  1. If I am not mistaken, you can set your time zone when you plan a video on Youtube. Why not use European time?
  2. First reviews are appearing on Techlug. Apparently French is in a different time zone http://www.techlug.f...l-jeppesen-2015 I have created a collection topic for the (video) reviews: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=111476 The plane is available too. There's one on Techlug already, with a short Video.
  3. Collection topic for 2H 2015 (Video) Reviews. Written Review http://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-technic/42042/grue-treillis-sur-chenilles-42042-michael-jeppesen-2015 Review for the plane: http://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-technic/42040/avion-bombardier-d-eau-42040-milan-reindl-2015
  4. Any of the Euro-Eurobrickers staying up until midnight, hoping for reviews to pop up?!
  5. Yup, I always shoot RAW. Takes about 26MB per picture, but that's not a big issue nowadays.
  6. Actually, just a couple of hours
  7. Don't post images bigger than 1024!
  8. By the way; your picture is way too large. Can you resize to max 1024? Thanks! I use Lightroom 5 and I am very satisfied. I use batch import settings, so most of the processing is done automatically.
  9. True! But if you are looking for more votes, I'd choose the double motor cross wheels
  10. In my opinion, digital photography needs post processing to get the best results. Defintely don't overdo it, but shooting with a DSLR yields somewhat grainy results, no matter how expensive your camera or lens is. When you stick to 800x600 it's not that bad, but when you shoot pictures for reviews, you like to provide the best quality for the hi-res versions (where people can zoom in). Lightroom is a very convenient program you enhance and manage your pictures. I like it a lot.
  11. Hi, If you upload full res to Flickr and embed the 800 or 1024 version, quality isn't ruined. What I do to get better quality is doing some post-processing in lightroom, noise reduction, sharpening, etc. Not too much, but just enough to enhance your picture. And of course, proper lighting will help a lot. Here you can see an example of before and after: As you can see, the black details are much better visible. This goes for all dark areas.
  12. I had the same issue with some of the pictures I shot the other day. It's not simply a matter of selecting f/1.8, because half of your model with also be blurry. You need to play around with the f/stops.
  13. That's a fair question. I'd say you can use black for armor, if it becomes visible after the transformation. So battle mode can show some black.
  14. I'm not convinced the Volvo/Unimog tires look better. The double motorcross wheels at the back do look great!!
  15. Thanks Nacho
  16. Hi Nacho, Great work!! But your images are way too big. Can you resize them to 800 wide (max 1024) to be compliant with side guidelines? In the meantime, I have changed them to links. Thanks
  17. Please be patient and wait for the review(s)!
  18. That's a very promising start of your MOC! But please be aware that this is not a Mad Max competition. A bit of a wasteland look is obviously okay, but the car needs to have some form of transformation, from normal mode to battle mode. It's not sufficient to only have a battle mode. Of course I'm not sure what the end result will be, but looking at your start, you might take the wrong turn.
  19. Hopefully we will see it in a new topic, so I can properly promote it on the frontpage For now, I will lock this topic.
  20. It is indeed a thin line. Some black for striping is okay, but using big black panels is pushing it, and needs to be avoided. The transformation looks very cool by the way. This is exactly the type of vehicle I have in mind for this contest. Great work so far.
  21. Exactly! And the type of lens of course, but the distance to the subject and the background plays a major role indeed. I tend to shoot most of my pictures in my studio, but today I have left my comfort zone and shot some very cool outdoor pictures. I will post them in a few days....let's say the 1st of July
  22. I will abandon the picture count limit for this contest. Try to keep it as brief as possible
  23. I can be flexible with the number of videos and pictures this time. The rules will be stated in the Entry Topic, but don't worry too much about it. 10 pictures will probably suffice, right?
  24. Exactly! Mad Max style means to me that the vehicle will have visible armor plating and other strange modifications. This is NOT what I'm looking for in normal model. Like Mahjqa quoted; in normal mode, the vehicle needs to look like a normal vehicle (more or less). In battle mode you can go nuts! So your vehicle can have Mad Max style in battle mode, but NOT in normal mode.
  25. To avoid discussion at the end of the contest; I'd like to stress that the model needs to do more than guns popping out. Jeroen has created a fantastic MOC, but the functionality he used is not enough: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111295 Be aware of this.
