  1. Great idea, and great MOC too! I like seeing something different made in Technic, there is too many cars and trucks .
  2. What about a pneumatic contest? (if it hasn't been done before) There hasn't been very may pneumatic Lego sets (and MOCs). I can't find any contests with the search at the moment... so I don't know what's been done.
  3. Yes, but still... I think we should wait for the poll (that works), so that other members can decide.
  4. It make sense - but only in an ideal world. In the real world adding gearing reduces speed AND torque, about 10% - 20% depending on the type of gears used. Like @LXF said, it's better to use motors without gearing if possible - especially when gearing up.
  5. It's only my opinion . Yes, but it still would reduce the weight a lot - which would allow for higher (and faster) gearing of the motors. And also, it needs modifying to be used - meaning it's not a purist solution.
  6. I did say pneumatics (not LAs), but I don't mind taking the credit for it . I think it's much better motorized, and that turning motion in the video is amazing!
  7. Very interesting... It's a bit like a cross between a mobile crane and an excavator.
  8. Oh... I find it really hard to build from videos , I will just take some of the ideas and make my own .
  9. Yes, I agree that one of the main rules should be "only PF"
  10. Yes, there is no difference between rubber bands. i don't think that's fair, since it will give the car a better power to weight ratio, with the built in battery. I agree, partly because some people could cheat when they make their video. That's not really a Lego solution, and anyway - it wouldn't last for very long with a 9v battery.
  11. Great idea! yet another unusual - but clever - use for Lego. The funny thing is, because it's remote control - you're still the one cooking .
  12. I have at least 8 of them - and I haven't even got them from new sets!!! And not only that, but I only have 3 old ones!
  13. It's not that bad... One question: it looks like it has a white differential - is that Lego?
  14. So that's why some of my tires are a bit slippy... especially my 42037's tires!
  15. Yes, that would need a lot of tubes! How do you know that there is going to be another pneumatic set?
  16. I know of some with linear actuators, but I don't think they could be adapted for pneumatics . I might try to make one myself...
  17. Yes, I agree that it's not the best idea - I was just wondering it they fitted...
  18. Very interesting... isn't that the same type of platform used for aircraft flight simulators? What about making it with pneumatics?
  19. Oh... I didn't know that the Claas tire was that big! Note to self: get Claas tires .
  20. Agreed, I would normaly take about 20% off just because of the gearing - which would mean about 40 km/h might be possible. I think the motorbike tires (the same ones as on the front of your car) are actually slightly bigger than the Claas tire...
  21. Nice! you made it look much better than the one in the video - there is something really cool about the giant Claas tires on a black buggy . Also, where can I download the instructions from?
  22. Great suspension! but a bit slow - it needs buggy motors , I like that it's black too!
  23. Don't know, but I don't mind small cars . (as long as they aren't extremely tiny!)
  24. Cute dump truck! And very clever, I haven't seen such an interesting use for those giant gears.
  25. Wow! 32.71 km/h!!! I didn't know that Lego could go that FAST! I was actually going to start experimenting with that... but if you have a YouTube channel, why don't you use that?
