  1. I just familiarize myself by researching cars in my free time. B.o.t.
  2. You linked the prototype page, they made the LM002 for production, back on topic though.
  3. Same for me, I don't have a large enough collection for that! That is annoying, they should have sent it. Are you somewhere not near a lego factory? So they haven't shipped it? What sets did you buy? 8043? Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow. Or, because of the motors, lbg, and dbg, make a song from that!
  4. Not sure after that, I always gear down mine after I found it does 80° on a turning circle. I use a 16:20 ratio, but you will need a 2:1 ratio probably.
  5. I had a similar idea, I am building a le mans prototype for that day too.
  6. Just a question, the race is this weekend.
  7. Who is watching the 24 hours of le mans this year? If you are, are you watching from home, or watching from the track?
  8. Something to add, should I make a power functions version? I could leave the gearbox and add a motorized gearswitch, driving, steering, and another function tbd.
  9. I like the buggy motor launcher and catcher, they look awesome!
  10. Nice, I will take a few pics of mine sometime.
  11. Yes, they go about 2-3 months then they need new batteries. Just try that, and if that doesn't work you can worry.
  12. That may help, but someone could mistake them for actual spoilers.
  13. Yes, 1:10th of the 3,370,000 dollars you pay to get the keys to one, and his Hennessey was faster (bias alert).
  14. This works great for me and I use it frequently in my builds.
  15. I use to make printed parts using a sharpie too, it was like the cars were really race cars.
  16. I noticed that with your sinner supercar, that is the style I like. It gives a feeling of raw, light car.
  17. That is a ton! I have only about 2500 spare parts!
  18. This reminds me when I used to build prototype cars like this, with 4wd.
  19. That is my main thing that I try to cover the body a little, but not enough to hide functions. It gives a better sense of pride to make a complete body for others. Sad, the Indy 500 was may 29th, and that was a race!
  20. I did reply, because it is relevant to the conversation, it should go in the hof. And I completely agree with the paneling issue, so many cars are being covered up fully does not show what is happening underneath (the Porsche problem) to the point they are model cars. This is good for some builders to test body styles of connections, but not everyone can do it. I may be watching too, I watch Formula E and IndyCar on the weekends I am not doing other things. Do you watch IndyCar @LXF?
  21. Sorry I missed updating, I finished the car, but a few tweaks to make. What it has now: Technical: 1. Steering, hog + interior. 2. Suspension, double wishbone. 3. Engine, working flat 6. 4. Gearbox, 2 speed+ park gearbox. 5. Reclining seats, using Mini linear actuator. Aesthetic: 1. Doors, scissor. 2. Roof, Targa with storage area. 3. Frunk, opens using a pin lock. 4. Rear wing, adjustable. 5. Rear engine cover, foldable. adjustable seats. wing adjusts. rear cover foldable. 2nd favorite shot. size shot. roof. and the panel. storage area. i like the body, but i need more flexes.
  22. Very nice, how many overall parts do you think?
