i have now atleast digitally made 2 new types of drive stations: they are modelled after the poma type delta and type alpha drive terminals. these are quite popular in the us and in france, the home of poma. some of them where even later converted to detachable chairlifts if the owner of the lift found it necessary to make the lift detachable by just adding the neccessary components infront of the existing drive terminal thus reducing cost. https://www.alpinforum.com/forum/download/file.php?id=52396&mode=view here you can clearly see the regular delta fixed grip terminal with the stuff for the detaching added infront of it. here is another one: this one has a alpha type terminal with the detachement station infront of it. some where built all at once though because early poma detachables where always fixed grip terminal + detachable terminal with the equipment to transport / detach the chairs. this is the older delta type drive terminal which was used for new lifts till the 90s: this one wasnt easy to do because you need clearance for the chairs to pass between the pillars of the station. it looks ok ish in my opinion but i am not 100% happy with it. if you have any suggestions feel free to write them here. the other station is the poma alpha terminal which they use since the early 90s till today. i am very happy with this one as it looks good with all the odd angles and roundness in it. hope you like my models! feel free to post ideas, critisim/how you like the models here. Stay Safe!

thank you! your next project? ;-) -
i was inspired by someone from the 1000steine.de forum. look at this: https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=383382

yes i forgot sinclair please forgive me i am too young to have seen these when they where new. i am an early 2000s kid but your project is interesting aswell
-
oh yes now i know like a zx spectrum themed one! why didnt i think of sinclair i thought of every computer manufacturer of the 80s but sinclare i forgot!

the angles for the cab where inspired by another model of this very loco on 1000steine.de though this one is 8w but you could maybe fit in a 9v block in there with panels for the hood and something like an sbrick but it will be a tight fit. as for tiny i wouldnt say that there are smaller locos out there.
-
lemme guess ibm and the second one i dont know unfortunately
-
Today i decided to create a vossloh G6 3-axle shunting loco. the build was especcialy tricky at the windows/ roof and making the rear axle swivel so that it can get through the curves. but without further talking here are the pics: this one sadly cant be built due to some parts not beeing available in the shade of green of the prototype here are loads of different liveries of the model. some can be built irl like the bottommost one, the lime green white one and the bright light orange one but some arent buildable due to lack of parts in the required colors. Hope you like this model!

awesome! then you are in good company with your nerdieness i guess. the atari wagon looks awesome with the colored stripe and the black. kinda missing the wood grain from the og 2600 though.
-
not bad but i would a: use cut rigid hose for the pantograph to eliminate the sticking out bars and b: try to make a real cab with snot construction

you really did it! awesome!

i have now reopened the receiver and removed the obviously defective motor driver. here you can see how the driver is obviously broken just by looking at it. and here it is gone now when powering it up the receiver part does not heat up anymore like it did when the broken ic was in place. the led still blinks but ofcourse no output. if anyone has the scematic for the driver ic please post it here. this will be the chip thats going in. and no thats not a special trick or anything the ln293d really is that big compared to the chip it replaces. it will be mounted on a daughterboard in a socket will post new progress soon!

i am in! maybe rubber band drive with cirquitcube motors?
-
So i have this dead lego powerfunctions receiver laying around that i have fried a couple of years ago. the receiver part still works but the motor driver is completely dead so the led blinks as if it received something but no motor spins. My plan is now as i have a couple of ln 293d h-bridge drivers and a soldering iron to cut out the old driver and solder in the new one into an external breadboard which i will connect to the og pads. it will be a bit frankensteined but who cares if it works and you can save ressources in the process. has anyone of you ever done this and what are your thoughts about it? I will update this thread with progress once i come around to doing it.
