Stupid question but out of curiosity i'll ask. I only got a gwp once and i didn't even know there was one up for grabs when i bought parts a PAB online. Of course they had to ship in in different boxes as they came from warehouses in different countries. But when you buy a set and get a gwp, are they shipped in the same box?

[MOC] MEDIEVAL SPECTACULUM at the Museum of History - BDP
Yperio_Bricks replied to MontyMatte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
As a kid i loved everything related to the middle ages (seafaring and pirates as well), be it toys, movies, audio dramas, books, playing knight in the woods, visiting castles and spectaculums... Still remember the grim black knights who pushed everyone out of the way when they paraded through the masses at the "Kaltenberger Ritterturnier" back in the day. I can see myelf as a kid in front of one of your market stalls with all the wooden swords and shields. But that is maybe too much off topic Now when i think about it, something is missing in your moc: Blue mobile toilets with some knights waiting in the queue -
Yes, that would also be an option. Have to see which parts are involved and if i can do it. As i have said earlier, i am a total train noob who just fell in love with the set I also need to see in person how big such a passengar car is in comparison with a modular sized building. Looking forward to get the set
-
I might do that as well and shorten the passenger cars by one or two windows. Have to see the locomotive in person first and then see how it turns out

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Is this the 1978 holiday special? Didn't even now about that until 1 minute ago The yellow and blue armor looks great -
As i have said, i am a noob when it comes to trains, but when i google for pictures of model trains of the Orient Express i find pictures with various longer and bigger locomotives (locomotive + tender longer than a passenger car) and they look more visually pleasing proportion wise. But as i have said, i will get the train 100% because it is such a beautiful set overall!
-
Even as a total train noob i can see that the proportions are a bit off in this set. I guess you can ask random people an the street and they will tell you the same. The cars look massive compared to that lil' switcher locomotive , but still, overall i love the set and the cars are simply beautiful and i am 100% getting this set and it will be my first and only set in this price range. The color scheme is perfect.

When i was younger my family and me went to quite some spectaculums! Love your creation of the whole event with its attractions, market stalls and showmen. The juggler's stage is my absolute highlight! And the colorful tree even matches his outfit. Using the wizard's hat as water for the fountain is just awesome! -
You really nailed all the curves of the hull. Most impressive!

I too think that LSW is too much focused on ships! Seeing all those cool big location sets of other themes i come to thing what would be possible in the SW universe if we get sets with the quality of Rivendell, Sanctorum and alike as well as location playsets. -
Yes, i think so too. Like i wrote, i think it's like this: Standard pieces from Denmark Bestseller pieces from Poland Sets and GWP from Belgium We'll check it with out next orders haha

New Republic

My next order will be standard pieces. Will try to find out where the package comes from
-
PAB orders come from Poland (bestseller pieces). I saw that when i was tracking my latest order. I once got 2 gwps from Belgium. Don't know if sets come from Belgium too because i never ordered one EDIT: And i always thought that standard pieces come from Denmark.
-
It's the same in Europe. As far as i know bestseller pieces come from a warehouse in Poland and it takes 7 days for an order to arrive. My last orders took 5 or 6 days. But standard pieces come from Denmark and then it takes 28 days as well.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Yeah! I really hope we get more of the LOTR torsos. They make formidable civilians! -
Wait, there is a LOTR torso? Hope the other torsos from Rivendell will also show up. They make formidable civilians!

Well, all those nostalgia fueled GWPs work perfectly as intented by Lego and as long as people hype them and talk about them months prior to release and buy all those high priced sets without discount directly from LEGO just to get a GWP there is no reason to change anything. Fear of missing out and nostalgia drive the sales and LEGO knows it.
