  1. I hope it's the Orthanc Tower but I think it will be the palace as this was stated by some guys at the Lotr-thread because that set hasn't been officially confirmed yet...
  2. I think it's just golden tinfoil or something.
  3. just imagine: Flying around with Iron Man (Lego Batman 2: Superman/Green Lantern style) and hear the tune 'Shoot To Thrill' from AC/DC

  5. Thx for the pictures, seemed clearer than others I have seen. Seems my analysis a couple of pages back seems legit. A bit off-topic but are you Dutch, you have a similar accent to English-speaking dutchmen.
  6. Nice piece to display. Now only complete the fellowship to make it perfect
  7. The image seemed to be removed from Flickr. I guess Lego demanded him to remove them? New images of the Modular Cinema building are up though.
  8. Hmm Hopefully Scarecrow & Penguin will turn up in cheaper sets because bye bye Arkham Asylum, Hello Orthanc Tower
  9. It seems that the measurements align with the picture of a Lego Orthanc set from that 'owly picture'. If this is in fact a real set, my guess is that this will be an hard to find/exlusive set just like the Arkham Asylum set. Hopefully they will add Wormtongue or something. It would be great addition to the wave since the Wizard Battle is the interiour part of the Tower and the eagle of the Black Gate would come in handy to represent the fleeing of Gandalf. Maybe that's why there are only 4 sets in the booklet.
  10. My guess would be: (14.99 EUR) Wizard Battle (49.99 EUR) Council of Elrond (69.99 EUR) Battle at the Black Gate (109.99 EUR) Pirate Ship Ambush Since European prices are always higher than American ones + other elements such as 'liscensed theme', new molds or colouring do nboost the prices. Of course I'm talking retail prices, not online/amazon prices.
  11. I made an analysis of 2 catalogue sets with 2 bonus-level videogame sets: Let me know what your thoughts are.
  12. Aah the nostalgia... I can just hear the main theme tune when I look at your MOCs. Got to love that entrance and exit from your waterslide attraction. Time for a ladybug-rollercoaster and umbrella shop, don't you think so?
  13. Too bad about the whole Hunt for Gollum thing. I honestly didn't think of the chronological issues. We always have the fanmade movie on the internet. I'm still hoping we see Sméagol in one of the Hobbit sequels although I know his part is played and finished in the first one and doesn't return in the books at least. Back on topic. When was the first toy convention again. I believe we had some 'illegal' pics from someone last year when pictures were prohibited at the convention.
  14. Come again? Is this official or just speculation. Is Sméagol returning in The 3rd movie? If this is official, you made my day! That means another Lego Gollum/Sméagol variation.
  15. Haven't spotted it in Belgium. Even the Shire-set is rare over here. I don't know if you guys in Greece have Toys'r'us-shops but I think that's your only chance of getting them. You could always order online ofcourse or visit a LEGO-shop in Germany or somehting.
  16. Looks like there will be more variation for Bilbo. He wears a blue coat when he meets Smaug: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3726486528/tt1170358
  17. My only hope is that the Gandalf the White/Saruman hairpiece will be the same as in the videogame. If my eyes don't deceive me, I belief that the corsair ship is exactly the same as the videogame design. With most of my wished sets designed. I do still hope for a 3rd wave including - 'The Balrog', - 'Treebeard', - 'Osgiliath setting' including a Fell Beast and Faramir' - 'White Tree of Gondor' - 'Lothlórien' Since Old Bilbo isn't in the Council set, I have a gut feeling that he will be included in a Lego LotR Dictionary or an exclusive minifig when they plan to release the Lego Hobbit videogame. I was planning to complete my Hobbit sets but I guess I'll wait for some more discounts. The 2 instant buys for me are the Black gate & the Wizard Duell.
  18. Sorry for interrupting the current speculations but I would like a picture request. Can someone make a pic from the Mr Freeze minifig but with Hawkeye's Goggle face instead of Freeze's? Thx in advance.
  19. Only sets I'm buying are the Silver Mine & the Duell in Colby City. The Coach is just too expensive (and out of proportion if you want to display it with the town.)
  20. I don't usually hang out in the Star Wars section but this set really looks great. Small iconic vehicle + 2 instant recognisable characters from the movie. I'll probably pick this up when it's up for sale. Then all I need is a Darth Vader & Yoda since I only want the most iconic characters of the franchise.
  21. Here's a rather funny video with Sir Ian McKellen playing with his Lego alter-ego Gandalf for the promotion of the videogame:
  22. I really love the Arkham set but it's just a little overpriced in my opinion. I know it's about 0.10 EUR a brick but still... It was an instant buy if it was 50 EUR cheaper. 180 EUR, really? I main goal to buy the arkham set is the minifigures tbh. The building does look nice but I just fear that it's my only chance of completing my rogue gallery. After the Penguin and the Scarecrow, my only rogues on my list are Ra's Al Ghul, Clayface, Mad Hatter and Killer Croc.
  23. Best Superheroes set 2013 in my opinion. Why? - 3 Nice exclusive minifigures, - good price, - a nice vehicle to add to your Batcave set, - Not too many loose elements/pieces when you want to display it.
  24. It is ridden by the pale org. 'The pale org' is a nickname for the master orc that defeated the Dwarven King and captured Moria. The guys has a grey/white scratch torso (he only wears robes at his waist) and has a pale bald head. And now little spoiler alert: Although Yazneg isn't really mentioned by name, he does appear in the movie. Spoiler alert 2
  25. Concerning the Attack of the Wargs set... That Yazneg guy doesnt ride the white warg in the movie. Small error by Lego perhaps?
