  1. Interesting rumor list! I was hoping for some more playset-style sets, but that unfortunately doesn't look to be the case. Here's hoping to more OT sets next summer!
  2. I would love to see sets based on classic Disney animation. Aladdin, Jungle Book, Cinderella, Pocahontas.....the list goes on and on.
  3. I'm actually looking forward to Frozen a lot -- the release date is fast approaching! And like just2good, I can't wait for Inside Out. It sounds like a real winner for Pixar. There's some good stuff coming down the pipeline from Pixar in the next few years.
  4. Where in my quote did I say that Williams scoring Star Wars is bad news...? I was simply alluding to the fact that announcements regarding a film's composer normally don't come about until much later on in production. It seems odd that Disney is keeping everyone on edge about casting, particularly since each of the Big 3 have essentially confirmed their involvement at one point or another.
  5. I highly doubt that, at least for the lowest-priced set. $20 and under sets are big movers for Lego, so they'll want them to be widely available.
  6. The local comic book shop is a good place to start. I'm planning on calling mine, and seeing if they can hold one of each issue for me.
  7. Lego won't have an official presence at D23, so that seems very unlikely. But we can always hope for a reveal of Thor: The Dark World sets!
  8. ^ I completely agree with your list, Zylek. Those sets pretty much represent my most wanted list for LOTR as well; the only other ones I would deem as essential are Balrog and Treebeard sets.
  9. Be patient; just like the Minecraft set, Lego will eventually produce more in order to fill demand.
  10. Gotta agree with you, Darth Caedus. At what point is Lego drawing the line when it comes to licensed themes?
  11. So excited (and relieved) to see that the clone lieutenant will be more widely available! The fantastic looking mini VW van is just the icing on the cake. Looks like I'll be placing several orders next month. :-)
  12. I'm not quite sure what you're asking...though I'm guessing that you're talking about the (cancelled) 3D re-releases. In that case, we really don't know if we'll see ANH sets next year. The reason we're getting Episide III sets is because they were probably already designed when word came down about the cancelations. Time will tell if the same holds true for any Episide IV sets.
  13. I received a shipping notice for my S@H order. My two DeLoreans should arrive on Wednesday!
  14. Yes, I agree. Patience will pay off in just a few short weeks. In the meantime, we can speculate all we want in the Future Star Wars Sets thread.
  15. I like to think that the designers would put a little more effort into Smaug than the Ninjago dragons, but I do think that type of build would be the best way to go. A molded Smaug would probably be Lego's largest molded creature to date, which IMO strays too far from "building toy" into "normal plastic toy" territory.
  16. I agree, Fives. A slightly scaled-down, but still brick built, version of Smaug is probably the best way to go. If it were a $120-range set, we could still get a very good sized dragon and still have room left for a small section of the Erebor treasure room and/or Dale.
  17. ^ I completely agree. A new Dagobah set is long overdue (and since there was one rumored a little while back, I wouldn't be surprised if we see one next year).
  18. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to have two forest-heavy sets released so close together (particularly in the Star Wars theme), but I suppose it is possible. There's also the chance that the prototype set seen on the designer shelves is an early version of the Ewok Village.
  19. ^ I loved The Wolverine! I've been on a Marvel kick lately, and just watched The Incredible Hulk tonight. I hope Marvel is planning on another Hulk movie for Phase 3.
  20. Saw The Wolverine over the weekend!! I'd place it as my third favorite X-Men film, behind First Class and X2. Very well done, though, and made me wish we had some more X-Men sets.
  21. No, the cutouts have nothing whatsoever to do with Lego. They are simply large versions of the "Star Tots" given away at the Celebration Europe collecting panels: http://www.starwarscelebration.eu/Whats-Happening/Events-A-H/Collectibles--Collecting/
  22. Were there members of the Lego Star Wars team at said panel? If not, I don't know how they could know what's coming.
  23. I completely agree with Faefrost!! I just got back from seeing the film, and was thoroughly impressed. And yes, whatever you do, stay midway through the credits!
  24. John Williams scoring Episode VII is fantastic news, indeed. I'm a little disappointed that we still haven't heard official casting confirmation yet, however.
  25. Actually, the original dates for the 3D re-releases (at least in the U.S.) were September 20 for Attack of the Clones, and October 4 for Revenge of the Sith.
