Yeah, never realized they did yellow with red print before. So nice. 12V is before my time but my mom found a 12V train engine at a tag sale lot years ago. It turned out to be the one LEGO remade last year or 2020 for a GWP. It worked, but didn't have wheels. Like a year later I found some wheels at a flea market. Was thrilled... no longer worked.... grrr.... I should look into why it stopped. The train doors are one of my favorite pieces and I really wish LEGO would make both the left and the right in more colors.

I agree, such a waste of a train set. I really don't understand the point of it. They could have made the Train like the Disney one and made more a station. It's impressive just how 'meh' the set is to the point that the $80 one looks better in a weird way. Probably because of the bigger station section. It's another set with left / right red train doors. I'd like the new right train door in white. That be nice. Still hoping City does a criminal Train set like the Hidden Side set. I miss Hidden Side.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Maple replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
To me the middle floor looks like one floor with just long narrow windows. I'm not at all a Marvel fan so as long as it's good next to the other modulars, and it is, I'm happy. And don't forget to approve the new backorder delay from Target or they might cancel your order. -

I haven't built it. Mine is still on backorder from a Target pricing mistake. However I just see the set as three stories. I know it's supposed to be four, but I think it looks great for what it is. -
That is the biggest disappointment in a LEGO set since that horrible Star Wars Hoth set from awhile back. The train scale is big... okay. I rather a minifigure scale with a longer platform and more train cars. I really don't get what LEGO was thinking with this but at $500, nope, even $400 or $300. I just rather get the last train set that was $80 I believe.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

In the sand green section yes, you open the windows and smoke outside, but the third floor, those aren't really balconies. I think the set is fine being it was supposed to be $200. If it was a $250 before LEGO got greedy then I'd want it to be bigger. -

The grills are just iron work, maybe to keep pets in if the windows open. If you look at the movie building they aren't balconies. -

It looks great next to the book shop but not so great next to the hotel. I think it's the roofs being the same color and not lining up. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
No they haven't. This is a myth LEGO would like you to believe. The prices are high because LEGO realized they can. That's it. That's why there are 20 Euro sets that are $40USD and 50 Euro sets that are $80USD. The roadplates are only $2.20 on Pick a Brick, they aren't the reason for price increases or crappy school and grocery store. -
I got my LEGO Life magazine today and it's got a cool NinjaGo poster in the center showing off the new sets.

I never noticed the doors. Those doors are awesome!

I really don't care what you would like. Is it last year? Did you invent a time machine? No? I didn't think so.
-
Did I stutter? OCTOBER. I just repeat what the Youtube LEGO people say. He thinks it might get a VIP release on Oct 1st. It gives LEGO an extra month to increase the price to $120USD.
-
A very well kept secret. The rumoured release date is October 3rd.
-
I didn't realize NinjaGo have so many elements. So sure, might as well get all the snake in all the elements.
-
Since when were ice and/or electric elements?

I love the ornaments this year. They don't rely on any stickers this year. I might even get two, I really like it.

2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
The Friends Advent Calendar is yet again the best of the bunch. Love how Santa is wearing Mrs. Claus bottoms. However I'm somehow even more upset with LEGO. 25 Euro and 35 USD? Anyone who is making excuses for those differences in prices is pathetic.- 136 replies

I don't know where this idea of banning plastic toys comes from. That's just not going to happen. It's really that simple.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Maple replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm a realist. You should be too. People here are talking about how the new pieces were on the new system. They were never on the new system, they will probably never be added to the new system. -

This isn't bricks and pieces. -
Every single part of LEGO has become piss poor. The parts are in the wrong bag. Parts are missing. Quality of parts is garbage. Trans pieces are all stretched. Stickers. More stickers and ever more stickers. The pieces that are printed are worst than they have ever been. The colors of parts don't match. The printing of minifigures somehow keeps getting worse. So what does LEGO do? Increase the prices of sets 25%. This after LEGO made 2 billion dollars. Disgusting company.

I completely agree wit this, LEGO thinks otherwise. However that huge bug thing is one of the most creative things LEGO has ever designed. If you don't own the set I highly suggest you find someone who does and play with it. It's awesome. I got it for $30 in 2015 and love it. First, the 1990s are back in style, not really the 80s. However 9-10 years ago my neighbors moved, the dad had an 18 gallon box full of LEGO. He gave it to me, I asked why not give it to his children, he said they don't want old LEGO. Kids are weirdos.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Walmart.com in the USA has some City sets on sale for 20% off, including fire and police station and the school for like 18% off. However if you use codes 'paypal10' or 'wowfresh' on orders over $50 you save another $10. So that brings the fire and police stations down to $46. Also can be used on other sets (sometimes the code doesn't work on a set.) but the City ones are the ones that are already on sale. And no the bank is not on sale.
