  1. Need advice. Should I buy the Asylum when the double VIP points are still active or should I wait and let the promotion pass and buy the Orthanc Set instead?
  2. But where can you guys see the tower in the picture? Am I blind or something?
  3. Next week I'm visiting a LEGO store for the first time and I need some parts for a minifigure display but I have some questions... What do I do when I need a LEGO element that is out of reach. (too high) Do I ask an employee or is there a mobile step-up?
  4. I know right? The pronunciation of the names, the errors that often occur concerning background information and builds (Minifig and building-wise)... But it's fun to see the train riding circles
  5. I don't want to be the party pooper but:
  6. I know this is getting old but really... 30 dollars versus 50 euro (= 64 dollars). That's just outrageous. Especially when it's the only set I was going to buy :/ Excellent job on all the designs though... Hopefully there will be designer videos.
  7. Thanks for the new desktop wallpaper
  8. If they would make a classic cartoon technodrome with Kraang, old-fashioned April & Shredder + the duo Bebop and Rocksteady, then I have no problems to close this licensed theme. (Well maybe add a Leatherface and Casey)
  9. Nice job on the lair. BTW, is this set only built with pieces from The Goblin King-set?
  10. It's also € 80 in most Belgian shops for the Shellraiser. BTW (for Belgian AFOLs only I guess): The toyshop 'Fun' has a nice Easter Toy reduction of 10% (Visit the online-shop and print out the coupon.) Grabbed The Dragonbike, the Lair and the Krang Escape set for only € 80,50. (Saved me 20 EUR) Shredder's Dragon bike looks a lot better in person than it does on the box art/online pictures. Now to find me some space to display them...
  11. Just browsed through the pictures. That sea captain is ideal for a custom Captain Haddock (Tintin Series). Just add Thorin Oakenshield's head.
  12. I'm almost done building the set but does anyone else have problems with the pieces asked? I seem to be missing a 10x1 and a 3x1 dark grey brick. Hope I didn't lose them when I took the 2 sets apart... The set looks surprisingly good, very nice as a display piece
  13. Very nice improvements. My suggestion is to put a fancy expensive car in the basement. and a smalle wall including a modern fireplace.
  14. Check out these awesome alternative models. The alternative Shredder vehicle makes me want to get that set after all. It looks better than the official bike. *click*
  15. That set does look promising. Too bad I don't have space left in my Detolf cabinets... I now finally know what the reference is in Jim Carrey's Bruce Almighty: Hi-Yo Silver, Away! (start 0:20)
  16. I finally decided to buy the Goblin King set. Amazon.co.uk had a 37% discount so I only paid 60 euro instead of 100 euro.
  17. I think The_Creator is just mocking the U.K. and European LEGO consumers. Look at the Arkham Asylum set for instance. EUR & GBP have more value than the USD but still the sets costs more for us than the USA. (Yes, I know Batman is still more popular in the USA but still...) He has a point in his pricing though.
  18. 1 - 1200? 2 - 4 (if you include the eagle) 3 - no 4 - no 5 - 159 euro/ 149 dollars 6 - 7-14? 7 - November 2013
  19. Welcome back I guess. One small detail though. There's already a topic about ACBF in the multimedia section. Sorry to burst your bubble. Hope to see some MOCs about this theme in the future though.
  20. Since my dream license is finally released in Europe, although the sets are quite expensive and it is based on the new cartoon, I'm very eager to buy them. On a sidenote, I was checking some videos on youtube and I encountered this nice stop-motion video: I don't think it's been posted here before but I hope you enjoy it anway. There are shorts of every turtle on the same channel. I still find it strange that they based the human characters on the lego face designs whil they didn't go for the same eye-design for the turtles. They could have just used white eyes or something.
  21. Wouldn't it be great if the main character loses his hand and uses 'hook' as a hookblade like in Revelations?
  22. My guess is that Smaug will be brick-built. They do it all the time with Ninjago. I don't mind if they would use some 'Bionicle' elements (don't know the official term for these pieces ). BTW do we know the number of bricks in the UCS Orthanc Set? My guess on the minifigures that go along with the Orthanc Tower: - Saruman - 2 Uruk-hai with White Hand symbols - 2 Orcs with a banner - Grima Wormtongue I don't think we'll get Treebeard in this set. They will probably use him for a set in the 3rd wave. Since The Hobbit will have sets at least until summer 2014, I hope that there'll be a small final 4th wave with everything that is needed for the Minas Tirith Battle. - Oliphaunt Set, - Minas Tirith itself/ the gates - Fellbeast with the Witch King - Battlepack similar to the Uruk-hai battlepack
  23. Very nice ER0L, love to get my hands on that movie star figure now. Don't know if I can wait for the double VIP points... When is happening anyway? 1st of March?
  24. Just bought my 3 bags of this set. Luckily I've got the judge. Now I have my 'On Stranger Tides' Jack Sparrow in disguise. My other 2 bags included the cop and the chicken suit guy. Hopefully Lego will start using these cop caps in regular sets. My only minifigure I want now is the Movie Star because she will fit in nicely with the Cinema Palace.
