  1. the thing is you can use 1x2 plates/tiles on the studs of the Magnet couplers to get a much more solid connection although this might have been too fiddly for them to make it official.
  2. i think you kinda failed your quoting here but yes studying is priority. no geography to study for me of course as i am studying electrical engineering but yes.
  3. sat down on studio today and made the railings look better.
  4. looks good. takes the sloped front of the original design into account while still being easy to build. i like it.
  5. had some time today and was looking at this wagon again, realized it cant stay that way, the locomotive is just too nice looking for that wagon, that would be an orient express situation in reverse. it looks better now, the main changes are making the top stripe go through it, changing the windows for just transparent bricks (the small window is a thing on the real one too) and making the lights in the front less flimsy. front, lights are actually mounted better now, top stripe goes all the way. here it is with the locomotive, its a start: fits a lot better now, still needs some more details (railings mainly) i have only one wagon due to.my Layout being rather small. thats all for now!
  6. agreed, starting of with the base set is a good aproach.
  7. stumbled across this on reddit: https://reddit.com/r/LEGOtrains/s/lFpMYaxFNg looks like a good starting point, the Windbreakers and 4th driver make it look better, the og loco that @LEGOTrainBuilderSG made is a tad big for the wagons for my taste (just to be absolutely clear, this loco is still an awesome model)
  8. so here are my thoughts: -it runs on normal track and r40 too. good. -the coaches look very nice. -the locomotive looks like the hogwarts express one tbh. maybe a bit better with actual connecting rods but not good. looks like a playset loco, nothing that fits to the wagons. needs serious modding. overall its ok, loco isnt up to the rest of the set.
  9. oh for shure thats also a thing not to have it bunched up so much.
  10. i feel the same way. of course it would have been nice but sometimes there just isnt the time to do a thing in the way you want to and you need to skip it.
  11. Just a quick question for you guys: will there be an octrainber this year or not, or will it just be later in the year? (just to clarify, dont want to preassure anyone, just curious about if there is or not, probably wont take part anyways, first semester of technical college is enough).
  12. oh for shure. was very interesting to see. and i was staggered on how clean it was. old, a bit run down but clean, our older subway stations are usually quite dirty.
  13. awesome @Hod Carrier! was on holiday in London recently and these deep tube trains and Stations are small as hell, oh and hot, not the kind of Underground trains/stations i am used to (Munich and Nuremberg which are newer systems from the 1970s with bigger trains and bigger Stations, more like your crossrail stations in size). was certainly interesting, Tunnels barely bigger than the trains, seemingly chaotic foot tunnels in the Stations, just a whole different experience.
  14. 3 Weeks isnt old here i have bumped my own posts from like a year ago.
  15. maybe use a normal powerfunctions/powered up train motor and this for power pickup from the rails: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/191833-9v-power-pickups/
  16. only one word i have to describe this: lovely!
  17. been a while bzt would work too. basic bricks have been available then as have technic axles and gears right?

  19. edit: since the hyperlinks didnt work i will now link that post directly: https://www.doctor-brick.de/threads/mini-gbc.19227/ hope this resolves the issue.
  20. honestly it will be fine as long as the roof has some structural integrity.
  21. Buggy motor (maybe multiple) can be fast enough i think.
  22. having been to czech republic can confirm nice country. and good auto mechanics too that fixed a mk4 golfs window that dropped. 10/10 would recommend visiting. also home of my favourite electronics youtuber, diodegonewild. awesome model aswell of course.
  23. you know what? not that stupid of an idea tbh. for a track feeder especially. but either way here is the fenced in car:
