  1. Looks great, but I think it looks a bit too wide... Also, what's with that one purple part? Good work with the instructions too, I much prefer PDF instructions - they're so much easier to use.
  2. Good review, but I personally wouldn't give it such a high rating... especially not for the design... (and yes, I do own this set... as well as many other better ones...)
  3. As I said in an earlier post...
  4. I have added the video of the second safe! Also, I have edited the video of the first safe, by adding music, and removing the text - because I though it was just stating the obvious...
  5. The way I would do it is, unfortunately, bending the white connector out of the frame and pulling it out - there should be enough slack in the axle to do it without damaging anything...
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks @Marco1213, it's good to see a new technic builder joining the forum, can't wait to see some of your builds! As for posting a your builds (MOCs), here's the basics: For any other help on the forums, check out the FAQ section, or post a comment on the HELP!!! topic.
  7. Well amazingly, I got it bidding on Ebay! I've added a photo to my post too, just because it looks good... That's a great deal, but were they new or used?
  8. As far as bargains go, I pretty happy with my latest Ebay buy - a giant bulk lot of (working) Mindstorms parts, including: 1 x RCX 1.0 brick 1 x USB tower 1 x serial tower 6 x 9v motors (71427) 6 x rotation sensors 4 x temperature sensors 3 x light sensors 8 x touch sensors 27 x 9v cables of various lengths 4 x NXT/EV3 cables (including 2 converter cables) Total Bricklink value $400+, but I got it for only $83... Just goes to show, the longer you wait, the better deal you get... And I've waited a very long time to get some rotation and temperature sensors - about 5-6 years in fact...
  9. You could just get them off Lego cables - it's a bit tricky, but I've done it many times successfully. But, if you only need them to power motors, you could just get some old 9v cables, and attach the PF converter cables to the ends.
  10. While that would make for a very fun contest, teleportation doesn't exist yet... The next safe I plan to build is a big Mindstorms one - a bit like this one. I've got too much Lego for that...
  11. They are Technic inside, and they are realistically functioning - so they would be closer to Technic than any other theme...
  12. I have been thinking of putting my safes on Eurobricks for quite a while, and I've finally got around to doing it, thanks to the interest from @Leonard Goldstein. So, starting with the smallest... 1. Micro Combination safe Size: 4 x 6 x 6 1/3 studs. Instructions: No. Digital Model: Yes, for LDD. Video: Yes, see below. Photos: Video: 2. Mini Lock with key Size: 6 x 6 x 2 2/3 studs (not including shackle). Instructions: Yes, available on Rebrickable. Digital Model: Yes, for LDD, LDraw, and Stud.io. Video: Yes, see below. Photos: Video: 3. Mini Combination safe Size: 6 x 8 x 7 2/3 studs. Instructions: Yes, available on Rebrickable. Digital Model: Yes, for LDraw. Video: Yes, see below. Photos: Video: 4. Big Combination safe Size: 8 x 16 x 9 2/3 studs. Instructions: No. Digital Model: Yes, for LDD. Video: No Photos: That's all I've got for now, though I do plan to make some more (bigger/better) safes and (better) locks in the future...
  13. Yes! Rube Goldberg machines are one of my favorite mechanical constructions - they're so complex and amazing, yet at the same time, completely pointless!
  14. Supersize Christmas tree: I know, it's not much of an effort, but it really would be my ideal Christmas tree: It's perfectly smooth (which means it doesn't need any decorations), it doesn't need looking after (because it's Lego), and of course, it can be taken apart and reassembled next year!
  15. There were a few cars built in the last contest, so why not have a contest to build any type of car?
  16. That would be too similar to the last contest - we need something different... Unless it actually was a Whacky contest - Build a vehicle with a giant hammer! That was my other idea for a contest - Build a Mindstorms robot! There can even be separate categories - for each of the three generations of Mindstorms. (RCX, NXT, and EV3)
  17. Christmas trees aren't normally my thing, but building anything is always fun - so why not! I better get started, it's going to be hard to use more than 2 parts...
  18. You need to put it inside a loop with a time limit, like this:
  19. Hmm... I can't decide if it looks ugly, or amazing! - I guess both...
  20. Well there is a turntable with a similar shape to one of those parts:
  21. No worries, it's only because I have one that I knew what they were! I have added some images to my post above.
  22. I like the idea of a pullback motor contest, but I think the rules suggested above are too strict. Here's what I would suggest: Pullback Motor contest - make a MOC powered by pullback motors! No size limit. Can be any type of vehicle. No other power sources allowed. (pneumatic, electronic, manually powered) Only original Lego pullback motors - no rubber bands or springs.
  23. I have between 20-30 pullback motors of various types, including 2 of the newest type. And yeah, the polls still haven't fixed, but hopefully that's what @Jim will be doing now the contest has finished...
