigs. So for me it will depend a lot on those whether I am disappointed by the set or not. I am pretty sure we will see Parts reused. I just hope that they are few and we get a lot new ones in return.
  18. I think we might not have gotten the Classic Space Minifigure because they did just do one recently - and we also got normal CS Minifigures in the Galaxy Explorer - the same way they also didn´t make a Blacktron Minifigure since we got that one in the GWP - so looks to me like they were going for more variety.
  19. I think most likely it will be either Asia or South America. For both we have some moulds existing, where they just need to recolour and both still have enough new moulds. If they do Asia, I am curious if they make a new head mould for the elephants.
  20. I am not sure what I should think about those. It is a quite early leak and I do like some of that minifigures like the Ice Planet guy but there are also some I don´t like at all like the Spacegirl with dog and whatever that first figure is supposed to be. I will definitely need better pictures. All in all I was expecting more from the series.
  21. As far as I know, only in Denmark. And I think the 6 Minifigure boxes also were first tested in Denmark because they were sold elsewhere - so the 12 Minifigure Boxes could be sold elsewhere too. But so far there was no mention of it so, it doesn´t seem like we are getting those - or they will be only avaiable from Lego maybe. That beeing said, I kinda wish they would make just a set with all minifigures instead of several boxes - that would first of all prevent packaging faults, where one minifigure is twice and another isn´t there at all and would also save a lot of packaging.
  22. I would have to check, but I think the normal amount was 4 or 5 Minifigures, and the HP ones had 4 - of course you can´t fully compare both since obviously while you can buy 4 or more knights packs with the HP figures it makes just less sense to do so. Anyways the point was just that they still do such packs - just the themes to do them for are sadly missing.
  23. The problem I have with those is you might just end up having 6 of them twice ;).
  24. The old Battle Packs were always Minifigures with their accessories, which the Harry Potter ones were too - and honestly I think how nice something is varies a lot from person to person ;).
  25. Well first of all you would wonder how many people don´t know that PAB even exists - there is simply a difference between having them online or also avaiable in stores. Well they didn´t really ever disappear, they are still making them for instance there were some for the Harry Potter theme the last years - however they stopped doing castle themed ones when they stopped doing castle - matter fact the last Castle theme we got in 2013 had only two sets released in 2014 - both were Battlepacks. But without a theme I hardly see them doing battle packs. I think one of the main reasons for the higher price of PAB-Pieces is simply the fact that you have to pay the people running around and sorting your parts actually ;).
