  1. That is ingenious. Kind of like a dynamometer for Lego trains. The video of it in action is great.
  2. Beautiful! And I don't mean to detract from this one but thanks for sharing your previous lighthouse for those who haven't seen it as it is also gorgeous.
  3. Yeah agree it would probably be more along the lines of 'Johnny Thunder', explorers, archeologists or adventurers. Though Johnny packed heat in search of treasure.
  4. I sit on floor (carpet) legs bent ('tailor/Indian/Turkish style') surrounded by a semi-circle of bricks/boxes. Probably not good being hunched over for extended periods but old habits die hard and I have a serious lack of tables and seating in my residence.
  5. Your tram is beautiful and very realistic to the original inspiration. Amazing, and it looks perfect in front of the Parisian Restaurant. Cozy tram ride to dinner.
  6. Thanks Calabar. I read through the rules and honored the post format. Had some trouble with the image and an annoying outline but should be good now.
  7. 60150 Pizza Van Theme: City LXF File - LDD 4.3.10 Brick Version 2248 Errors: No stickers Missing printed decorations on: slice of pizza, oven control below transparent green tile, soda can lid, minifigures
  8. I was thinking about doing the Pizza Van later today but luckily came here to check first if it was reserved. If you no longer want to rebuild it I would love the opportunity to contribute. Stinks that it didn't save, I've had that misfortune on my own projects and its quite frustrating.
  9. You do some awesome train building. Had a look through your flickr, can't get enough of your Amtrak and GECX.
  10. Someone really loves busses! Very detailed and remarkably realistic looking. Keep it up.
  11. Fantastic work, this has been going on for a while and the effort, time and accuracy is incredible. Would love to be able to build some of buildings and things from Bricksburg some day.
  12. Sweet video, very nostalgic. Imperial Trading Post was one of my favorite sets as a kid and I still think its one of Lego's best sets ever. Also miss the Forbidden Island style multi-colored baseplates. Really miss the classic Pirates.
  13. Haha your ideas never end, this is fantastic. Though still sad about the shuttle programs demise at least there are some potential new uses for it.
  14. So in reality posting in here is not needed.
  15. Jewel thief turn left! Or right!
  16. A plate for the bottom might help in realism as well as the tower is offset from the outer portions of the building, its connected but more in the center and that may also help. I agree with JGW3000 some profile bricks or plates may help as well. As a municipal building it is simply massive so it may not hurt to go up just a tad in scale. Philadelphia City Hall is my favorite building in the world and I love any attempt to build it with Lego so its a good start. Minifigure-scale would be insane.
  17. Thanks again Aanchir! You have been very helpful and it is much appreciated.
  18. Saw someone around here post about getting their 3rd Santa snow globe via trip per day to their local lego store. Maybe they'll be nice and donate what they have an excess of. Otherwise there's always the scalpers online selling the free giveaways for $40-100. Giveaways like this would probably last a lot longer if Lego enforced the one per customer and people didn't take advantage. Its enforced at the Shop@Home website but not really in store.
  19. Sorry for the back-to-back questions but I got another. Does Lego no longer make the snap-together palm tree trunks (like from Imperial Trading Post for example)? This part: (and I see there also appears to be a few versions of this part as well)
  20. Thank you very much Aanchir! Incredibly knowledgable and informative response and I really appreciate it. Yeah the set was actually 60007 I got new from Toys R Us that came with this molded version of the windshield. Thanks for confirming that its not listed replacement on Lego service. Guess I'll have to try and brick link for a replacement window glass and newer style frame. Thank you again.
  21. I have a question about this part: It appears it comes in either with the window molded into the frame or sometimes interchangeable with different color windows? One of the older brand new sets I recently got lists it as "6018430" in the back of the instructions but that doesn't show as any real part number compared to the apparently more common "13760" like on brickset? So if one gets one that has a damaged window the whole thing is useless and can't replace the window or will another window pop-in?
  22. Oh my goodness this is hilarious.
  23. Benny would be losing his freaking mind over this. Very nostalgic. This is fantastic, love it inside and out.
  24. Cool little MOC you made with a random tub of Lego. Though the frankenstein-headed owner is a little unsettling.
