  1. Great review Oky! I really love your introduction text. You put a lot of effort in this review, with lots of nice touches. Well done For me the set gets 4 out of 5. It's a great set, but there's something preventing me of giving it 5 stars.
  2. Happy new year Doc!! A few hours left for us Dutchies. We've prepared the pub for a private party. Now for some pizza before the party starts.
  3. I don't build much B-models, but looking at the 42038 and 42039, I probably will make an exceptions. Both look amazing. The B-model of the 42009 is on my to-build-list as well. Blakbird did a small review if I am not mistaken. He also concluded it is a great alternative build.
  4. True. I have been watching some of his City reviews too. Very entertaining.
  5. Utilizing 4 output ports is the most important criteria. If you use 2 for propulsion, that's okay. If possible you could multiplex 2 motors on a single output, but I am not entirely sure whether that's possible.
  6. I'm growing very fond of JangBricks' video Reviews. He has a very pleasant voice and he speaks at an easy to follow pace.
  7. The idea is that the model you build can be operated by a single SBrick. I'm assuming not everyone entering has an SBrick, so that's why IR receivers can be used. When the third place winner receives his/her SBrick, he/she can substitute the IR receivers with the SBrick. It's an SBrick contest because you can win SBricks. From my side it's not clear why people are making this a lot more complicated than necessary. Create a model using 4 motors and you'll be fine. Keep it simple.
  8. Hi, Welcome to EB! Be careful with reviving a two year old topic. Please read the site guidelines, linked in my signature. Regarding your question; I think red or black are your best options. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/329606 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44159&st=100#entry876029
  9. If only there were more people like you
  10. The contest is about utilizing 4 ports of the IR receivers or SBrick(s). Using a gearbox has nothing to do with fairness. If you can create infinite functions using 4 output ports....go ahead. The rules have changed a bit.
  11. I have sent it to you. Sorry for the delay
  12. Hehe, I was just thinking about who wanted the "big fat" contest. It was you....of course We will still do an unlimited build contest some day.
  13. It's almost an "unlimited build" contest....almost.

  15. Yup....MOD it is
  16. Merging with the GBC General Discussion topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88296
  17. Wedo is not for a broad audience. It's a dedicated product for education purposes. That's probably why you don't find much resources online. At least not as much as Mindstorms etc. When you create a topic, you can add tags simply by typing the tag name followed by enter (and repeat that step). There's no need to use the hashtag. The hashtag is commonly used on Twitter (and on Facebook by people who think it's cool to add billions of them to a post).
  18. You can use two motors for the same function (driving).
  19. Already answered (yes) Welcome to EB!
  20. Changed the title to SmartBrick (SBrick) General Discussion. And included this topic in the Index. Very nice and informative video Sariel!
  21. So true! I have been thinking about this as well. Would make the great MOCs even better. If SBrick proves to be reliable, this can be the next big thing.
  22. Well said! And agreed! If your WIP has been published, it's not allowed. If nobody has seen it, than you are good to go!
  23. Thanks for understanding
  24. Don't say you don't have time or energy to argue....and then argue! You have had your say as well. Also leave it at this!
