Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
kibosh replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Did anyone else pre-order through Walmart? I ordered it for XBox back in August, but I've seen nothing about me getting the Iron Patriot exclusive. Curious if anyone else got a confirmation on him. -
No Gambit, either???

That Tumblr is awesome! This is a fantastic shot. Love the flame trails! Where is that Joker from??? Wonderful scene of Stark creating Iron Man! Love it. Ohhhhhhhh... Where might I see more pics of it??? It looks great from what I can see of it!

Finally snagged the Goblin King set on sale at Target for $65. Terrible set, but could no longer resist at 35% off to get the remaining dwarfs.

May need to upgrade to the 5 now...

Wow. Very well done! Love everything about it. The base is fantastic, and that dark, cold, ominous water is perfect. And I love the tiny little peak we get on the beast itself. It allows our imaginations run wild.

You can still get this set, can you not?

Agreed. The lighting is superb and really adds to your excellent MOC.

Missing/damaged parts or minifigures in new sets
kibosh replied to Tariq j's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Odd that TLG wouldn't reseal the boxes properly. Doesn't make sense that they would break the seals, insert 2 plates, but risk more product falling out as the "open" boxes are handled. -
This is truly gorgeous. Your detailing skills are amazing. When I try making cobblestone or rocky paths, it looks like I just dumped bricks on a plate. Yours looks so... natural. You really have a great eye for this.

Love the idea, and love the way you approached it, but everything seems a little... flat. I think your models would benefit greatly with a little more three dimensional detailing on the vertical surfaces. Give everything more of an illusion of being aged. Very faithful to the movie sets though.

"Oh, I wish I knew you were into Legos. I just donated a ton of them..." Grrrrrrrr........

Nice build, but I'd really like to see pictures of that lightbox setup! ;-p

Wow is right. That is an incredible price for that set.

Wow. The nose and fuselage are incredible. I imagine gravity will be the most difficult aspect to overcome.

When did your collection reach critical mass?
kibosh replied to Arigomi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lack of space is probably the bigger issue I am facing. :-/ -
This really is excellent work. What software did you use, and what camera? You have an excellent style.

When did your collection reach critical mass?
kibosh replied to Arigomi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I define critical mass as hitting that point when you have too much LEGO, and it makes building difficult. Can't remember how many X you have, no clue where Y might be, etc. I really need to get a better handle on my collection to make building easier. -
Great idea for a diorama! And well executed. My only suggestion would be work on their poses when they are battling with the lightsabers. They look... bored. Have Luke step into his swing more. Don't have their arms just hang at their sides.

Funny. Something about this build gives it the sense of being miniland scale. Maybe it's the studs on the roofs and the amount of detail. But then you notice the minifigs, and realize it's much smaller. Makes it even more impressive to me! LOVE that truck. Just perfect.

The mix of blues really works well. Really maximizes those light blue bricks!

I don't understand. Can you elaborate on this?

Very nice! The rock work is spectacular. And i really like the use of the dark tan brick-brick and how you used the dark tan plates to carry the look further. Funny that I never noticed that a 1xX brick laid on its side on top of studs is the same height as a brick. Love LEGO geometry!

Wow! I can't believe I never saw this before. Please tell me there has been progress on this..... It looked sooooo promising. I really liked seeing your thought process when you started out. The drawings, the wireframes, etc.
