  1. First off, million thanks! I'm genuninely glad you like my work! I've mentioned this sometimes, my style of building is chaotic, I don't look whether a piece does or doesn't exist in the colour I want it to be in my models, as they're digital. Therefore, I don't make instructions becuse they would highlight pieces which may not exist currenly . But, A Summer In Tuscany is out of my models one of the most feasible to build (which has the least amount of part mix-matches), so just send me a Personal Message here on Eurobricks with your mail and I can send the LDD file.
  2. Congrats for both this article (the blog is really cool and the writer has been good enough to post some of my MOCs, as well as other EBs) and the frontpage! Very much deserved!
  3. I followed that beast's progress on Reddit. I really like the fact that even this being a huge build, it feels daring like an experiment done in LDD. Sometimes with bigger builds, that daringness is set aside for the hugeness of the build to shine on its own. Here it's both daring and huge which is really outstanding
  4. Just remebered the article I wrote for HispaBrick, might be adequate for this topic. It's not per say 100% a tutorial, but it exemplifies my way of building very well. It's here, if you're interested.
  5. Kneel to the master! Your interiors always tend be be unique, but nevertheless have a cozy factor to them. For this, the first things which caught my attention were the 2x2 round plates on the top of the main wall and the round design on the flooring. Both of these look splendid. Then some finer details I saw later, like the bottom of the turntables as the lift's round window, the lift doors using fences or the "zebra" pattern right before it are beautiful and make this an overall appealing, well executed and very clean desing. I love it!
  6. Huh, interesting @peedeejay. I've both begun a model from the ground floor and from the roof, but never from the mid levels. For me, the overall effect is most important, so I center most of my efforts making the roofs sparkle. Once I've done that (or have it certain in my mind it can be done), then I do the rest.
  7. Very nice! It sometimes happens to me that renders make buildings "fat". What in a render looks like big enough, then in real bricks (or the tests I do in Architecture Studio) look tiny in comparison. The dark red building for me appears skinnier than in the rendering, which it not entierly a bad thing! Looking foward to the overall picture of your layout
  8. I entered EB and saw you'd posted a new MOC. I wanted to hold on a little bit, so meanwhile I entered @LegoModularFan's inspiration topic. But heck, I saw a comment there with the newer signature. At first glance it looks properly amazing. Two buildings, well balanced in terms of colours and shaping (the left one's roof shape is just blindingly pretty!), nice details overall, and my favourite... an alleyway! I know a 32x32 is indeed a small modular that's hard to make stand out and not looked too cramped. You've achieved a stylish pair of buildings and a pretty great atmosphere surrounding the build. I think your pub was a huge step up form the convinience store, and this is another step forward in the right direction, although QB's Pub overshadows it a lot (this is perfect size, the pub was a little bit too big to my liking ). The spaces are well resolved overall. If you allow me just a single little criticism, the Post Office's ground floor exterior details are a bit bland to my liking. Maybe it's done on purpose so it doesn't overshadow the rest of the build. Nevermind, a great modular.
  9. I've wanted an 80s McLaren or Williams for a very long time, but that involves stickering it with tobacco companies' logos, a move I seriously doubt Lego would make. As for some other racing cars I'd love, the Mazda 787B is a clear favourite, but I doubt there's much love for it for the non-hardcore fans. As a non-racing car a good DB5 with all sorts of gadgets might be fun or a really old 1910-20 car, an Alfa or a Mercedes.
  10. Hola Marc! Aquí un altre fan molt gran dels modulars! Aquí hi ha una gran comunitat, segur que t'ho passaràs molt bé!
  11. Good shaping, good colouring and especially, amazing storefront. I love first floors which are built solely out of a single colour, to make shapes shine somewhere in the build, instead of colours. Yours in black goes straight to one of my favourites. On the rooftop, the effect created by the "t" Technic pieces is very subtle and pleasing to the eye. The chimenys are always a welcomed touch. I like it very much!
  12. 4 : 3 13 : 1 9 : 1 1 : 1 Totallt wasn't expecting a Reliant Robin! Takes my three points.
  13. Saw this on Ideas a long while ago and loved it then. All three work toghether nicely, but the fries shop is just the most charming of the three, and my favourite ;D The onions for the big burgers are pretty genius. Just now I've noticed there's a gumball machine very similar to DD's. Pretty sure this was done before that came out.
  14. That is pretty nice! Nice windowing and rooftop. I'm keener on non-square models, but everyone's got different tastes. Good job.
  15. This review was pretty amazing. Talking about the set, even having read the review, I won't be buying it. First reason, footprint, second reason, for over 4000 pieces, it's aesthetically a bit stale. I do understand Lego definitely had to keep it on an acceptable price range, but for me, the function just doesn't pay off. If I want an entirely aesthetic and big model, I'll but a modular, if I choose playability, there's plenty of machines and awesome kinetic scupltures around the interenet to build. This fall in an odd in-between that just doesn't work for me. And I'm a big rollercoaster lover. Just one note, in rollercoaster jargon, this is called a "transfer track" A great review of a good set I won't be buying.
  16. Big thanks I remember you commented on A Summer in Tuscany a little while ago. Very much glad you like it!
  17. Thanks a billion! Took a lot of mastering to get properly right. It does mean a lot that a very avid poster like you likes it!
  18. No problem! I had a real blast writing it! Besides, I've mentioned here and there inspiration, but I believe that that article really showcases what I thought it would end up looking when I began making it. There's a sketch I drew at 2AM there, which is not at all like the finished model. Then there's so many iterations the design went through. I think it's a fun read if you have the interest and time. Translating was utterly painful, though. Write back saying whether you liked it or not.
  19. Haha! Not at all! I wrote it in case someone liked modulars and wanted to have a go at making one. The day I become even remotely famous is the day the world will start to crumble.
  20. A very lovingly crafted magazine that never fails to deliver. Have to say they're ver much of my liking as it's made very close to where I live, but that doesn't stop them from being brilliant regardless. Plus, for this edition, I was privileged enough to have an article I wrote featured. It just blows my mind. Big thanks to them!
  21. Very funny! Share it over on Reddit, they might like it there
  22. Hello guys! I thought you might be interested in knowing I wrote a little article about Klee Corner for HispaBrick's amazing 10th anniversary, in total their 30th, edition. I hope some of you guys find it remotely interesting, as I took the time to add fun anecdotes, indepth information about inspiration and LDD draftwork of previous design and such. In case you're interested you can find it here: http://www.hispabrickmagazine.com/sites/default/files/Descargas/HBM030_ENG.pdf Of course, comments on the model itself are very much welcome! Thanks!
  23. Lego's modulars are definitely colourful, but have always been rather on the conservative side of things. We've had two houses in medium nougat, two in sand blue, two in tan, two in sand green, and counting. It seems to me they have fear at building a building orange or with stripes. Sweets & Co. was a great relief when I finished it. I knew I was onto something but just kept on falling the same brick all over again, I couldn't find any combo that would work well with the blue building. I'm actually thinking about making bigger, better images for some of the older modulars, for them to shine in all their glory. Don't know, thinking about it. I would love to build a new corner unit soonish, maybe revisiting the concept of a chamfered wall, but in a different position, different shaping. The only thing I don't really love about S&C is the fact it is very square. The whole thing feels like a heavy brick. Maybe that's why on a street scene, it always has such huge impact. Cheers!
  24. Thanks! It's hard to say being the creator, but I'd say my top three would be the same as yours plus an honorable mention for Magic Shop on third place. EB sometimes works weirdly. For instance, there's certain MOCs that don't really call my attention that much but get plenty of love, but others just dig straight down to the second page. Oh well, might have to do something to pump it up a little. Big thanks anyway. Thanks a lot! I just love playing with textures, shapes and colours and mixing and matching them in the oddest ways I can think of. If a façade can be four colours at a time and work... Heck, why not do it, right!? Like @Bricked1980 said above, the last one, Klee Corner, kind of slipped the top page and recieved (relatively) little attention and comments. Which one would you say is your favourite? Btw, the topic for Klee Corner is this one: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/161599-moc-klee-corner/&tab=comments#comment-2966166. Just in case you may want to check it out ;D
  25. When I read the title I was thinking: Urm... Another one? It's not like most of them are any good, are they? But no, I was wrong. It has some style that some other attempts lack, maybe due to not wanting to make both buildings into one. I like it a lot!
