  1. Happy Holidays, everyone! (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!) Just for the fun of it, which animals don't have a costume counterpart, and which minifig costumes don't have an animal counterpart? Animals with no minifig costume counterpart: camel, ostrich, owl, crow, duck, octopus, lobster, crab, goat, sheep, scorpion, phoenix... Minifig costumes with no animal mold counterpart: lizard, giraffe, llama...?
  2. Wig stand?!? Never thought that it could be a thing. LOL
  3. Wonder if some animals will return to PAB? Reindeer, gorilla, rabbit, etc are nowhere in the inventory, at least for the US market.
  4. I would somehow prefer these kiosk builds as GWP for modulars rather than just vehicles. Not that I do not like the vehicles, but just that we have had several already.
  5. IIRC, Lego was studying the idea of releasing Rivendell as a micro scale build. I thought I saw a study design somewhere. And I think the rumors were quite consistent about it being a micro build. Then very close to when it was announced, it became a mini fig-scale build with some minifigs galore. Perhaps there is some hope this may end up being a large section of Minas Tirith, and is all in minifig scale???
  6. I would not put it past Lego to just include the few minifigs already rumored. I want more minifigs but I really think Lego will not go back to offering us another Rivendell-like lineup. Perhaps we could only hope that some Gondorian soldiers' parts become available in PAB.
  7. With only so many minifigs?
  8. F1? As if we had not had enough? They've devoted an entire series to Fauna, so maybe they will give Flora some love? If they're going to give use more animals, I could only think they would dare with some prehistoric animals or mythological ones like the Phoenix.
  9. Yeah, normal is the right term. I really do wonder what was going on in the heads of the Lego CMF team when they were thinking that a non-mini fig-containing series could be marketed as a "minifig" series??? I say the F1 "CMF" is Unikitty 2.0.
  10. And the reverse is true... CMF fans wants minifigs and not buildables. If they make a buildable like Unikitty meets Mechs, then we are only getting Advent Calendar garbage.
  11. RANT about Lego Customer Service (USA): I got lectured by a phone agent to not follow up on the status of a service request. Perhaps I just got a bad apple? Placed two different orders around Black Friday, and one of them was the Star Trek Enterprise. Received two boxes earlier this week. One was the Star Trek item, and the second contained a bunch of GWPs, but not including the Shuttle GWP, plus some Star Wars items I did NOT order. I chatted with an agent the next day, who said he would send the missing GWP over to me and that I should send the wrong items back to them within a month. I asked for a UPS pick-up since the nearest one is a 30 min drive from my house. And he said that is not possible, and I would just have to make the trip. Oh well. Several days later, as I was reviewing my orders on Lego.com, my first and second orders from Black Friday have been marked as "delivered" on the Lego web site. Apparently, the "GWP" box I received was supposed to be my second order. So perhaps someone at the warehouse mixed up the boxes with another person's order! So then I called Lego early this morning to report it. The agent then said they would require me to take photos of the wrong items, as well the the original label of the box. Further she told me that I also need to include the GWP in the returned box! (All of that was inconvenient since I already packed and taped it up according to the first agent's instructions). I complied - had to unload the box from my vehicle, cut off the label, etc. I sent the photo to an email they sent me after the phone call. I also told them on the email that I was leaving town next week and won't be back until after the holidays and I am afraid the label might 'expire' given what the first agent said. I did not get a reply on that email so I called tonight. (Was on hold for about half an hour.) I explained all the above to the agent. Then I got lectured on: -I should not be contacting Lego on the "same" issue on multiple occasions using different channels since it only prolongs the conversation and "confuses" the reviewers. (I pointed out that the whole situation was not apparent at the time of my first chat, and new information was available.) -I should not hurry them in replying to me. (I pointed out that the first agent said I have only a month to return the items. But that I am flying out of town for several weeks, and then UPS being a 30 min drive away in the other direction. I have some free time this weekend to drop off the return box and I only wanted to know if they need more photos/ info or if indeed I need to return all the contents which means I have to open, and repack the box). -It will get resolved when it gets resolved. They will contact me after they review the reply from the "other department" involved in the mix up. (I get it, they're doing an investigation. But he also admitted he cannot guarantee any timeline for this.) It was the end of the day and I was probably his last phone call so perhaps some agents are also burnt out. Been ordering from Lego for quite some time and never had problems and people have been courteous, considerate, and helpful. But this messed up order, then the encounter with a passive phone agent, and this somewhat recalcitrant one is something else.
  12. I know we haven't had any leaks but with rumors about an upcoming Minas Tirith, I wonder what location will be next?
  13. I don't mind the cutesy Friends animals for the likes of Disney but I would really prefer Lego System style animals as standard animal types.
  14. I wonder if Lego is going to treat Star Trek similar to the LOTR revival - one large set each year? If that were the case, I do hope they do not skimp on minifigs! They could do a smattering of smaller sets like that Transport Room with O'Brien.
  15. I am curious if someone here has data on how long each modular was on shelves? (As a surrogate of how popular each was, not having any access to any sales figures from Lego itself).
  16. Sorry to dig up this old thread... Saw this on Instagram and wondering if instructions might be available? This would go really well with the Tudor Corner.
  17. Having a second and third look... I still like it. But it does not seem to be a modular that fits being beside most of the other ones. It fits well with the BH on the left side and the AS perhaps to the right. Other modulars are "blocky" and imposing in build and seems to clash with the "soft" lines of this one. It's just different and I do hope Lego considers making more modulars that complement this one.
  18. Haven't been able to keep track but to date, there have so far been 3 sets for the anniversary, correct? The blacksmith house, minifig display stand, and the Mech?
  19. Looking at it more, with just that one photo, I am thinking it somehow looks 'incomplete' in the sense that it really needs a building to its left and another to its right to complement it. Not a bad thing though. But excited to see how Lego integrates it both now and in the future in the modular street.
  20. I also very much love the TC. But I feel the current one and the TC are in two different categories, IMHO. My fear as well. Also, I would have wanted a larger plaza but that is just me nitpicking. I love it too. But when you have the Jazz Club, the bar is set low. LOLOL. One of my initial thoughts as well... just like the ones that keep popping up on Reddit in between posts about authentic Lego. And especially that one which has the figurines that look halfway between Lego and Playmobil. LOL Was reading a comment on Reddit that one of the flat sides of this one might go well with that of the BH. I'm also really interested if that alley leads to some other feature in future builds.
  21. Here's to hoping we eventually get brown and dark gray pigeons one day!
  22. One new minifig so far for 2026. I wonder how many new ones they will give us for the upcoming year?
  23. Fake. But I really wish Lego would do something about those 'arms' and make them more functional. They could have introduced a new mold here.
  24. Why so few (or no) new animal mold for 2026???
