  1. If you would add a 3rd catch below catch2 (into the 'back' of the RWD 16T gearbox gear) and make catch 2&3 move simultaneously, I think that will solve it.
  2. Maybe I do not see it correctly, but when you engage 4wd-mode, you will lose the drive from/to the V6 engine/gearbox...?! Because on RotaryCatch1 nothing is engaged...
  3. You could add some manual weaponry around the truck, heaving shooters operatief with RC is a bit far-fetched anyways... Good looking build, looks smooth but with the right edginess here and there
  4. There was another post about this stuff some time ago, with a link to an extensive video-review from JangBricks YT-channel. Might be useful for you:
  5. platform lift trucks, any model (truck, plane, helicopter, boat etc.) with large/heavy opening hatches or ramps (car transporter anyone? missed opportunity there...)
  6. You could try the 3x7 curved panel at the bottom and put some connectors to the side to mount the lightbar/bumper and 'fill it up' to 11-wide. Dunno if it would fit with the underside of the model though. BTW, good to see you back, hope you're doing well .
  7. Well, since the cylinder engine parts in LEGO did not include any reference to/resemblance of the spark/combustion part of a combustion engine, I fear that an electric motor will be nothing more than some brick built unit (similar to 42056 exhaust mufflers)without any moving or lighting parts at all... Hmmm... thinking of this: electric motor = no gearbox needed... so than only suspension is left as car 'function' for future electric cars in Technic... and what part of the UCS cars is the biggest source for complaints...: yes, suspension.... Let's hope TLG sticks to combustion engine models for a good while...
  8. The return of Fiber Optics... Don't see it happening, although something like this would definitely enhance the play value. Maybe they can do a blue version of the light brick (this or this) and hook the trigger up to the rotation of the wheels so it blinks at an interval relative to the wheels rotation speed? Barcode Multi-Set had a similar feature in the garbage truck where it would play an engine sound at three increasing speed rates relative to the vehicle speed...
  9. @imurvai Hi István, today I finally got me a USB OTG cable so I hooked up my PS3 Dualshock controller to my phone (I do not want to root my employers phone, so I went for a wired setup). All works fine except for 1 button (= PS3 controller issue, not an app issue), but when I disconnect the controller from cable/phone before closing the app, the app crashes (instead of giving a notification 'controller connection lost' or something like that). It is not a big issue and no harm is done anywhere, but I just thought I'd let you know. BC app version is 2.6 Phone is Samsung S7 (G930-F) Android version 8.0.0 If you need more info, let me know. I can reproduce the issue.
  10. Please have TLG create this with existing panels as much as possible. I'd rather see some extravagant assemblies trying to come close to the real thing like in the Chiron front end, than getting me a model kit with exactly copied shapes with otherwise useless parts. See also my signature text...
  11. Technically it would not add that much, just a big cylinder (=rotor) rotating inside a tube (=stator). Not as fancy as crankshaft with moving pistons. But it would free up space inside models for other technical stuff when there is no engine block in the way. And it would set a precedence for LEGO buyers/builders: the future is here, not just as an expensive car for business lease drivers, but also in your own little toys!
  12. +1 To be honest, I'm a bit surprised we haven't seen it yet...
  13. Seeing the emerging trend of licensed motorbikes, and the slow but steady electrification of the automotive industry, how about this as next motorbike set? Recognizable, cool looking yet very innovative and futuristic: Ideal for Technic, right? I love that hubless rear wheel...
  14. When it started with the locomotive and tender I was like: fun stuff, nicely put together, lucky kid. But now with the crane cart... that is a whole new level of engineering! Very clever, compact yet impressive crane, and all the better that you made it compatible with the DUPLO 'standard'. Great stuff so far, would love to see now what else you can come up with. It's a really unique concept you have going here! By the way, my kids have their DUPLO train track built in the room next to mine, I might give your locomotive a try sometime soon and run it a few laps around the track, just to see the looks on their faces
  15. Seeing that we know get the second licensed motorbike in a row after the BMW from 2017, and the average cycle for motorbikes in this scale is 2 or 3 years, it might very well become a regular thing to have licensed bikes from now on. It wouldn't be a true ultimate (TLG probably won't do gearboxes and stuff) but IMHO a good thing nonetheless.
  16. Looking at the pictures in this article, the body shapes of this bike are so intricate and specific, that I wonder (fear...) if it will be solved by new specialized parts. I can't imagine (but love to be surprised though) that LEGO would be able to copy all the shapes with the current parts pallet. Hopefully Ducati will allow a more abstract level of shape replication, like Volvo does.
  17. Wow, this looks promising... Going by the scale of the bonnet/nose compared to the wheels and front window, the engine must be some kind of airplane engine or something equally large. It definitely looks impressive!
  18. This thing looks so awkward and realistic at the same time... And when it flies down that snow slope outside.... wow Very well thought-out and minimalistic engineering. As a purist, I would not use 3rd party RC components myself, but thiswould not be possible with the bulky heavy LEGO PF components. Cool creation!
  19. Progress is slow but steady (and again proves a lot more work than I estimated upfront. I should really re-calibrate my expectations ): As I go along creating all the sub-steps and call-outs, some minor changes are made to individual parts or part colors. Therefore, I can only guarantee the final parts list once the instructions are done.
  20. - Small LA - V1 pneumatic actuators small + medium - V2 pneumatic actuators small + medium + large (Or maybe someone already did the pneumatics comparison, could very well be as they are around for years now...)
  21. Hi, this truck is looking good! It's a real beast As for the pictures, I suggest you use a file sharing site, for example brickshelf, bricksafe or Flickr, to upload your photo's. Then deeplink them into your post on Eurobricks. You can deeplink as many pictures in a single post as you want. Be sure to only link (resized) images smaller than 1024*768 (800*600 will usually do), otherwise admin will remove them because of size... Take a look here to get some more tips.
  22. In essence: slack in the gearbox/drive train due to too many gears. I don't exactly know how new parts could help, unless we would be getting a complete set of gearbox specific gears (which I don't see happening), but the fact that you have to push the Chiron about 1 meter forward/backward before the engine/pistons starts moving is also a bit problematic IMHO. Not a big issue, but the sequential shifter units are quite bulky in both the Porsche and the Chiron, and they are currently constructed such a way that the steering wheel sits exactly vertical. Wouldn't require new parts to fix though, plenty MOCs available already. Other than that, I think you summed it up nicely. Don't think it'll happen, not on a static display car at least. Maybe in the future for some RC models, but engine breaking is working fine as it is... LEGO shouldn't go the Tamiya way IMHO...
  23. You could even make the front edges above the headlights yellow by using 2L oo beam instead of o+ beam and 2x halfbush instead of 1L beam. Looks cool IMHO And use the new yellow #21 and #22 panels on the rear sides (also in 42114)
  24. I think this is the most iconic/recognizable car from the movie range, and it would fit best with the alleged 'classic black square-ish car' claim posted in the general 2020 set discussion thread.
