  1. Agreed lol Proper old fashioned
  2. Agreed definately this small detail makes a difference!
  3. Entertaining to watch ... Your definately not afraid to experiment with your trains!
  4. Looks great and fits well!
  5. First welcome aboard mate! Once your added to the faction PM be sure to ask any questions you have in there. Not that the other faction members arent helpful but theres a few things that are handled differently depending on the faction As far as your ship ... While its a great first start there is good room for improvement (which is not bad). From its size I would say its a large Class 1 or a small Class 2 since this is your first in game ship I recommend you licence it as your "free class 2". Just about all general game info can be found in the master index (you can find about ships there and that should help you licence her) I would wait to licence until you can be added to the PM so I can give you some SR specific pointers on Licencing Ships.
  6. I really like the superimposed images on the flags ... Thats a nice touch ... Best of luck ...
  7. so from this angle I can say I like neither ... What I mean is I like the windows to create the ladder look on the tower ... Its thinner width wise but looks stronger. I do not like the rollercoaster laying flat ... While it is wornderful snot application I just feel as if its too wide for wire hanging. I like the suggestion of just running a single tube accross. But perhaps this may change with the addition of insulators. Its just right now to me it looks too bulky. As far as the vertical track ... I really like the look of this (although not the side track supports). However I do feel that there should be signals or signage hung from these as part of a busy urban area then sparcely used elsewhere (unless signals need hung). I feel that it has the right depth with a standing vertical but too much height if a signal is not hung from it. Again this is just my personal opinion ... That and 5 bucks still wont get you a black coffee at Starbucks. However what does intrigue me the most is how you have constructed the front of your tram ... I would love to see a how to photo of it. I also enjoy the little details all over the top and sides of the tram. It takes a boring utilitarian design and maked the eye pick up on things.
  8. I love it ... Looks great. Your hazmat spill needs some response trucks ... But the coloring is spot on! Is it built in a way that is easily incorporated into a larger layout?
  9. I spy some castle building showing through ... Are the hinges for texture or fuction. Very well done the colors go together well and so do the textures. There is just enough to look at as well. Personally I would have loved to see a house frau throwing water out the second story or a supervisor shouting orders ... Just to give it more action
  10. There is a couple lengths of flex rod that does this in mine to ... Just use a different rod of same length. I like the revisions to the rear...
  11. I have seen the tracks build into the modules and I have seen them simply attached by a few jumper plates. When built-in there is tiles employed under the connection for the tracks so they can be clipped together.
  12. That sucks it looks as if it would be cool!
  13. Koalayummies recently sheared a untraditional privateers rig over in the Pirate Forum. Thats right it's a catamaran and it looks plenty ready to search out treasures! So heave to, haul your anchor, get every scrap of duck on the wind and, check this one out!
  14. Over in the Train Tech forum Terry Akuna has been sharing photos of his latest creation. He is modeling a coal facility with a rotory tipping mechanism. Be sure to check out this engineering marvel!
  15. Terry I notice you use your bricklink store in alot of your decaling ... Do you print your own? I wonder if it would be a neat touch to do two cars in different colors than lime ... As if they were built a different year and not made it to the paint shop . . . yellow or orange come to mind. Similar to the UP cars ... Some are yellow some are brown painting.
  16. @jirin this looks pretty good the windows ate well thought out reminds me of the cars from the 50s Heater in the middle of the car was but the flue was usually offset. ( this one is no longer connected hense the odd angle but it vented well to one side of center)
  17. I am quite confused as it appears she is at anchor with all the sails clued but the anchor is hauled away. Other that that mere criticism Its seriously and impressive ship ... Were there any shots of the stern?
  18. I love it ... I only wish life offered more time for me to build on the story line ... You certainly are carrying the story well though!
  19. @Khorne @Kai NRG Thats correct time is drawing to a close ... All of you have expressed interest is this still the case? Is the deadline something y'all can reasonably make?
  20. I know the frustration ... All the step by step automotive customization threads I had done through the years all hosted on photobucket ... All picture heavy ... Mine went back to early 05 lol ... All lost to time ...
  21. I could also see this dressed up as a nice CN or CP
  22. I wondered this myself watching it but what sensors are used to detect blocks and switch the sidings?
  23. Perhaps they are one of these cars?
  24. Last year there was a provision for digital ... Is that offered this year?
