  1. I'm still disappointed that all of the Marvel sets are based on the USM series, but the Batman sets look pretty good!
  2. Actually, quite a few D2C sets end up on retail sites other than Lego. It's just a matter of time.
  3. I would imagine that some sort of book with an exclusive minifigure is a pretty good possibility. Whether it's a purely LOTR book, or if they choose to combine It with The Hobbit, remains to be seen.
  4. Hm.....I'm quite skeptical of this. Seems very early to be getting preliminary information.
  5. IMO, not getting any sets for Thor: The Dark World is probably the single biggest disappointment so far from the Superheroes line.
  6. As awesome as the sets are, one gaping hole remains: Smaug.
  7. The sets look fantastic!!! I'll definitely be buying multiples of each one (except the Laketown Chase set).
  8. Gravity -- an absolutely remarkable film. Look for this one at awards season, folks!
  9. Sounds like I'll be making multiple purchases of several sets in this wave! I'm really hoping that the new brown Wargs will look the part of the LOTR versions. I'll be army-building those things like crazy if that's the case.
  10. Toy Story of Terror premiers tonigh here in the U.S.! Check your local ABC affiliate for airtime. Can't wait!!
  11. A few thoughts on this: 1) There's a 19 year gap between ROTS and ANH, giving Rebels 5 years of 'breathing room'. That's plenty of time to establish a unique, yet similar, aesthetic as the events of the series lead into the original trilogy. Except for the Force Unleashed games and a few Han Solo and Lando Calrissian novels, the time period just before A New Hope is completely free. Should give plenty of leeway for great stories. 2) How are we to know how many days were covered by the last few seasons of The Clone Wars? At the very least, we can assume that if the war lasted about 1,095 days (3 years), then the show's 112 episodes don't come close to filling it.
  12. I was just about to post the link to the Thor poster! I'm holding out hope that Lego has plans for a set from the movie, but that hope is dwindling fast....
  13. If we are indeed getting a UCS Slave I, I would love for it to be minifigure-scale with plenty of detail on the inside. That would be fantastic!!!
  14. I also like to keep in mind the fact that the Tower of Orthanc stayed on S@H's list of 25 best sellers for well over a month after its release, which is pretty good for any set (let alone a $200 D2C set). I hope that's a sign that the theme is doing well.
  15. By my count, the set has at least 133 stickers. That's just.......no.......
  16. My wife and I caught the pilot last week as well. Good show! James Spader turns in a fantastic performance. I'm excited to see where they take the series.
  17. Very excited about this news! Hopefully the new sets will cover the majority of characters that the first one didn't (i.e. Rat King, Leatherhead, Casey Jones, etc.)
  18. We rarely know if certain themes will go on sale beforehand (except for the May the 4th Star Wars sale), but traditionally the offer for October is double VIP points.
  19. I wouldn't read too much into it. The Lego Star Wars specials are known to take a lot of creative liberties.
  20. ^ It's actually Hank Pym. And the speculation about Tony Stark being responsible for the creation of Ultron is far from confirmed...
  21. Too many Ultimate Spider-Man sets, not enough Marvel Cinematic Universe sets. I was also holding out hope for an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set.
  22. I hope we hear word on new Superhero sets soon. It's been oddly quiet lately...
  23. ^ I agree. If the second Hobbit wave only has four sets, that doesn't bode too well for the third wave.
  24. I'm beginning to get worried that we'll even see Smaug at all if we only get 4 sets.
