  1. I am still trying ideas, it will pull through.
  2. I am still on the fence because I don't have any long springs. I am trying though.
  3. My mod would be adding spiked treads, I made a version with those and it was very good at crawling.
  4. I think you are correct for building how you want, I am constantly told that what I do is wrong on this site. I have been for the way I post is wrong, the building style I use. I just keep working the same way no matter what. I think you should keep doing what you do. @Jeroen Ottens was a lego designer at a time so he has a different preference than you.
  5. UPDATE: the car is still in the chassis prototype stage with two l motor drive. still not sure which motor to use, XL or L motor? the bodywork is being sketched and figured out. i am considering a gearbox with sequential system, and or 4wd. what do you think? i could make a rc variation of @Didumos69's gearbox with a m motor shift. all the ideas are being worked on but i am still trying to make as compact as possible.
  6. I don't think of affects the price much, the of would cost 50$ to get, so 20% of the cost is of and the rest is the parts like the wheels, linear actuators, panels, ect. The 8043 is not a good comparison because it is older and smaller.
  7. Sorry for bumping, has anyone built this model? I wasn't sure if all the work was appreciated. I would like to know because I wanted to know if it was good as a model.
  8. Try this, it has instructions but I am not sure it is needed.
  9. Good job marx! I think the m motor should be geared up a bit, but that is my opinion.
  10. @Jim where are their pro badges? Great car but I agree with @Meyers lego technic, the front is a bit flat.
  11. That sounds like a challenge, if it was a supercar competition I would lose to both of you. I think I've my collection isn't enough to make a proper supercar.
  12. That is a future project, I have the supercar and my ams1 car on my plate. Thanks, It is fast enough to be fun to drive, though it is not geared up. It is geared down through a diff so it wasn't complex. I now have two l motors so I could hard couple and do a 2:1 ratio.
  13. Great vehicle and video, it you could make a different body of a lego set you could enter AMS 1, not trying to hijack, just informing you. just noticed this is my 500th post!!
  14. The car is actually apart right now if you think that I don't make a new chassis. A new one is in progress. Edit: the test car took me 4 and a half hours.
  15. I was very disappointed when they cancelled the project, I have wanted to build one but never did. Maybe that will change......
  16. @Jeroen Ottens Sounds like that was a tough fight, those studs I find useful sometimes. I didn't know you were a lego designer, though your builds make it seem like you still do. The last bit makes me laugh: "oh, and btw we painted, cut and glued lot of pieces during development . Did you design the power puller?
  17. @Sariel and @Meatman unless you have proof from lego I don't think this worth fighting about. do you know a lego person who knows?
  18. 9394,42000,42039,42054, and a few bought part lots.
  19. Ok, I I will see what car I can make with my parts. The inside might not be the same, but the bodywork can. What about this?
  20. One of my ideas is windshield wipers I have made for it, and the rear wing is going to be a air brake. I prefer manual doors but I will a rubber bands for spring load. I definitely expect A month or 2 before a good prototype. I have been building some of these prototypes way before I joined here. The structure will definitely be improved. I may change the front when I rebuild it. The doors are there to see about how the car would look.
