  1. It's all good. You didn't mean any harm, but you do know how we feel about it now Just show us more already
  2. Excellent argument. I think we will need to tackle this during the voting period. Let's keep the current setup (no limits) and maybe I will change something in the voting process. The pneumatic function(s) should handle the key feature(s) on the model. You can enter with any pneumatic model, but voting will be based on this criterium. See my previous comment. I think you will be okay
  3. Nope sorry. People from Colombia are not allowed. Just kidding mate. Of course you can join the contest!! Welcome to EB.
  4. That's a valid point too! We could indeed solve this during the voting phase.
  5. I guess you are right. Just a minimum would be easier to enforce too.
  6. Actually I am still in the midst of sorting and reorganizing. I do already like these containers, because I like to build like this: (not done sorting yet) I can take the containers I need and put them on my desk. Liftarms, panels and bigger stuff I store in bigger transparent pvc containers or Stanley boxes.
  7. Ahh okay, that figures. I read an article about connecting it directly to your pc, but you needed a special brand pc with a certain main board or something. I read it like yesterday or so. Whatever
  8. Sure. By single attachment I mean single attachment attached...at the back, but you can have another one at the front. As long as you don't replace attachments. I get your point and we discussed this. We thought it wouldn't be necessary, but maybe you are right. Let me think about this for a night. How about "more pneumatic functions than other functions"?
  9. Actually, the new XBox controller (the new new one) doesn't use Bluethooth. It's proprietary protocol. (if I am not mistaken. You need a special dongle)
  10. You need to create a single model, with a single attached attachment. No replacements or alternatives. Good point. I like your suggestion! Will do Actually, we just need a list of pneumatic functions.
  11. On Facebook I stumbled upon a nice article about design flaws in McMansions. Admittedly, I had to look up the term McMansion. It is a pejorative term for a "mass-produced mansion". This article describes what's wrong with these kind of houses. Some of it can be applied to modular designs as well. If shows, for example, why this house has a good balance: While this house hasn't: Check out the article. It's an interesting read! Rick, I think it belongs here. If you think otherwise, feel free to move it.
  12. A teaser (as the title suggest) is usually published for something that lots of people have been anxiously awaiting for. Well, like JGW said; enough with the negativity.....show us the pictures!!
  13. Hi Klirre, Welcome to EB. Nice of you to join! The questions are very relevant to this topic, so no worries. I will others help you with the corroded pistons. I have no experience with that.
  14. I think you read it fine. We just added this to the rules. I don't mind studded entries, but the emphasis should be pneumatics, not a studded model team like finish.
  15. It doesn't really matter if the white truck has pneumatics or not. It's the model team finish that is NOT allowed.
  16. Remember that this IS a Technic contest. The model being Technic is implied by the contest itself. Usually we allow model team like models, which have a studded finish. But it should definitely be considered a Technic model. Edit: since this contest is all about Technic and Pneumatic, let's NOT do Model Team. A studded model is okay (like the excavator in the picture) but let's not make a Model Team entry. You know I like small and compact builds I have just responded to Max's post. No model team for this contest. A studded build is okay, but no model team like entry. Why are you doing this to me?! No lights are only allowed when using a motorized pump. For all (potentian) contestants: Since this contest is all about Technic and Pneumatic, Model Team entries are NOT allowed. A studded model is okay (like the excavator in the picture) but don't turn it into a Model Team entry. To be clear; this is okay! This is not:
  17. Sure. Some people like to show their progress, maybe get some advice etc. Other people like to build in piece and quiet. The choice is yours As long as you create a topic in the end.
  18. Yup. Why would this not be allowed? Is there a certain rule you are referring too? Nope. Too bad for the Jim's
  19. Yes, please use Bricksafe to host your images, so you can embed them here. Linking to Google Plus isn't an elegant solution. Thanks LXF for helping him out
  20. I sorry, but that's not allowed. You should choose a set of tires and use that for the video and pictures. Looking forward to your entry. I'm inclined to say yes, but I will discuss it with Milan.
  21. Hi, Welcome to EB. Just remember that these MOCs are only allowed when you have not shown them somewhere. And you can only enter with one entry. Don't even go there You have 10 weeks to build! Finish your entry before the 31st of October. Welcome to EB by the way. Can you correct your avatar image? It's broken. I see you are long time member....sorry. Can you still correct your avatar?
  22. Guys, there's an entire 2017 topic devoted to this. Let's keep the discussion over there.
  23. Yup. Technically we call it the Discussion topic, not a WIP topic. Create a topic starting the subject with [TC10] and you are good to go!
  24. Sorry, but we want to focus on the Pneumatic System. So no custom cylinders, even if they are made out of LEGO parts. Create the topic and do the tinckering afterwards. We are obviously interested to see what you have built.
  25. By contribution model, you mean a model that will enter the contest? If you have some progress to show (which you have) you can create your discussion topic whenever you like Entry topic will be opened a week or so before the deadline.
