call me old shool but i prefer the wired aproach. what you could do is have multiple switches be controlled by one controller and then have that wirelessly communicate. would remove the need for chips in each switch. besides cable lengt issues there are no downsides to this approach.

This will be the tread where i will share all my mils mocs. MILS is a standart where you have modules that follow a certain standart. For further info about MILS read here: https://www.abellon.net/MILS/ lets start with three mocs that have been converted to mils: hope you like these! more coming soon!

true true. eventhough i was born in the early 2000s a time where chips were becomming more widespread it wasnt nearly as bad as it is today. take cars for example: todays cars are rolling computers with all their driver aids and sensors. the only chips my car has are the most basic ones for esp and abs and for the stereo. everything related to driving is mechanical otherwise. was one of the last cars to use a throttle cable instead of an electronic one.

is there really a need for chips in these turnouts though? the 12v ones certainly didnt have any.

yes these are what he ment. i think he wants lego to make new ones. -
not remove but rather replace. if you are removing it you are bridging over it which could lead to the motors dying if used in the wrong circumstances. and yes you have to crack the motor open to do so.

maybe the termal fuse is dead if they have that?

the wheels seem a bit big but i guess thats just a compromise you have to make -
ok interesting i wasnt shure about it. i knew emf is used in brushless sensorless escs to controll the phases but i didnt know it could also be used for that purpose. i also dont have any powered up stuff and thus no way of trying

nice mod! looks pretty good -
that is true as we cant really change the parameters of a pu hubs internal firmware as far as i know. we would need some kind of tach sensor on an non driven wheel to detect wheelspin.
-
a modded one with all the neccessary sensors could but for pure 9v you are correct

i hope youll get better. tell covid to go f... itself in the corner.

thats also kinda true i get your point. for me the design just isnt good looking. i for example really like peugeots current design. but i really shouldnt be too judgemental when it comes to cars: my car is a 2002 renault kangoo with a whopping 75 hp and plasticky interior.

[WIP] Lego monorails. [Custom Rail Systems (CRS)]
XG BC replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Train Tech
you can use pretty much any lego motor of the past like 20-25 years that has a technic axle output. if you want to go really small you can also use something like a modded servo or a cirquitcube motor. -
thank you!

thanks! i do plan to add more layers to the building. next one will be an automated storage warehouse. with a lift for the agvs to go up into. after that maybe some office space where new products are planned and designed
