  1. If anyone following this topic may be wondering if Creator will have something in store for Space come summer, there will not be unfortunately. Besides the previously leaked Pirates themed rollercoaster, the other four sets will be of a yacht, a modular pastry shop, a treehouse, and a monster truck show truck. I'm not saying they're bad sets, only that they aren't Space sets. One setting I just thought of that you didn't have listed is for a jungle based backdrop. As odd as that may sound at first, just think of James Cameron's Avatar for instance. Perhaps a Space theme with such a setting could kind of be a blend of traditional Space themes and Lego's Adventurers theme, with intergalactic explorers coming upon the ruins of a moon's ancient civilization.
  2. Thank you so much! Not only does the S17 Retro Space Hero look so much better with the Gold raygun, Killer Moth looks like nearly nothing without it. From what I've heard rumored, S18 will at least have four CMFs that aren't costumed characters, which sound pretty cool from what has been described. But other than that, the rest being costumed characters is kind of a bummer, as not only do I not care for those type of CMFs, but they feel pointless to me.
  3. I think the best chance we'll have at ever seeing a line of sets that most closely resemble the Classic Space theme would be as a subtheme of City. You see, whenever we do see the next in-house Space theme, it won't be without a conflict based storyline, something that wasn't present in any way within the Classic Space theme. So, why not have City's next space based subtheme be a moonbase set one, with payload rockets, moonrovers, and LL924/LL928 like shuttlecraft, all done in a homaged color scheme that calls back to Lego's original Classic Space line? Besides, it wouldn't be that far fetched to take the City theme that direction, given all the places various recent exploration subthemes have gone. Most likely longer than that, as Disney has yet another trilogy to be helmed by Rian Johnson in the pipeline. We are so freaking screwed.
  4. Ah well, no Space themed sets for this wave it appears. But, that yacht set is pretty solid looking, and it looks like it incorporates that 10×3 windshield part into its construction, the one that usually is utilized on Creator Expert cars. As for the other three sets besides the rollercoaster, I guess they really don't really do anything for me, but they don't necessarily look bad.
  5. The two Go-Kart sets for this wave are interesting, especially the mechanic's shop for the karts, as that is something I thought we'd never see done in any form for this theme. Also, it's interesting to see the racecourse set utilize the rollercoaster curves for the finish line arch, something that they've also done for this year's largest Speed Champions set. Then there is the resort set, which does have a "monorail" transportation system of sorts half circling the hotel. There appears to be only a single, enclosed car set upon a rollercoaster boogie that looks like it could only transport a single figure. Kind of odd if you ask me.
  6. The largest sets within the Arctic subtheme look pretty darn cool, as I find the vehicles in the sets not seeming to belong in a modest City theme, but something more like Power Miners. I know, while we could presume that these frozen finds of theirs are dead, the whole Jurassic Park like premise of this subtheme is rather sci-fi in its nature, so guess the vehicles would roughly fall into that vein. Oh, yeah, and speaking of animals, that mammoth mold does not disappoint from what I can see.
  7. Just found the entire catalog that these preliminaries have leaked from, and as for these three DC sets, I can't give much of a judgement on the two playsets given how blurry the images are. But the image of RC Batmobile's box art, on the other hand, isn't that bad. Let me just say, if it weren't for the Arkham branding on the box's lower left hand corner, I wouldn't even know that's the particular Batmobile being portrayed there. While it's hard to tell, I hope that solid red canopy turns out to be a transparent one in the final product, but I can't tell what particular canopy part it is. Does it look like the smaller X-Wing canopy to anyone? That certainly would be great!
  8. Well okay then, thanks for all the information! That's probably all I can think of to ask currently.
  9. Really? That's pretty cool, but is it a new tire mold, a new wheel mold, or both? Also, is the Batmobile presumably Black, or perhaps is it some sort of shade of dark grey, much like the vehicle in the actual game?
  10. Alright then, thanks! As for the Batmobile's design, does it really resemble the Arkham Knight one, or only vaguely?
  11. The Hulkbuster theory makes sense if you consider that there has been a rejected Ideas project proposing such a set before, much like the Helicarrier Ideas project that preceded the actual set.
  12. What particularly suggests that this set is "app controlled"? Does the preliminary artwork feature any icons or text that communicate that?
  13. Besides the two playsets, have you also seen the purportedly "app controlled" Batmobile?
  14. Besides City, what other themes have leaked catalog preliminaries that you've seen?

  16. That... is probably the most ingenious reusage I have ever seen utilized for minifigure roller skates.
  17. How about more Victorian, nineteenth century hairstyles, perhaps something like the below pictured example, for instance?
  18. Ha, by pointing to the logo on your T-shirt, perhaps that's why she thought of Batman.
  19. When Lego does return with an in-house Space theme, I guess it would be preferable if it took a classic approach and made its setting on either a moonscape or on Mars. But, in this current Star Wars dominated landscape, Lego really should try something that doesn't clash with Star Wars in similarities. So, I think that a mining based Space theme with either a underground or volcanic setting could work well, only this time it would have more helmets and canopies instead of rollbar cages like Rock Raiders had done. Give the mining vehicles a Trans-green, Red, and Black color scheme, and you've got yourselves a M-Tron homage theme there!
  20. Well, the Streamlined Moderne styling of that era was heavily associated with the projections of futurism from that time, so hence the impression.
  21. Huh, how could he think Batman when you asked about something as broad or understandable as "Space"? Perhaps by that gesture, he was more saying "that was Lego then, this is Lego now"?
  22. I've heard people suggest this before, but instead of just simply doing a typical DC Comics CMS line, how about a more specific one, based upon a particular TV show or film franchise? Specifically, I had DC animated shows such as Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and such in mind. The shows' minimalist, streamlined character designs would make for some elegant looking minifigures, with a sort of vintage quality that harkens back to pre-2000s minifigure designs. Besides, why do a normal DC Comics CMS line if many of the characters that would appear in it could potentially reappear in sets soon after? The comment you responded to was made back in 2015, a year before the release of the Web Warriors Bridge set.
  23. Hmm, I kind of like that last one, with its small cockpit mounted atop a large intake/thruster, much like a retro rocketcraft of sorts.
  24. I'm only upset that it won't be a regular "regular" series.
