This is just my take on this... I dislike where new cars go. Some are fine, but others are the uglyest things I have ever seen. I dont want to build a Renault Twizzy. I want awesome, timeless designs, cool engines that make a hell lot of power, flamespitting exhausts...So I'll keep building my favorite cars from the past. I am not here to change the world, I am here to recreate my automotive goddeses from the past, that changed the car world forever. And I am doing it for myself, and myself only.

What the hell ist this formating? It's really unpleasant to read imo. I'm on mobile, so not gonna watch a yt vid rn. Edit: Thats a really nice model, and capable too. But you should really work on your presentation. Use a nomal sized font, post some pictures, and try to write a little better. I know it's not easy, english isn't my mother tongue as well, but I still think you can do a little better. -
Whoa, I wouldn't do that. I'd keep using the Model Scaler, and make some fitting seats when the bodyline is done.Don't fit the roof to the seats, but the other way around, is what I am trying to say.

I always do the Bodywork first, the Interior is about the last thing I do when I build a car lol

Okay, here you go. (Especially you, @Matiss56 , I hope this helps ) I made a instruction video for the rotary engine. Its also my first time speaking in a video I hope my accent isn't that bad Feel free to use it in your own rotary powered cars, they deserve lots of love

I agree that the white and black color combo looks pretty lowkey, but I like it that way. I'll add some bright colored detailing in the future, probably yellow brake calippers, yellow shock absorbers and blue racing seats. And yes, red wheel arches do exist, I have some already I tried to do the pop up headlights, but have you looked at the shape of these? I was not even close to being able to get these clean looking and working at the same time. The NSX Headlights already were a huge pain source

I ll probably do s short video showing how the engine works and how to build it. But it will take a while until I can get to it

Oh, god damn it. Mirrors. I gotta make some mirros too. I seriously forgot that was still on the to do list . The ones on the pic are the ones I alway thought were really cool, but they wont be easy to replicate. But I'll give it a shot. I thought about doing yellow too, but white was just easier to do. And now I think it looks better too

So, here it is, the final update for the WIP thread. There is still a lot to do, but its mostly exchanging differently colored pieces, putting in some Bucketseats and a floor and adding some more details. I finished the rear, and mounted the huge rear diffusor and the big GT wing. I improved the B pillar Also, after @T Lego's advice I revisited the Hood, and exchanged the many small liftarms with two 3x11 panels. Tell me what you think, and feel free to point out some possible improvements. Thank you Gray Gear

Okay, this question might be stupid if I somehow fail to understand how engine stuff works, but I am pretty sure the air intake on the a-pillar is useless. The air for the engine is sucked in by the supercharger intake on top of the engine, and pushed straight into the Engine itself. I love the build, so I just wanted to point this out -

I am sorry but those tracks look terrible... Just no Wheels are the way to go imo -
Help needed for an assembly
Gray Gear replied to bj51's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I agree that I went a little overboard on this one, there have been some dumb things I was trying to point at, but turned out to not be one of them. I'm sorry. I tried to explain my reasoning, but I am at fault here, and I am not denying that. Sorry -
You sure know your stuff Opening the hood takes a good while, but I dont want to gear it up beacause it it gets too hard to turn the knob. Such a huge hood is heavy, and the actuators sit pretty far back I'll try using panels in the hood, I also thik this would be a good improvement. B pillar is still under construction, the angle isn't even fixed yet. But the shape is very difficult to achieve, at least for me. And yes, 4 shocks in the rear are nececary, but the 2 outer ones on each side will probably be swapped for softer ones in the future.

So, at last it is finally it is time to show some progress The Car now has a full rollcage in it, and it's not just for show. It really helped to stiffen up the chassis, and now you can just grab the car at the roof and pick it up! I added two small linear actuators to lit up the huge hood, and it works really well, and odens quite far Its operated by turning the small gear on the passenger side. The rear is still very much WIP. I hope you like it, please tell me what you think Gray Gear

Very nice, especially the use of those Power Miners spike wheels on the Rims. Fits the contest theme perfectly. But you should add something more to the rear, it looks kinda naked rn, compared to the rest of the truck. Maybe slap some fuel Canisters on there, or some more chains. -

I dont know anything about trucks, but this thing looks so damn huge and cool, damn. Black and red is always a good choice. I like using alternative building techniques too, but bending parts isn't good. Just please don't. Well done. What's the overall part count? -

Well, as always you've proven some incredible skill, but...I still dislike it because I just dislike the look of the real counterpart as well. A pickup with a Spoiler? No thanks. Those chrome Bugatti wheels are really nice, I just recently got my hands on a completely black set tho, and I like them better -
Very nice, I like it looks very roubust If there is such a huge flame coming out of the header, wouldn't there be even bigger flames coming out the exhaust tho? I would have replaced the wrecking ball with a 4-barrel Flak turret, but its your build and not mine, and the wrecking ball doesn't run out of ammo, so thats a +

Help needed for an assembly
Gray Gear replied to bj51's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This might not be the ideal example for this, because there problem is a bit more complicated than it seemed, made clear by adding more pictures later on. I would have liked this topic if it was a WIP MOC thread, with the question added at the end. That way there would be a nice benefit for the creator AND the people reading this. My problem with everyone creating single question threads that usually die after very few replies is that it pollutes the page causing great MOCs that deserve lots of attention being flushed off the first page really fast. Also this makes it less fun to scroll back and look for cool old MOCs, because there is a lot of that stuff in between...Thats all I am sayin. -
Help needed for an assembly
Gray Gear replied to bj51's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am not saying its not a valid question - but I bet there already is a thread this question could have been asked in. If you put a year of work into this, the I tip my hat to you, thats dedication. Edit: In a huge Model like this you'll want all the stability you can get, and thats by using full length liftarms. But thats just my opinion, so... -
Help needed for an assembly
Gray Gear replied to bj51's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just change the damn angles a little and make it sturdy instead. If thats that easy then you wouldn't have to make a new topic. Please people, figure stuff out yourself instead of creating a new topic for every little bump in your road. Also, if you really have to ask, please do it in a topic it fits in, instead of creating a new one right away. Rant over, please dont get offended, but stuff like this is annoying, and I know I am not the only one thinking that way.
