  1. +1 for yellow. Like in that picture, not only with black bumpers/fenders but also black roof and rear window part. But... your hood will then not be possible like this as the mini-panels (#21/22) are not yet available in yellow (they come in 2020 2h with Volvo dumptruck)...
  2. Nice, I'm happy I was able to help. Instructions looking very good! I have over 98% of the parts already, so I'll give this a go sometime
  3. Looks to me like there is no steering wheel at all in the pictures, and what you see is two paddle shifters... reason to believe this is a WIP version from TLG, not the final product. This feeling is strengthened for me by the way the rear wheelarch panels seem to mis-allign with the section behind, the fact that there are no Lambo-wheels, and all sorts of other little unfinished looking bits all around (like headlights, roof). Let's hope TLG kicks back with a good (better) model of their own.
  4. This came together very well! It looks like the perfect mix between city-EV (body shape) and offroader (ride height, stance). I love how you did the rear lights, those transred bent liftarms are used way too little in MOCs (I have a MOC in WIP which also uses them btw). All in all, great little MOC
  5. I notice some of the posts in the entry topic are missing a proper chassis pic (following your quoted guideline). Now I know and understand that you will be lenient in this particular contest, but how is the explicit statement above going to affect the entries not having it? I do not aim to be mini-modding, just trying to clarify this deviation I see happening. Shout-out to everyone: put a proper chassis pic in your entry post, as Jim says above! Enough time left to update your entry posts before contest closing date.
  6. It took awhile, sorry for that, but here is the file (link to Bricksafe). It is a raw file, no stepping etc. There are a few submodels inside, for the roof and convertible windscreen, and some flex-hoses/flex-axles. But all the parts for the suspension are in the main 'bulk' file.
  7. That is just weirdly identical, in a cool way! At least your son is building WAAY more parts-efficient than me Disclaimer: I have never met Didumos69 or his son! I aim to create full instructions for it. However, I do not use LDD, I only build in LDCad, which uses .ldr/.mpd format. I can share the current .ldr file if you like.
  8. Hi @Jim or any other staff, can you add me to the RA? Thanx!
  9. The top of the fueltank is made of this: After the Top Gear car it is only the second set having this piece in red (both 2020 sets). Nice seeing a recolor in more than 1 set, very welcome in red.
  10. Looks like a ninjago katana blade, my kids got loads of 'em...
  11. @_artemshulgin_ please read this post about picture sharing from Eurobricks general guidelines: No one is attacking you, just trying to help
  12. Yeah, it's a pretty bold design. The figures were almost an afterthought, I almost forgot I even had those... I'll finish Dirt at a later point and present it in it's own thread then. It's only a bodyshell with two axles now, nothing connected...
  13. @agrof you got it almost correct, I used axle 3l with stop+stud instead of pin+axle. It's a little less stressed this way (axle is tiny bit thinner than pin, also the axle is put only about 90% inside the #5 connector so the stop ring only slightly touches the engine blocks) : @Thirdwigg see above EDIT: using 2x instead of might be even better (less stress)
  14. @ThirdwiggI'll post a picture of my solution in a few hours, for me it's dinnertime with the kids now
  15. A steering system by @Didumos69 that is not formlocked but relies on friction...? These are strange times indeed... Jokes aside, it looks cool, I'm curious to see how it ends up
  16. Thanx for the instructions, I will build this beauty within the next few days (maybe even a couple of them in different colors...). I'll show you the results later. EDIT: I couldn't wait... built it with 14mm-wide front tires and made some small changes due to lack of parts/colors, and it looks fantastic:
  17. Playing around a bit in my room to create a setup that will get me some reasonably good entry pictures: This is what I got out of it, pretty good for a Samsung S7 phone camera I think: I will be creating my entry post soon now.
  18. Those lamps are beautiful Good luck with your transition, I hope to see a pic of your setup completed one day...
  19. Nice solution! Do I see correctly that you are using 'old' dark grey 6l links so you can clamp two of them on a single pin (using the 'closed' side of the connector hole)? Smart thinking!
  20. Let's return to the Trabant, shall we please? @Go-Kart I like the fact that you go outside the box for technical implementations, innovative thinking. Keep it up!
  21. Maybe for another build... I prefer the sleek closed body it has now. Scalewise this car is more in the league of fullsized supercars instead of lightweight sportscars, and those are closed also. Since the chassis picture is mandatory this time, it will be highlighted anyways... KTM X-bow was one of the cars that initially inspired me for this build actually, but it grew into a slightly bigger class along the way. Btw, thanx for the compliments
  22. On @Erik Leppen's suggestion, I lowered the sidemirrors 1 stud and it does look smoother. The black connector is not distracting too much imho. Thanx Erik!
  23. It sure has 'killer' looks, nice sketch! It's like a mix of pullback series and 42093 scale cars, could easily be an official 1H-wave model. Not sure if it is TC18 material though, no offence, but might be a bit too light for that (as you already mentioned). Still, cool build. Makes me want to build a hotrod myself now...
  24. Thanx! Take all the inspiration you need, that's what a community is for, right? Thanx for all the praise Erik! Actually the exterior came together rather quickly, as it's made up mostly of the 2 large and 4 smaller mudguard panels. The rest was just filling in the gaps. It wasn't really meant to be that futuristic from the beginning, but it works for me . Fitting the diff in the rear was my biggest achievement, and although the suspension is not super strong, it's working well enough. I see what you mean about the mirrors, I'll see if I can lower them a little without compromising any of the look (I want to keep them orange, and I'd rather not have visible blue axle-pins in there...)
  25. I am in the blessed position of having a dedicated Lego/home-office room for myself. My two boys (7&5 y/o) love Lego as well and have accumulated a pretty fine collection for themselves already. But having them 'test' my models and play with it gives a better feeling than building them. As long as you're having fun and if you're even able to share that fun, you will be happy and whatever you have will be enough. That's what a hobby (and life?) is about as far as I'm concerned. Those last two pics say it all. Enough philosophical ranting, back to competition modus now I guess...
