  1. I was thinking tan or white for the DA, maybe with some dark blue.
  2. Yellow (although the variances in color drive me crazy). Dark and Light Grey Dark red
  3. It's fun to mod official sets. Looks nice!
  4. Very nice! And it looks GREAT as your avatar!
  5. Thanks for the review! Think I'll pass on this one (didn't get last year's WV set either)...more dough to spend on other LEGO sets! I'm not interested in Santa as a theme, and the building doesn't appeal to me...doesn't have much of an interior or substance to it.
  6. One of my cities had a campground on the outskirts with the campers/trailers and a few tents...
  7. I have one of each, but not TH or PC yet. I would LOVE to get extras for parts, but I can't even get one of all the sets I want as it stands. I do build my own modulars, though, and have five of my own designs. I was also wondering if I would get my next modular in October or wait and see if 3x VIP happens in November.
  8. Yay, now we know what the building is called...guesses as to what it will look like? Of course I'm picturing 221 B Baker street, one of those white blocky buildings that are so common in Europe. I have a detective to go with it! (Don't know what the more basic creator minifigs will give us).
  9. Glad you used fleshies. ;) The roof is great! I love the way the dirt behind the plow is turned up...
  10. Beautiful! I love all the colors! ETA: This must be a retirement community with the male/female ratio ;)
  11. Nice! The hair is great. My car's name is Algy ;)
  12. I like the square in front and the setting for the building too!
  13. Ahoj Jozef! Welcome to the forum!
  14. I think FB was on the market when I came out of my Dark Ages (and I think it was my first modular?); I bricklinked CC, GG, and MS, although I only built the house part of MS; didn't like the look of the market part. Still have to get TH and PR, but I will! Didn't realize so many others had bricklinked the first 2 or 3 modulars. ETA: I have the mini modulars, too! I think I bought those thinking I wouldn't get all the full-sized modulars...must've been delusional at the time. ;)
  15. I really like this and the fact that you've stuck to the older bricks. My favorite part is the windows/decoration of the 3rd (2nd) floor, but really, the details look good overall. I hadn't thought about using those shutters as cupboard doors in the kitchen! I think I could do that with other windows as well for an open look. Definitely a fan of 80s windows, and the red looks good here. I have a few of those...might have to play around with them. :)
  16. Great build! I love the details-- the slippers, the wall art, the amazing curtains, pillows on the couch. Nice work to your wife!
  17. Nice work! I have the 94 version, and the building and van are still built!
  18. Thanks for the review! I have the other campers, but will probably get this one too. :) I do like that the interior has a bed and table; I've modded some of the other campers with more of an interior. Tom and Barbara-- are their neighbors named Jerry and Margot? ;)
  19. Another hobby website I frequent has a funds drive at the end of the year... we get a badge saying we support the site (and adblock) for $15/year. I've contributed every year for the past 6 years... I can spare $15 or so a year but wouldn't pay a monthly fee.
  20. I'm not sure why I find this so fascinating. :) Fun!
  21. I definitely like it with another level added. It draws your attention to the middle level(s) better as it was lost before between the busy ground floor and attic. Almost balances out the building better? I've never bought two of a modular (too expensive!), but might have to this time between the olive green and great parts...
  22. Other than the smaller stature, I really like this modular. Even though there's a piece count increase, the building is smaller. I didn't mind the price increase with TH because it was a larger building, but it doesn't seem equal here. On to the building itself... I do like the olive green color as it's different but still muted enough to fit with the other modulars. Won't be putting it next to GG, though! I like all of the details inside... Murphy bed, restaurant, new tiles, attic studio, vine cover over the outdoor seating, new plants. I don't have PC or TH yet, but I might get PR as soon as I can. Now, I have to watch the video because I somehow haven't done that yet!
  23. These LEGO builds are definitely too complicated. They should put the pieces together in the factory for us because I don't have the two or three hours it takes to put a set together.
  24. Last year when flying overseas, I took two little creator sets (the $7 ones) with me on the plane. That way I had six different sets to build and pieces to play around with when I was done. I packed them in a plastic Chinese takeaway container so that the pieces would stay contained when building. I also take LEGO camping... again, a small set that's easy to build, and usually in the same plastic container. The mini modulars would be excellent for travel! Maybe I should take mine apart and build them again. :)
