  1. Wow! Love your various techniques fo building your walls!
  2. Just picked up my B-Wing. I look at it as a huge gray parts pack. I'll build it once to see if I can pick up any tricks or techniques, then it will become custom fodder for my Millenium Falcon. I don't think the price was as much of an issue as it not being a hugely popular ship. It just isn't that interesting to want a UCS of it. Same problem with the Jedi Starfighter. Bo-ring.
  3. Just called my store, too, and while they would not confirm any discounts for tomorrow, they did confirm they have 100+ B-Wings in stock.
  4. This is phenomenal work. Love it. And those arrow slits are perfect! Those wide cheese slopes look as though they were menat to be used in this way.
  5. Snagged a Millenium Falcon for $69.99 at Meijer.
  6. Thanks so much for all the info! Very much appreciated.
  7. In-cred-ible.... Wow. That looks GREAT! Any chance of you doing a little tutorial write up for those of us who are electronically challenged??? Please?!?
  8. It is not easy to copy Derfel, but you've done a wonderful job capturing the right look. Love the little building, and the scene you've created, but the rock the house is built on seems a bit too uniform. Maybe have a bulge here and there that stick out a bit further, and taper away more gradually.
  9. Beautiful work! Fo some reason, it reminds me of how we used to use LEGO miniatures when playing Dungeons & Dragons. LOVE that dining table...
  10. Sad, but I can't remember the last movie I watched... Either that long ago, or that unmemorable...
  11. Very nice indeed. Excellent work.
  12. Ahh. So two light sources, correct? Thanks for the explanation! I am shocked the background was added in post. Totally fooled me. I assumed the skyline was cut out of black paper, and mounted to another sheet of orange or white paper and used as a backdrop.
  13. Ugh. Bummer. Just buy more! ;-P
  14. I love it! It almost looks more like a time lapsed video to me than stop motion. Great effect! Do you have a timer that took a shot every 5 seconds?
  15. So that was taken with a flash, and not a stationary light? Was it shot through an orange plastic box? I think you captured that light dusk feel perfectly.
  16. Ohhhhhh.... I like that very much! Great idea.
  17. The lighting in this shot is outstanding. Absolutely love it.
  18. Wow. I'm not usually a fan of the multi-colored roof approach, but you nailed it. That looks great.
  19. That is a beautiful building, and a magnificent model. Very well done. Love the way you handled the dome. You made the right call in your deliberations.
  20. Wow! Your cockpit and connecting corridor are fantastic. And I LOVE the way you handled the radar dish. That looks perfect.
  21. Your brother's ship is huge, and very impressive, but I much prefer the scale of yours. it makes more sense. I could proudly display yours in my office or on my mantle. I'd need a whole table for the other one!
  22. I was less than impressed with the PAB selection in Michigan today. Seems like more and more basic bricks on the wall.
  23. Truly impressive. That thing is gorgeous! love the base, too.
  24. I think I actually prefer these more than the actual sets. Well done! Great pictures, too.
  25. I was finally able to play around with some LED lighting, and here are some of my first shots from Jabba's Palace.
