    I think a CMF series of all anthropomorphic animals would be cool (happy ones, not angry warriors a la Chima).

    With a new paint job, many of the Chima head/helmet(?) moulds would look quite friendly. Some of them have moulded-in armour and such and those wouldn't work, but the side characters look a little more plain and their moulds would be perfect.

    Thanks OL! Doing alternate builds feels like a very pure form of the Lego experience to me. You just have the bricks you have, there's no worrying about what bricks you should buy to make the MOC better. The limitations make you focus on the fun part, which is building the best MOC out of what's in front of you. Oops, should be fixed now.

    So I bought my first Friends set today. I'm a middle aged man but these sets are too cool. I'm not a fan of the mini-dolls because I just like the traditional Lego minifigs too much, but the sets and colors are great. Anyway, I was thinking. These sets remind me of something. The peaceful setting, the whimsical designs, the fancy architecture and flowers, the non-standard minifigs. Where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, Fabuland. I LOVE Fabuland. Anyway, I wanted to stick some of my Chima heads on the minidolls but sadly regular minifig heads don't work (unless you use something like a 1x1 round plate with a hole in it as an adapter but that makes for a strangly long neck). So I used some Collectible Minifigure bodies with Chima heads. I think it works! Fabuland was so idyllic and quaint. Maybe they can bring it back! If they use the minifigure dolls as a base all the better, because the old Fabuland figures didn't use the standard minifig body either. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

    Too bad Lego refuses to make any new trans green windscreens! I guess they still make some in trans bright green but I'm not sure how that would look.

    Next up is 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport: It's obvious that this set really wants to be a space ship! I had to have the dual rockets. The set has only one cone so one rocket has a sensor array on the front. I like a little asymmetry anyway. Who needs a roof? Not Lego astronauts! Besides, that dish in the back is a bubble shield generator.

    Hey guys! I recently made some alternate builds of old Space sets, using only parts from each set. I had a lot of fun making these! First up is Space Supply Station: I decided to make a space ship! I really wanted rockets on the sides but I didn't have the cones or thruster pieces. I think the satellite dish pieces worked well enough in a pinch. I wanted to make those support structures into wings. I also wanted to make the white slope pieces into wings. So I did both!

    This looks like one of the best and most exciting themes in a long time. Good thing they don't have regular minifigs or I would be forced to buy these.

    Yep, that change alienated a lot of people for the sake of arguably looking slightly better with a new grey. A huge mistake in my book.

    I wish Lego would just give Benny his own TV show and make Lego Space a real brand with half-hour commercials. But I'm pretty sure they can't do anything like that without breaking some sort of agreement in their Star Wars license. Also the sets would probably have some ridiculous action gimmick shoehorned in.
