  1. Oh and I made sure to use that plate-between-studs trick that you reminded me of in your builds. That's how the back engine is held on as well as the side maneuvering thrusters.
  2. Nice Steve, it's got sort of a sting ray shape. Okay, this is for you. Finally got around to doing a Gamma V Laser Craft alt. More pics here. I tried to use snot tricks and use the canopy in a non-standard way. I had a few parts left over. I think I want to try to make a small base out of it next.
  3. Okay I'm going to need to see more pictures of that ship.
  4. Nice! Totally different look with the cockpit in the rear instead of up front. Looks meaner. I really need to do more of these. I've been meaning to get around to it. I'll try to do some this weekend.
  5. http://brickset.com/sets/76059-1/Spider-Man-Doc-Ock-s-Tentacle-Trap That set uses ball jointed fingers.
  6. Great idea. Another variation on this idea is Classic Creator sets. For instance a Classic Space Creator set with two or three minifigs and enough wheels, windscreens, and wings in the right colors to make a few different sets (base, space ship, rover), I personally would by multiples.
  7. So salty. Actually it's like none of the things you say. Stickers and prints are two ways to achieve the same effect. Rubber and non rubber pieces are not. Transparent and non-transparent pieces are not. Your argument makes no sense.
  8. Very very cool!
  9. My argument to anyone who thinks that stickers don't suck is this: If stickers don't suck then surely you wouldn't mind if Lego eliminated torso prints and made them all stickers instead.
  10. I agree with this sentiment for the most parts, but I did like some of the designs: http://brickset.com/sets/70704-1/Vermin-Vaporizer http://brickset.com/sets/70705-1/Bug-Obliterator I also liked some of the smaller human vehicle designs but didn't want to buy the big ugly bug sets they came with. It would have been a better theme if there were colored canopies, no bugs, and no focus on war.
  11. I wish Lego would create classic themed Creator sets. I just want a few classic style minifigs and enough pieces in the right colors to build a few different things. For instance a Classic Space Creator set would include 3 classic space men in different colors, and enough pieces to build a medium sized space ship, rover, or base. It would need three to four trans windscreens in different shapes and each build would use at least 3 of the four. Two sets of wheels, one large and one small; the space ship could use them as thrusters and the base could use them as pillars. Also you need two rockets, which can easily be incorporated into each build (rocket base, rocket transport, rocket ship). You could make some variation of this for Blacktron, Ice Planet, etc. One set a year for $100 each would keep me happy. I'd buy like at least 4 of each.
  12. Awesome! I love transforming combiners!
  13. Milli Vanilli? Supported!
  14. My god. That first one looks rad and the tricks you used to build it are ingenious! Also I need to use that SNOT trick more often where you stick a plate between studs.
  15. Love it. Transparent hinge pieces are great. Is that supposed to be transparent light blue? Looks that way to me, I would normally expect trans dark blue for your MOCs.
  16. Wow, this is so cool!
  17. The flight pod that launches from the main vehicle is super cool!
  18. That thing looks ready to rock in that second pic. COME AT ME BRO.
  19. WHOA! Frigging awesome!
  20. This is simply amazing.
  21. Adorbs.
  22. Black Crows "Jealous Again" plays in my mind every time I check this thread.
  23. Thanks for all the comments guys! :D
  24. That is great Steve! You come up with fantastic shapes that I would never think of. Your alt builds inspired me to try something as different as possible and stretch my creativity with the X1 Patrol Craft alt build.
