What a beautiful and lush place! I could imagine it in the gardens of a palazzo in Northern Italy. I knew these were cypress trees even before i read it. Well done
-
Just read info about the head. It's from Arctic Explorer Sets. Mini Head No. 4031, 6434805 (BL 28621pb0074).

[ENTRY] SIN ISLAND: Keg & Cutlass Inn + Comic book
Yperio_Bricks replied to Marooned Marin's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yep, nice technique Since i missed out (was fresh out of my Dark Ages and everything was new to me an i missed out on some nice sets) on POBB i did not know about this clever solution. Might even steal it in the future -
LEGO Ideas Discussion

Would not be the first "coincidence" between rejected ideas and official sets Let's see how the Natural History Museum turns out and if it looks like any of the former ideas submissions. -
[ENTRY] SIN ISLAND: Keg & Cutlass Inn + Comic book

The finished build looks great! Love the small island sidebuild with the seagulls and skeleton. Is the tilted window fixed in any way? -
Having seperate categories for digital and physical entries seems practicable Then there also should be the rule that the same build can not enter both categories because surely people will come up with this "creative" but rather absurd solution (as was discussed before in this thread). The Mini Set category was a great success, so we should definitely keep it Lots of fun entries

Picked up Luke's X-Wing before it flies off the shelves. 55% of the box was just air. Box sizes are inflated but this was the worst i ever noticed.

Very nice moc and story! The walker looks great as does the droid! I love the idea of an independend scavanger droid who travels the wastelands of Tatooine in his walker. Seems the Jawas got competition

I guess warm tan is still a rare color. I have only one head so far (from a Star Wars character). Guess i will just order the soccer table torsos for the hands and the torsos itself will go into my "Never use Lego" box
-
You are right! My bad, i was naturally skipping yellow heads when i was browsing through the parts I read that also the animals might sell out pretty fast. Like in minutes. But stuff will be back in stock later. I have some warm tan heads on my list and will also order several of the torso with warm tan hands from the table soccer set. I guess it is the easiest way to get such hands?!

November's Lego Star Wars Magazine (which will release 3 November in Germany) will feature Joda's Jedi Starfighter. So again no minifig -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Yperio_Bricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice I hope Lego take notes. -
The whole build is so impressive but my favorite scene is the pirate on that small peninsula, chased by redcoats. Hope his fellow pirate will arrive in time to save him!
-
Oh yeah, that looks much better! But i must say, i am not so much a fan of the medium azure plates anyway and prefer tiled water. Still i wonder (and i already talked about this in an other thread) if there is anybody out there who builds and big pirate/imperial layout (or any other historic setting). There are many people who build towns but no Lego Pirates town?!?
-
Today hundreds of new parts have been added to PAB online. No minifig parts that are useful for pirates as far as i can see. Some more animals, like the big shark, another seal and turtle, stingray.
-
There are more animals listed now. I really like it and would get the turtle, but oh boy, the prices The turtle is at 4,66€. Don't know how useful the polar animals are in a pirate setting but I'll post them for completeness. 6440966 6434764 6434808 6434910

[Digital MOC] London Underground Station (was Deep Tube)
Yperio_Bricks replied to Hod Carrier's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great scene! Looks exactly like my childhood memories from our London trip 30 years ago. Very nice curvature of the tunnel Oh, and now i want to smell like a stud! -
The orca is now at PAB if anyone is interested. It consists of 2 parts and costs a whooping 20€: 6434911 6424567

Yep, the Rancor, a Scorpenek droid, a building with a collapsable wall play feature and a bunch of minifigs should be a no brainer. The Haulcraft too. So if there is any delay with upcomming shows/sets it might turn out ot be positive and gives Lego the time and space to release some "missing" sets! I always wonder if there's a stockpile of unreleased prototyps like for example the Haulcraft, that could easily be pulled from the vaults to be released?! I mean the Lego designers work on more projects than the sets that get eventually released, right? -
Did anyone build the set on MILS plates with tiled water? I wonder how that would look like. In such a modular layout you also could add additional water space and other islands easily.
