I think the minifigures are stunning and the sets are 'meh'. However the prices are a ---- NO! Out of control.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
The designers can only design what they are told too. The higher ups at LEGO are the ones that clearly were against City having a school and grocery store. As soon as LEGO realized they can charge $70 for $40-$50 sets like then the school and grocery store were probably given the okay. -
So no new Duplo Trains this year?

I like the Friends Farm. Probably won't buy it but it's really nice, looks great for children.- 136 replies

I love the temple of Heavenly Realms, but a ton of the cost of the very expensive set will be the base I don't care about. Flower Fruit Mt is HUGE and beautiful. If you can afford it and have the space it's a fun build and awesome display.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Maple replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
People still think any of these awesome new pieces will make it to Bricks and Pieces? That's cute. -
I agree, but I wouldn't blame the designers. Maybe LEGO told the designers they wanted a certain look to the City sets. The Fire Station, Police Station, Grocery Store, and even the Passenger Train have those newer very long 1x8 (I believe) slope bricks. There is a very modern feel to LEGO City right now.

Same here. Much better than the only two figure weird promo pictures I remember and no one else seems to. Weirdly. I can see that. Now that's going to bug me forever. Same here. I feel like LEGO needed one more redo on the front. It really bigs me and looks unfinished, unrefined. You can just buy the Friends set. There was no way a $30 set to include the giraffe. -

I'm really even more annoyed that Bricks and Pieces is dead. I love the coral trash cans, have two. I'd love to have a stockpile of coral and the new puke yellow trash cans. Still, Friends is the best and us fans here have known that.- 136 replies

I love 60197. It's the one big front piece I really like! Probably my favorite City train in the last 20 years. I don't like 60051, it's really just the pointy tips look very off in LEGO. Plus the new one, super round white part, and very sharp edges above it.

Promobricks has the four listed at 60 Euro. If the other three are $70 then I think it's safe to say so the nice (overpriced) grocery store will be too. At least it's a nice overpriced set. Right? Not my thing, but it's very nice. -

Bad news. The grocery store is most likely $70. It's 60 Euro. Also 60 Euro? The overpriced school, the fire station and police station. -

Still feel slightly cheaper be better, the $70 station has spoiled me. $60 is fine. The Friends School was $60 and I got it for $38-$40. -
It's funny how no one here liked the cargo train, I like it. Then most everyone here likes the passenger train and I HATE it. The shape of the loco is just a mess.

I thought it was $70, like the overpriced school. I only saw a blurry station picture. Meh. The bus does look nice though but I wish they saved that for a bus station. I like the cargo train. It's modern and different and looks like a train. Lime green train is weird (I love lime green!), the shape of the front is too pointy for my liking. But it's different. -

Love the bath tub and overpriced grocery store with the artificial leg! Super cool. The train... yikes. I guess I'm glad LEGO added doors and no giant piece front, but the train... meh. -

Has anyone stuck together the 'old' space station, new station and moonbase together? I'm curious to how much modding needs to be done. -

Maybe we were looking at the same one! eBay is now were I buy 90% of my LEGO. All those sets listed I got for about 40-50% off because they are returns that ebay stores buy up, and free shipping. So far only the Friends Treehouse ($40) was missing pieces, four, backup head, hair, bike wheel and one other. No big deal. Just built the Moonbase I got for $75. Great $80-$90 set, horrible $120 set. I'll take 40-50% off LEGO for a messed up box. -

I almost bought the bank for $65-$68. Someone beat me too it as I was debating because I only really want the bank. However I spent a bunch of money on The GB car, moonbase, friends treehouse, Episode 9 Falcon... Cutting back for a bit as I. catch up. -

The farm is much better than I was thinking. The last one wasn't Junior / 4+ and a bit simple. The animals are of course great. The sheep you can cut the hair off. Fantastic. The egg quad thing is basic and fine. Not much to say. Shocking there is no new egg piece. Not. The veggie truck is a just phoning it in. Looks like all the other 'meh' foo trucks in City. It's not 'farmy' enough for me. The crops are also really bad. The ice cream piece should be red and used for cherry tomatoes. Grapes don't grow like that. -
What I have learned this year is LEGO fans will never be happy. Only a child can love LEGO Trains? Really? LEGO is a toy. However being a limited release set does make me sad. I've gotten the current passenger train and cargo trains for $85 and like $108USD.
