  1. Atleast the technic and train hub have a "update" mode in which the hub requests a firmware flash. The mode can be activated by pressing the on-button several seconds until the light flashes purple. Video at the bottom of the page: https://docs.pybricks.com/en/latest/start_pup.html If the spike prime / mindstorms hub has the same behavior it *should* :D be save to try a firmware change.
  2. :( Yes, I know. The current problem is: The large angular motor in the volvo dumper does not work, because they did not add the ID til today. Therefore I was curious if the small angular motor works. :)
  3. @Ramacco Thank you, that's early :D Since the app is not released yet I think, can you do me a favour and test one motor with the PU-App and Technic-Hub? Just if it works or not. :)
  4. @Jim Well... there is an update :D https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-mindstorms-51513-porsche-lego-lab/ Basically: They [Promobricks] found the Porsche on the Lego Lab page. The site was removed while they where reading it... Now it's back online with a new set number :D If you want the set, vote for it: https://news.lego-lab.com/new-page
  5. Hehehe... no it wasn't :D https://www.promobricks.de/lego-mindstorms-porsche/110202/ https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-mindstorms-51513-porsche-lego-lab/ Lego Labs Project, but it was discontinued.
  6. Second Mindstorms Set 2020: http://brick4.com/set/16380/porsche If the image is correct: Basically 42096 with motors and sensors. Edit: Many say it's fake... we will see :D
  7. This would be a nice surprise.
  8. In V 3.4.0 is a new predefined activity "custom control" with a new grid-background and a teasing thumbnail. No functionality currently, but it seems that next release might be interesting.
  9. Yep, or the plastik parts inside the absorber are a bit sticky.
  10. Well, yes and yes it is better in cases where wheels can lose ground contact. If that's not enough you can change the transmission and make it even slower. But it is no offroad crawler and never will be.
  11. If you mean that "clicking" sound: The source is not the motor. I'm not 100% sure but I think the "ball pins" and the steering links are causing the click. Or at full steering angle, the entire "steering package" at the front is pressed against the surrounding lift arms and when steering in the other direction, the friction causes the "click" - as I said: not 100% sure. But it's normal.
  12. Whish for a medium set: Tower crane that can be attached to a table, sill,... and has an extra long rope
  13. No. Every technic motor can be used as a servo.
  14. In russian, funny auto translations are available.. xD But listen/read carefully: he applied some mods
  15. I don't see any problem with using PU. Here's a nice example of a Ural 8x8 with 2 technic hubs. From @gate
  16. Naaaahh.... Split it up twice and use the blocks for two motors. Even without split it would be fast enough. The PF motors have never the exactly same speed anyway btw.
  17. I think I'm missing something, why would that be not possible with PU?
  18. That's usually the problem :D If you use the y-axis for speed and x-axis for steering you cannot steer with full speed oder drive with full steering... If you use the angle for steering and radius for speed you cannot steer without driving because you don't have an angle if both axis are 0. That's why controllers for driving use "combined" linear "sliders" which results in a rectangle with independent x/y values and not in a circle. If go into the controller menu in BC2 you can see the output values from the controller. Edit: As @AVCampos said... :) But after all, tracked vehicles at high speed are always somewhat hard to controll :D
  19. I'm not sure if it's a fair expectation that they release a full documentation for implementing a different 3rd-party firmware. I actually never took a look at the full doc on github (just read the things I was looking for), can you tell me what is missing?
  20. I do not know how it's calculated in BC2, but if you are using a joystick on the pad x=1 and y=1 (y=1 and x != 0) at the same time should not be possible because the joystick area is a circle. I guess: y=0; x=1/-1 is one side -100% and the other 100%
  21. Possibly the device IDs are missing, no idea :) At least for motors that's nothing crucial. Basically everything no-matter-how-"closed"-source it is works if enough people are interested in it :D That's why I do not like the "proprietary" plug design. Lego is not even selling own extension cables - for whatever reason. So a lot of things are yayyyy, others are meeeehhhh.
  22. What do you mean with "technic stuff"? Commands for motors with angular measurement are in the doc since 2 years I think. I know that's the point. It's the ususal argument is discussions like that. "XY uses 2.4 GHz remote and will work forever, why is Lego not doing this..." It does not mean that everything will work together forever and after.. ;)
  23. Nice, so every problem is solved :D
  24. Phones that seem to not exist at all in 30 years still have IR but no BT? ;D I maybe wrong, but I think there is no official IR protocol. If you mean, that there are things published by fans: If we accept that as possibility -> everything will work in 30 years ;)
