[MOD] 3D Printed wheels for old 12v trains
Pdaitabird replied to Paperinik77pk's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Your wheels look excellent! I have noticed when printing cylindrical parts at my job, there is often a "seam" where the print head starts and ends each layer. Did you experience this problem? -
One thing that I've always found uninteresting about the Lego City theme is its modern-day setting. So I based my town and railway layout on my admittedly romanticized idea of a typical English seaside village in the late 19th century. It's still very much a work in progress...you'll notice some empty areas that I still need to fill with greenery. Most of the buildings are very simple, as they are built within the constraint of only using pieces that I had on hand. Thanks for looking! Soli Deo Gloria

This looks great! My favorite parts are the roundhouse and turntable.

I second this motion! -
@Fraunces Thanks! I've already introduced her in Part 2 of "Mysterious Cargo" and plan to include her in more adventures soon!

That's a fantastic little steamer. It's more detailed than most larger models!

My first pirate set was 6254 Rocky Reef. For a small set, it had some great play features! My first (and only) ship was 6291, the Armada Flagship re-release.

Nice! I may have to steal - er, borrow your technique of using tires as horse collars!

These are some very nice vignettes! The backward helmets look good for heavy cavalry!

Chuck Swindoll once said, "The difference between something good and something great is attention to detail." This is something great.

Nice micro build! The cheese slopes work well as shingles. -
Oh, ok. In that case, I'll either check with you or use a more vague title in the future. Thanks for the clarification!

Thanks - I wasn't sure how many there were!

@SteamSewnEmpire Thanks, and a good sugestion. Once the world gets back to normal, I'll probably try to find some better fabric...if I haven't taken the ship apart by then! @Mister Phes @victorycount Thank you!

That's a beautiful train - well detailed and proportioned!

Thanks all! I've now added Part 2 to the first post - as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story.

@Bodi @blackdeathgr @kurigan Thank you!

This little sloop is my second attempt at a sailing vessel. I decided to name her "Charlotte's Folly" because I cut the sails out of an old Charlotte 49ers t-shirt. Unlike my previous vessel, the sails can be furled and the tiller moves the rudder. She still uses @kurigan's hull technique, which works well for achieving a gentle curve using basic plates and tiles. She's equipped with a couple of small swivel guns amidships. Thanks for looking!
