  1. That is super cool and totally weird! Like the splash of teal as well.
  2. Thanks guys! I totally Bricklinked that cockpit as soon as I could. Didn't buy the set. As for the making the bottom all grey, you're right. I never really thought about that. I always think fuselage/cockpit = blue & wings = gray, but the bottoms were all gray. I never really look at the bottom of sets so out of sight out of mind I guess.
  3. Thanks! The top two backgrounds were found on Google image search, and the last I got from a thread here on Eurobricks. I'm pretty happy with the positional thrusters too. The middle thruster can change position which is kinda neat. Here are the pics you asked for:
  4. Hey all! I'd like to share my most recent MOC. I call it Star Chaser. Hope you guys like it!
  5. I've been saying this for a while but I think Lego could release one space set a year as a themed Creator set and it would be a hit. One Creator set shouldn't compete too badly with Star Wars either. Year one: Classic Space Creator, instructions for space ship, rover, base Year two: Blacktron Creator, instructions for space ship, rover, mech etc. M:tron, Ice Planet, and Futuron would be pretty popular too I bet. Just make sure to include 3 minifigs in each, as well as a decent assortment of windscreens and wheels (which could double as thrusters or columns for bases).
  6. Anyone know if this is legit? It's supposedly Samsonite Canada.
  7. This reminds me. We need a bard CMF! Not the Shakespeare kind, but the lute-strumming D&D kind of bard.
  8. Man. I've been getting a few of each space-related CMF but this guy...I might have to get at least 10!
  9. My prediction: It will be a Space musical, and people will like the Space stuff but hate that it's a musical. It will flop. Lego will say "see Classic Space fans, everybody hates space that's not Star Wars or some other license. Sorry!" This is based on my so-far predictive theory that the universe hates me. :D
  10. I don't know if it's totally taboo to mention this in the 2017 thread, but I hear the next Lego Movie is going to be a Space musical. Or maybe that is a bad translation of "space opera." If true I imagine we'll get some pretty sweet Sci Fi sets out of it, but in late 2018 at the soonest.
  11. Wow Aanchir, you weren't kidding. The red mech is straight out of Exo-Force. The black mono-wheel mech looks like a Blacktron robot! There's also a very nice rover that hearkens back to All Terrain Vehicle or Mobile Rocket Transport with the inverted sloped canopy.
  12. I've been seeing a lot of old Miatas cruising around lately, many of them with giant aftermarket spoilers! Never thought that would be a thing.
  13. I always liked this set. There were very few small bases in the Space themes. This one looked almost like a robot with the canopies and antenna making its "head." I bought this set way back when it came out which was the year I graduated high school. It made me nostalgic for the old Futuron sets I used to love.
  14. I want to see Space and Castle themed Creator or Creator Expert sets. The 2017 Creator space shuttle has instructions for a ship, rover, and base. I want the same thing but in the Classic Space theme!
  15. Wow! That is amazing! And that might be oldest ever online image of a LEGO Star Wars moc. Bricks n Pieces wasn't really on my radar until now. Time to spend hours looking at online scans!
  16. Ship model, rover model, and base model! This is exactly what I've been saying they should do. Now just do it in Classic Space! :D
  17. If so, I really hope that's a mockup and the final version has that canopy in yellow!
  18. Very cool! Love the Buck Rogers influence.
  19. Perfect shape and colors! I'd like to see it without the helmets, it might look even better.
  20. And yet Lego still cranks out realistic space shuttle sets almost yearly.

Lego really needs to make that windscreen in more colors! I'd kill to get it in trans yellow.
  22. What I don't understand is: 1) How do they print the same exact pieces just without the Lego name on each stud? Do they recreate each mold? I assume that would be too expensive. 2) What's the point of even removing the Lego prints on the studs? It's already a blatant rip off anyway. Why not go for a total forgery?
  23. A Mongolian Falconer would be awesome.
  24. I talked to someone who bought a Lepin UCS Millennium Falcon and was super happy to get that set for a reasonable price (hundreds instead of thousands). I understand wanting to get a good deal but psychologically I couldn't deal with having a fake. I need the real deal. I still remember (from childhood) years of finding Tyco blocks mixed in with my Legos and throwing them away in disgust. For some reason I have strong brand loyalty to Lego. But I guess there are people who are just fine with a cheap knock off.
  25. If you're gonna steal a freaking toy, just steal the whole thing! Don't take parts out and then return it. That makes you a loser scum bag on top of being a thief.
