The fact that the BMW i8 Spyder is just a concept car doesn't mean you can't create a LEGO counterpart. Head over to Sheepo's Garage to see his first 1:8 scale Technic Super Car. Like usual it's packed with neat features and tons of functionality.

[MOC] RC Credo Econell 12
Jim replied to Gabor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Good things come to those who wait.....and that's Gabor in this case. A bit late, but still very Frontpage worthy. You did an outstanding job hiding all the functions in the bus. Very nice! -
This is something you don't see every day, unless you live in Hungary that is. Gabor has made a very nice model of a Credo Econell 12. So hop on, and hop off at the Technic Forum. There's a lot more functionality than meets they eye.

Very crisp video, with a clear demonstration. Nice work!!! I can acknowledge it's hard to do a perfect video You solved it very well, by pasting the different parts of the video

PLEASE READ THIS!! I has been discussed in this topic, but there still seems to some confusion about the single most important rule in the contest: THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME SORT OF TRANSFORMATION IN THE CHASSIS AND/OR BODYWORK! Simply transforming into a Mad Max style vehicle is NOT enough. --- DESCRIPTION Build a Technic Vechicle with two modes, one normal mode and a battle mode. The vehicle needs to be able to switch/transform between the two modes. In normal mode the vehicle needs to look like a normal vehicle, without visible weapons, armor, etc. In battle mode all bets are off. No restrictions here, use your imagination. Weapons popping out, armor plating sliding out, whatever. You and your vehicle need to survive, so you need to outsmart your rivals. For example: A vehicle with wheels (a car, a motorbike) that turns into a vehicle that doesn't need wheels (a plane, a helicopter, a boat, a submersible). A truck that transforms into a rocket launch site A helicopter that turns into a jet plane TRANSFORMATION The single most important aspect of this contest is that the vehicle (that is the chassis or bodywork) needs to have some sort of transformation, which makes it possible to turn the normal vehicle into the battle vehicle. Essentially, it needs to transform into another type of vehicle, or the same vehicle with sufficient transformation. For example; You can create a vehicle where the bodywork rises and can turn like a tank. This doesn't really make it a different vehicle, but there is a proper transformation.

Power Functions Motor help
Jim replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You can basically use any smaller gear driving a bigger gear to reduce the speed (gearing down). Like Agrof said; the XL motor can run on full power. Here's a very simple solution that might work for your setup. Be aware that the grey (input) and black (output) axles are different axles! -

Hand of God steering. It means you can steer the car with a knob/gear somewhere on the model. -
Let's not go down this road. This ends up in a wish list for 2016. We have a topic for that. Go nuts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94328

Defiler
Jim replied to Tommy Styrvoky's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
PF is not mandatory, so in order to save space you could make it manual. There needs to be some transformation in the chassis or bodywork. Essentially, the vehicle needs to transform into something else. Another type of vehicle or base. -

Hi Gregg. Your images were way too big. Please read the site guidelines for images sizes (commonly used is 800 wide, 1024 is the max). Thanks -
Creating topics with the single purpose of promoting your kickstarter project is frowned upon. We do allow some promotion, but it's better not to put Kickstarter in the title. No there isn't. We frontpage interesting things we see in the different forums. I personally think your project is currently not interesting enough to promote. I think you need to work on the presentation and definition of the project.

Yup! The missile example is perfectly fine. Technically it's indeed very light gray Anyway, you can use the NXT for both sides, that's no problem. An NXT entry...looking forward to that

I think softer springs would have been better. And possibly the harder springs in the rear.

True, although Lightroom can probably handle that. -

I always shoot with my prime lens, but for the outdoor shots, I could have used my Sigma 18-55 f2.8 instead.
