Important Announcement: Forum Software Upgrade
Jim replied to Jim's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'm not sure which issue you are talking about. Care to elaborate? I don't have a list at hand. Give me some time to provide you some information. One of the most important things is that our current version is running out of support, which obviously is a situation we're not happy with. -
Important Announcement: Forum Software Upgrade
Jim replied to Jim's topic in Forum Information and Help
Most likely! I recommend using a different browser anyway, but that might not be an option. -
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT This week we will be upgrading our forum software. This means the site will be down for 6 to 8 hours. Current plan is to do the upgrade of the forum on: Wednesday 21st September More information and discussion can be found in the forum upgrade topic.

Hi everybody, The current version of our board software is outdated and in order to keep up with the latest software updates and support, we need to upgrade our current version. This is exciting news, since we will be working with a better version of the board software. However, it means there will be things that work differently, and it might take some time getting used to. We are certain that the new version will justify the upgrade. Current plan is to do the upgrade of the forum on: Wednesday 21st September Since this is a new major version, upgrading the board software will take quite some time. We expect the site to be down for 6 to 8 hours. After the upgrade it will take a bit of time to do all the customizations. Also a script will need to run to re-build our forum content and this might take a number of days. However, during this time the forum will be open and available, but some stuff might look a bit weird. Once the forum is upgraded, you will need to log in with your display name instead of your username (for a lot of members these two are the same, however). Our team of admins have been putting a lot of time in this upgrade, so please be patient when something doesn't work properly. We will most definitely sort things out to provide you with the best possible experience. Feel free to ask questions and make suggestions, but please maintain a constructive tone in your post. Thanks for your patience and support.

I don't think EB is the right place for this. Looks more like an ad than a school project.

BrickMonkey has created this outstanding 1:17 Ferrari LMP1 Car. Check out the Special LEGO Themes forum to read all about it.

This is absolutely fantastic! I love what you did with the yellow rims behind the black wheel covers, nice detail! I have moved this to the Special Themes Forum, because I think it belongs there. And I have frontpaged it

Technic 2017 Set Discussion
Jim replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The flagship can be anything. Let's not turn this into a "or they can do this" topic. There's no fixed date. Last year we got information (names) about the 2H sets early. There's no telling when we will get info. I know as much, or rather as little, as you do. So my comments are mere speculation. The Nuremberg toy fair is the place to show the 2H models. We usually have information about the sets earlier. That sounds like a great idea KEEP CALM AND ENJOY THE 2016 SETS -

Isn't this something you can guestimate yourself? You know which treads will be used (most likely) and go from there?! -

Do we really need a GBC Mindstorms topic? Can we combine this with another topic? -

Please don't post clone brand content. That can be posted in Community, or Facebook Lepin group. -

That's a very nice creation Bob!! I like how you used the Technic turntables -
Amen brother! I love it. That's exactly the kind of construction is was looking for. I will definitely see how this works out. Thanks! (color scheme might be a challenge, but I can face that challenge) That's indeed why I like it. It only takes up a single stud, can be placed in multiple directions. So versatile. Cool! Progressing slowly, but this will probably be my Magnum Opus, so no need to rush

This link has been posted before. It's not an official source. And stop begging for information. How many times do I have to tell? Information will be posted when it's available and/or when people feel like it.
