I second what @Fraunces said. You are immensely talented with many rich ideas but after seeing gigantic perfect digital builds in big numbers in a rather short time i too think you should try with real bricks. At the end digital builds always lack spirit and atmosphere when compared to real bricks imo. Did you ever thought about building with real bricks? -
Oh, i have missed this post! I like your dioramas with Jabbas Throne Room being my favorite Nice vaporator too! If you'd tile the cantina floor and upper walls it would look even better. Maybe elevate everything one plate's hight so the tiling won't be a problem at the round bar structure.

Yep, a wonderful ship that is! Love the blue and yellow colors. Also very nice wave effects -
Very nice! Thanks for sharing the video. Exploring the moc this way makes it even better! (Although i understand only the most basic words in Italiano )

Very nice! :) I really like your version of the friends treehouse! I was tempted to buy the set myself and part it out. Some nice parts there

Welcome to the forum @pintguinness I am also 40 years old, so me must share some experience when it comes to 80s and 90s Lego! You have to host your pictures at an hosting site like flickr, imgur and sites like that. Then simply add the link to the picture to your forum post and it will be shown automatically.

Eslandola Royal Horse Artillery
Yperio_Bricks replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice horse artillery troops! While i like the custom printed torsos i am not so sure about the helmets. The form is great but the material looks too different from ABS imo. Browsed your link and now i am in love with the yellowcoat Spanish dragoons- 4 replies

Yeah, it's a wonderful fig and my favorite from the Disney CMF! I snatched 3 of him + one still in the bag. I am thinking to remove the feather from one of the hats. I also got multiples of Pocahontas and Tiana but i found just one Mulan. Also Ernesto and Miguel's head can be useful in some kind of Dias de los muertos setting or something like that.

(2003) The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen, 2006) Sonnenallee (1999) Gundermann (2018) Freies Land (2020) The Same Sky (Der gleiche Himmel, 2017) Mord in Eberswalde (2013) Deutschland 83, Deutschland 86, Deutschland 89 (2015-2020) And the German Classic "Go Trabi Go" (1991) Some of the movies i like. Mostly crime and spies but also comedy and drama.

I know a contest in a German forum where you are allowed to use max 101 parts and have to make a picture as a prove of all the parts used in a moc. Other than that it is impossible to say how many parts were used in a moc. And i bet most builders do not know how many parts they used and estimating the number of parts by looking at a finished moc can be way of. And how to count parts that have been used for structural reasons but are invisible? There can be many parts hidden inside a moc. Or house with back wall against facade. So i would not suggest a part limit but a size limit. Like a 12x12 vignette category for example. So such a vignette has not to compete against a full blown moc or ship. Yes, you can go high in a vignette and i have seen some amazing and creative mocs. You can build a 3 story house or a tower but it will be no modular sized building. Oh, and two more questions arise that can be discussed. How often should there be a contest? Once a year, every 4 months,...? And if LEGO sponsors only so many prizes a year, should there be contests without prizes?

But these are problems everybody has no matter if digital or real bricks! Also from my observation, not in this contest so much but in general, digital builds often have a lot of repetitive elements. I don't know how the program works, but if i see the same 10x10 wall section 10 times in the same moc i wonder how much copy and paste is going on. With real bricks you have to build it 10 times with your own hands. So yeah, maybe there should be seperate categories at least. Or digital entries win digital prizes like a rebrickable voucher

While you are at it you can also replace the hands and head with some flash colored pieces!

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What i still would like to see is a Pre-Mor battlepack with two regular Pre-Mor inspectors and two Corpos in their riot armor. A private conglomerate ruling a sector is interesting idea imo Also on my wishlist is a playscale cantina with some of the aliens from the MBS set to go alongside a new playscale Jabba's Palace set. A Pentraki Arena MBS should be inevitable, but only with molded creatures! What i could imagine is a MBS or big playset with one pillar and one creature, main gate and stands and two add-on packs with another pillar and creatur each. Oh, and a truckload of minifigs! And i wish we would get more Solo and Rogue One sets! Just something please
