Technic Hall of Fame Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That has been discussed. Please read the rest of the posts. Before this escalates, I will discuss it with Alasdair. Let's go back to making suggestions. -
One of our latest members, dsharlet, has created a Mindstorms EV3 robot catching a ball in mid-air....that's all I need to say

Technic Hall of Fame Discussion

Exactly that! -
Basically we're doing Pythagoras here......I kind of overlooked that. The margin is minimal, but I'm all in favor of "no fudging" so I can build a valid model in LDD. Thanks for the input guys. Still struggling with the design of the corners.

I noticed something odd. Apparently, this doesn't fly?! I did a quick test in real life and I thought it would work, but "computer says no!". Edit: actual test confirmed that it's not a valid connection. Is there a source where I can find the legitimate combinations? Sariel's book maybe? Sorry for the late reply. I totally missed your post. Seems like a nice suggestion, thanks!! I'm quite happy with my current setup, but I will give it go

Let's make it even more simple.....a great MOD deserves a place in the HoF. -
SBrick General Discussion
Jim replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Since Sariel has posted this information in a video, I think it's safe for me to chime in... The new SBrick+ (or SBrick Plus) supports the WeDo 1.0 sensors. There's a distance and tilt sensor.- 780 replies

[WIP] Massive Dump Truck
Jim replied to Lego2016Lego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Please use the report button next time. Stating that you are sorry about coming back to it, yet still making a post about it is not the way to go. I have sent PM to both guys and let's end it with that -
Building Help for Sets/MOCs
Jim replied to dchua70's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Calibrating the servo, right? Like MikeTwo9398 said. This might be a good time to convert this topic into a "Help Building Sets" topic. I don't think we have a topic for that. Or do we want to combine this with the Building Help for Noobs? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=138387 -
Sorry for promoting this so late, but our very own Technic Regulator Blakbird has published an outstanding review of the 42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator. Unlike other reviews, this one contains some very cool schematics, with special thanks to Philo. It's definitely worth the read!

I think I'm getting where you are going with this. Correct me if I'm wrong. You are using the PF to power the Cylinder, which will operate the gripper. In other words; you will use PF to operate the gripper (technically). This is NOT allowed. PF can't be used to operate functions, even if there's a cylinder in between. (although I do like the idea)
-
You mean the old Pneumatic cylinders? You can use any Pneumatic cylinder. And you can use PF to drive a Pneumatic pump. But I'm still not sure what you are getting at, sorry.

Hi, Nice car!! Would you be so kind to embed more pictures, and maybe some background information? That would make a topic like this more interesting. I'm moving this to the Special Themes by the way. Seems more like a Creator MOC.

There's a separate Dimensions Wish List topic. Your question is already being answered there. Let's keep this discussion about actual information.
