LEGO Dimensions Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
They'll continue to release large amounts of new minifigs unless it becomes unprofitable. Most kids aren't completionists. Most completionists are AFOLs or fans of the specific IP. -
Oh, I was just wondering if you're gonna make it automatic, as in the car lifter is activated automatically when a car is placed there. I was just curious.

Why is LEGO now being made in China?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to 9v system's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for all the info! I was actually wondering why they hadn't sued Lepin right after making the factory in China, but it might just all be due to them trying to consolidate their position. But I guess that's a fair point too, we don't really know if they have attempted other lawsuits before. -

History behind Marvel and DC licenses?
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, but I've heard their rivalry has been a little more serious in the present years. I think I remember someone saying that either Marvel or DC paid or gave something to sellers who would destroy comics of the other company, but that's just an anecdote I heard and I can't confirm a source. I agree that if I was a company I'd want my building toys to be made by Lego and not Megabloks because of the superior quality and status. Well, apparently they did have the license for the first films in the MCU, like this Hall of Armor from Iron Man 2 (that only includes 2 actual armors ). I heard something along the lines of Lego having a good relationship with Disney and Disney buying Marvel in 2009-2010 caused Disney not to renew Megablok's license in order to give it to Lego. -

[MOC] Superman Daily Planet Building
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Palixa And The Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, I hadn't realized there was PF involved! It looks really cute! If you're not a purist, I think it would look great if you replaced those chains with transparent nylon. -
Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I guess it's a shame that as an Iron Man fan I'm not too familiar with all of his enemies, but Iron Monger is someone I would have preferred to see over Detroit Steel. Unfortunately it seems to me that they would make him look like this Crimson Dynamo figure, and I'm not as keen on brick built figs.- 5,808 replies

Railway station of Limoges, and more...
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Anio's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, kudos to you for your dedication. It's clear that you made this model to the best of your capabilities, hence it looks great! Just out of curiosity, are you planning to keep this assembled? Seems like it would be hard to find a spot for it. -
The list of figures is finalized one year before, right? So Lego themselves already know what figures will be in S17? Just curious.

Nice rendition and thanks for sharing! My only suggestion would be to place the eyes at a lower position because the eyes tend to be approximately at the middle of the head. But anyways, this is a nice display piece! -
