  1. Very nice small engine. I've tried to build a rotary engine in a size you could fit in a 1:8 scale car a while back, but I have not been successful. I love the RX7 FC and FD, but without an engine...
  2. If you wanted to do that, I'd recommend starting from zero. A talented builder could probably fit a 8 speed sequential transmission in a custom built frame of the same scale. Tbh I dont get why some of you even bother to modify this car, I think you could really step up your game if you just built your own model of the car without using LEGOs chassis. For some small fixes, I get it, no need to build a new car. But some of the redesigns above go a lot further.
  3. Very cool, I always find these sequential gearboxes intresting, even though I only build and drive with manual transmissions If they really end up putting a simple 4 speed in the Land rover, it means they have not bothered to even try. Well, why do I even care? I dislike SUVs anyways
  4. Yeah thats what I meant, I was not able to explain it well. So, what I wanted to say... I would have gone for a flat engine. Close enough imo.
  5. Nice progress on the BodyworBodywork So you chose to have two crankshafts to get the correct piston placement? I would have used one crankshaft, incorrect piston placement is just a thing LEGO fake engines have. Like that you would hava a more simple and compact engine, leaving more space in the engine bay for nice details
  6. I really love the power in such a small package, looks like a lot of fun. I like the bodywork as well, but the colors...not my taste looks like it could be straight out of fast&furious, neon green with flames... But still, very cool. Power/weight must be crazy for a LEGO model.
  7. Wow, the front is unmistakably Audi Very clean bodywork. NICE
  8. Damn, those are some cool wheels I thought about building a RWB Porsche a while back, but without any deep dish Rims... I hope LEGO will release another Supercar soon, so I can get some Rims other than the Porsche ones. The Bugatti Rims are just not my taste. I really want a set of 5 or 6 spoke rims. These would look good on almost any car you can think of
  9. I think so too, the red interior will match the rims nicely. I just wish there were some more differently shaped rims available. Some 90s style rims would be so cool as well
  10. I am working with Thorsten50 to create instructions for this model, but it will still take a while. I somehow happened to get a set of these sweet Rims I'll post a Pic of the NSX with these, when I finally have her back in one piece again
  11. Very cool model, you managed to squeeze so much stuff in such a small car Just sad you had to kill the air suspension. Where would have been the problem when the Car sinks to the Ground when the battery is off? All the guys driving cars with air suspension drop them to the ground when parking somewhere
  12. This is quite a complicated setup to recreate in lego. There is no way I could get a solid axle even close to that thin, but I'll do my best. I'll probably have to run a support bar underneath the axle to the back of the chassis to keep everything stiff, as there is not much room for alternative reinforcements anywhere else. This might not be 100% accurate, but I'd rather have a clean Interior than a 100% accurate underbelly
  13. Oh wow, thats why you used bar suspension. I personally dont like twisting my axles, I cringe just thinking about it. I would probably have used small linear actuators. But if you are fine with it, its ok I guess
  14. Very cool Model, I always liked the look of these TDs. What kindof mechanism are you using for the Lowring system?
  15. Correct. Since half stud axle stops are always light gray, this might do the trick
  16. Thank you for your words. You are like the first person to not only like my creation, but also be willing to recreate it that I know of. I'll stay in touch with Thorsten, but it will probably take a while till I can get stuff done, so It will take at least 1.5-2 months or more till instructions could be done. Gray Gear
  17. Great progress, the reworked front looks a lot better now, just like more "fluid", and less bulky. You could put 2 black 2L technic Liftarms thin facing backwards on that 6l axle in the middle to fill these 2 half stud gaps. Removable Bodywork is pretty cool too. Cant wait to see your next progress
  19. Yup, you are right. I got these in black to get rid of the 2 light gray clips peeking out of the sideskirts of my NSX
  20. I'll do the engine swapped version, so power won't be an issue
  21. I just realized the new Wheel Hubs could also be used to extremely effectively gear down other functions, a (was it 1:5?) gear down in such a small package is pretty sweet.
  22. Hi guys, I present to you my next project: The AE 86 from Initial D! Scale will be ~1:8, so the 86 will be ready to take on my NSX on the downhill Features I am planning to include in this model: -full suspension (double wishbone in the front, live rear axle in the back) -6 speed manual transmission hooked up to fake engine -HoG steering from rear Bumper, connected to steering wheel -opening hood, doors, and trunk -pop up headlights that pop up and down controlled from dash All functions will NOT be motorized. I hope you'll enjoy this Eurobeat fueled project, and I hope to keep you updated ;) Here is a Pic of the transmission I designed for this model: A super compact 6 speed manual transmission designed to fit unter the front seats. It will be equipped to a shifting system similar to the one I developed for my Honda NSX. First transmission proof of concept. This post was modified to better introduce readers and remove outdated stuff, hope you'll understand Gray Gear
  23. I didn't use LDD or any other Software exept Sariels Model Scaler to build this model. I just built it from real Bricks right away. I dont like building stuff in LDD or LDCad first, its just not as fun and way more frustrating than building with real bricks right away. I only use LDCad to try some stuff with parts I dont have.
  24. I kinda do want to make some instructions, but It is only worth the time If people build your model. And my Build requires to get some non-LEGO bricks, which are a LEGO mold but different color. They are pretty affordable on Aliexpress, but I dont know if anyone would really want to do it. I can see you have a lot of experience doing instructions for other models. And honest work obviously isnt cheap, right? While I do not want to make a lot of money by selling instructions, I also dont want to lose money. New bricks cost enough already . What would I have to provide you with for you to make some instructions, and what would you like paid?
  25. I want to at least see a NSX in real life once, and this dude owns one? He is one lucky guy. Could you maybe take a picture of the area between the Seats where the wall behind the Seats meets the center tunnel? I have not been able to find any pictures of that. Probably there's nothing worth noting there, but I have no Idea. If you can't, no worries. I dont know if your boss is chill or not
