  1. This is beyond amazing. It looks like you are pumping a glue through Lego pneumatic hoses to seal it together; how to you pump it? How do you prevent it clogging up the tubes?
  2. Pretty cool! Have you considered attatching a pen, and drawing the graphs on a large sheet of paper?
  3. More wishful thinking, but perhaps these 'wagon packs' could be one extra coach pack to match the current passenger train, and one extra freight wagon pack to match the cargo train, both with extra straight track. The coach pack would feature another 'standard' middle coach, and a baggage car or double-decker panoramic-view car, and the freight pack would include two or three wagons similar to those in the matching cargo set. I have no idea how well these would sell; if they look good with the set they're intended to go with, and could entice people into buying several copies of each to form longer trains, perhaps they would be successful.
  4. This model has got an excellent run-down look to it, especially enhanced by the use of mis-matched parts and older, 'weathered' bricks. Definitely feels like its about to disintegrate (that's a good thing in this moc). Out of interest, how fragile actually is it? Does it fall apart when you pick it up? All the loose parts could make moving it interesting. Also, are the stickers custom or from sets? I can't tell with some of them.
  5. The thing that makes this stand out is definitely all the small items - the work put into the stickers for the chemical cans is amazing, and I love the blue and orang miscellaneous parts trays near the counter. I feel this needs a small forklift or pallet jack and worker to finish it off, as well as a few more concrete support details for the building, as mikeright suggested above.
  6. That looks cool already, I can't wait to see someone integrate this with a fully scenic layout. I think that would be beyond awesome.
  7. Does what it says on the tin - I like it. It's kind of cute. How about adding some hydraulic detail to the arm?
  8. Yes, I hadn't spotted the bush until you mentioned it - there's a neat speed camera build over there too. And those spikes look suspiciously similar to those in 70808 Super Cycle Chase... not that I'm complaining. They look good and add a 'play feature' to such a small polybag.
  9. All of mine are still 3-dimensional (i.e. not flattened), and stored inside each other with a load of other boxes in the loft and various drawers. Some boxes are used for storing parts like my train tracks.
  10. Pretty good! I've experimented with similar things on a more temporary basis, and found a good plan is to flatten out the wires and feed them under the base plates - that way they're out of the way visually. However, this limits lights to be positioned at plate joins, and makes access harder. My 'layout' is only 96x80 studs, so I only had one signal and no problem... How are you controlling these? Computer or manual switches? I think the latter would feel more involved, but that's my opinion. And many 'green' LEDs will have a yellowish colour.
  11. The wow factor for me in this excellent moc is the colour scheme - not unusual, but a beautiful combination. Good job with the brake gear (if that's what it is) on the underside too.
  12. As mentioned over in Train Tech, the freight terminal set may be a good companion for 60052. Annoyingly, however, it's 6x10 containers are not compatible with the older cargo train 7939 (which had 6x12), but they are the same size as the older ones from 7992 crane and 7994 harbour! Less kids are going to have these older sets, and anyone who owns 7939 are likely to be frustrated by the lack of compatibility. But it is an excellent set, with 2 ways of loading cargo on the truck, and some good representative structures as well.
  13. No, but compatible with 7994 and 7992, even down to the underside connections. Unfortunately, 7939 had 6x12 and 6x24 containers, and then there's Maersk with 6x16. I wish Lego had stayed constant with container lengths. Perhaps the next cargo train set will feature this 6x10 as well, to continue some form of compatibility.
  14. I guess that's happened because the steering wheel is 1 bar thick, and LDD knows that standard bars can be inserted into axle holes (but not pin holes), and so it sees no reason why the two should not combine. It's probably also to do with the way LDD models the curve of the wheel.
  15. These are simply gorgeous... especially the MK1 coach. I can't help but imagine it in a lengthy main-line train behind the Flying Scotsman, just a very expensive one! How are the narrower windows held in? Are those 1x2 grill plates at the base of each one? The 'Annie and Clarabelle' (Thomas the Tank Engine) coaches look like they could be turned into a GWR B-set quite easily too, again part colours and availability notwithstanding.
  16. I also experience this phenomenon; when a page number or 'next' is pressed, instead of the requested page the same page reloads, but behind a light grey 'veil' and uninteracterble. However, this only happens to me in this forum; Train Tech, Town forums etc. all work perfectly.
  17. I like this pattern - to me, it seems easier to understand than the 1x1 technic liftarms, since all of the colours are easily distinguishable.
  18. Wow! That's an impressive, and very amusing, module! I get a little seasick just looking at it! Clever loading mechanism too. Could you add extra items that bob up and down out of phase with the submarine, such as fishes, on separate arms? And perhaps extend the 'water' further under the sub, with seafloor details, to make it really look alive.
  19. That's a cool and unusual mod of the set! Which technic pins are you using for the door lock? If the full 2m long ones are used, I don't think you will be able to open it at all without dismantling the door entirely, or is that the point? Also, if the doors open like that, how it the track on board supposed to join up to the track on land? Would the doors open and then the ferry dock? I know some train ferries used drawbridge-like contraptions at the harbour to allow loading and unloading. However, these were only ever used for wagons, locomotives being deemed too heavy for the boat and link. I feel I have been too critical now! Sorry!
  20. That's an inventive use of the other parts in this set; I was expecting it all to be the same, original colour, but the dark green breaks it up nicely. The overhanging balcony and side-entrance door are nice unusual features, too. Did you manage to do it without any extra parts (except for the different base plates)?
  21. The outdoor area is excellent! I'm not so sure about the arch windows on the right, however. I think it's due to the larger panes of glass; if the smaller window style was carried across, I think it would look better. But, of course, it's your MOC - do what you like with it!
  22. Do you think there would be space to put Power Functions in it? Maybe by using the 9v battery box in yellow? Or are you going to run it with a 9v train motor? Either way, it's a lovely locomotive. Good job!
  23. I'm not a virus! (or at least I don't think I am!) I'm sorry, but I can't tell if this is supposed to be a joke or not.
  24. I know that, but it only came up with the message 'do you want to open or save this file', and I clicked cancel. And my computer still exists, because I am typing on it now!
  25. I missed this the first time round, but this model is a beauty of a beast! It's got a rugged look, yet features small details. All the functions seem to work well, too. Good job!
