  1. thank you for sharing this !! Im impressed!!
  2. it looks like a charger and its a good start for moc.. good job!!
  3. lol, @Omikron Do you prefer the red or blue Lego saber ??? Nomadic soul!!!
  4. @eric87 , yup!! .Victorville, California
  5. Have you seen this shareable video on youtube?? its a very good documentary about the Bugatti!!
  6. I was able to build the Lego set 8860 when i was 10 years old and i was all ready building and painting plastic models and so was many of my peers . I guess Lego would be incline to towards beginners/intro to construction and engineering. and produce larger audience. Imagine (reputation) is everything today and it was kind a embarrassing when I bought the 42075 at the local toy store and the clerk ask me if it was a gift to a boy!! No, it was for me!! Now I can see why Best Buy an electronic/appliance sells the 42075!! The store is geared for more of the mature crowd.
  7. plus I weighed many parts and I also do order from lego.com and guess what??? every order i have gotten from lego.com . the weight of all the elements are spot on perfect ... when i get parts from other sources . the elements would fall into an average weight instead of dead on!!
  8. I would think why some parts are color dependent because the density of curtain heavy colors can act like a heat sink also.. i know i will be hitting foul balls when i state this.... I think the density of dark gray acts like a heat sink and helps the light gray axles and lighter weighted color gears and axles to take advantage to lose heat from the dark gray differential housing.. thats just my theory !! and the color of legos and their weight is not documented
  9. well,if black and light blue gray are the lightest but from my experience. i have broken more light blue gray pieces then any other color.. black is lighter and even the black axles are thinner but i haven't broken any black parts .. yet!! I have also broken the dark gray axles before. That was from rock climbing my models and anything can go bad from bad design or pushing the limits. I can safley say that rocks and fire are Lego's worst enemy note: I do build my moc with the weight of the colors in mind and I do believe the color I use can make my models more durable by using heavy colors for off road out doors use vs lighter weighted colors for display only
  10. it was very small, but with the 5 l lift arm, I almost got every color and not all parts have all the colors and i only have just over 7,000 pieces to work with!!... here is a few examples of the weighted items these 2 colors black and light blue gray are the lightest weight and its about 0.015 grams difference and the heaviest dark blue gray?? or/and dark gray. I've noticed even the axles, pins lift arms, ect , ect do follow the same pattern as black is the lightest and dark gray is the heaviest. the 5 l lift arms are small and its only 0.1 grams was the difference from lightest to heaviest but with longer beams, their will be a bigger difference by using black to save weight and i noticed certain colors like red which is always in the middle weight color have special properties which explains why gears and other elements are tan black gray and red!! dark blue gray/ dark gray are the heaviest and that is why differential and other special are in dark gray only!! i have a thread explaining more on my sirslayer chassis section
  11. mixed assorted technic elements @ ebay ?? I just won a $5 dollar, 150 pieces on auction!! seriously, I did win the auction !! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-technic-mixed-lot-diff-colors-gears-arms-joints-lift-amp-hose-of-150-pieces-/282968922320?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=eMKJbSas%2FtUzxJchn4808c%2Btr6g%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  12. @letsbuild I think the AMS-2 contest has a winner all ready team!!! it will be hard to beat a dragified submarine!! dang that winner team!! .. if i only had a few hundred dollars!!!
  13. If any you guys ever weighed any of the technic elements and the same part like a 5l lift arm would weigh differently depending on the color. Black seems to be the lightest and dbg is the heaviest from my observations.. its undocumented and it does show color does have certain properties
  14. thank you @nerdsforprez !!! I agree that its cost for an Lego air tank is to much and that is a good idea and ill be using my girlfriend hemp pill bottle!!
  15. I don't know .. leather tan interior and Dk blue exterior is great but I don't like the shape..... If i was between a Lego set 8880 vs 42083 right now.. ill go get a 8880 instead !
  16. well if youre referring to the forest harvester ..... Green goes with the color of the trees!!!!!! enough said!! :)
  17. i like airplanes and i use to work as a air ramp personnel and the tug is not required for mono plane piston aircraft . I still like your setup and good job !!
  18. yeah, from my experience and you can even see some of the videos i posted on my thread that some times going reverse has more torque and even tried to do a balance model and it seems the torque can affect how straight your models goes forwards or reverse vs gear slippage that can occur!! and I even place my front differential main gear to the left or right side to counter the motors directional pull and realized that the forward or reversal direction on Legos Battery box haves different speeds on my output and its a little difference going to forward or reverse but enough to notice.. I had a dually design on the rear axles and going reversed had better traction and weight .. I just wanted to share this and I hope you had similar incidents !!
  19. @Marxpek I Knew you were the best !! You have a drive that motivate you and I understand. I will look froward to your future projects and we here at among my peers we say thank you !!!
  20. I like this set!!! its small and compact with 56mm tires and the two tone of green is awesome!!
  21. @Marxpek funny video !! and your Darwinmobile does it have any natural predators?? Good performance your model sports!!
  22. wow, a f-35??? I like it and great job!!!! cool color !! black!!!
  23. @Johnny1360 The friction less half size bushing is one of Lego Technic lightest elements, @ 0.005 grams. I seen many break and how would a bushing break unless crushed? hummmm update: never mind an u joint would be a bushing!!
