[COR - FB] Lagoon Lockup, Jamestown
Yperio_Bricks replied to Bricksbypidy's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Lagoon Luck-Up by SleeplessNight is my favorite Lego Pirates moc ever, but i must admit, seeing it now in BotBS feels a little strange. But nevertheless does your diorama look beautiful! SleeplessNight's colorful houses really pop and the small islands on the opposite side of the Lagoon look great. I love the flamingo, wish i had some The rowing boat is moving into different directions in different pictures? -

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
Yperio_Bricks replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sorry, but in my opinion this is wrong because yellow minifig only represents white people. Is there anybody who really thinks the minifig was invented being yellow because the designers at that time thought it would be inclusive and all people in the world would feel equaly represented or was it because of the reduced color palette that was available and that the social dimension was comepletely irgnored at that time too? It's a good story to tell people nowadays that one color serves all but that is simply not true. -

[ESL - FB] Ceniza Bajo Taberna
Yperio_Bricks replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I always wonder if i should put my yellow minifigs into the recycling bin or if i should keep them in case i need to make a fire if something happens like a blizzard and the heating breaks down for a week -

Thank ye Thanks a lot! Though i wish i had some civilian minfigs that would fit into such a historic setting. Now there is Obi-Wan and Rey and Luke's torso and one torso from a Indiana Jones set -

Got it, thanks That would be nice indeed! -
Just a small build here, a tavern for the thirsty people of boomtown Ceniza Bajo. It is important for one's physical and mental health to stay hydrated Rum on the other hand is a not to be neglected medicine to disinfect one from the inside and even the indigenious fauna enjoys a bottle or two sometimes (without paying of course... to protect his privacy we will call Señor S.) Will be licensed as a small artisan.

Sorry for my dumb question, but what is there in the outback that can be explored? Personally i'd go for ancient Egypt, the Mesoamerican/South American jungle or East Asia. Maybe a jounery of Marco Polo but in a 1920s setting. Or steal ideas from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis I second that -

Very nice library! I like the heavy desk laden with maps and documents. The shelf with the window frames looks great too. Like there are some precious boos locked away. The scrolls are another great detail. The dungeon is also impressive and looks very atmospheric with the lights. Keep it up

Me and my brother loved to watch the adventures of the Olsen gang in TV when we grew up! And i love every detail of your moc. The beautiful yellow houses, the backyard, the cars, clothes on the line, the minifigs... fantastisk!

Actually there are rabbit-like species like the Lepi or Hoojib in Star Wars. Their fur can be of various colors. And maybe some day a dark jedi will employ a lightchainsaw -
I think so too. The viking village looks much more detailed and lives up to modern standards much better than Eldorado. I assume the four 1x4 tiles are printed and they look great, as well as the other ornaments and shields! And while Eldorado is Lego exclusive the viking village will show up on shelves of selected retailers (as far as i know) and that will make the already good price even better. Even i might be tempted to get the VV sooner or later

[CONTEST] Return of the Classic Pirates - Vote Counting
Yperio_Bricks replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
It might look like this but i think the effect is pretty small if there is any effect at all. The votes will not be combined and still count for the individual mocs only. I guess it is to late anyway for changing voting rules but i am sure the staff will keep all suggestions in mind for the future contests Because after contest is before contest or how is the saying? -
