  1. I'm afraid that a new one may be longer a bit and may provide more friction like the new red clutch gears versus the DBG ones...
  2. Yeah, and the price is following: 42068 - 103 EUR 42069 - 147 EUR 42070 - 279 EUR About the same price as for Lithuania. Will wait for a sale...
  3. Well... It has done actually, B model of 8109 set, an "Airport Catering Truck" But it significantly differs from your project - an Americal-style longnose cabin and just a flat platform, with no any apparels for unloading form the from side, so I'm looking forward to see how your project goes. It looks very promising
  4. Works and saves the results on Windows + Google Chrome. Well done!
  5. Great, now the proportion are much better! Personally I'd add a 9L liftarms between the wing panels to add the third (midle) mount point for the elevons to make them a bit stronger.
  6. Nice find @HallBricks, I was expecting this tire for a long time and finally the dream come true! Wonder how did I miss it
  7. Yes, and this voltage should be safe for them whereas a higher one may damage them or even burn very fast
  8. Right, they're diver's and passenger's seats from A-model, and I suppose that TLG could follow the tradition and use just Blue color for it, like several times ago, including the year when this model was designed originally
  9. Just one word: Why? I do expect to see much better C-models. Really it's a crime to build a such model of these amazing parts
  10. I'd call it a "steering twist", like torque twist, but due to steering shaft
  11. Maybe it's an inventory upgrade for a the sets, shipped after a certain date? I remember the same story, when some sets came with 3-pinhole wheels and them after a some period were observed with 6-pinhole ones. @Ivan_M, I don't mind, a small 1-L worm gear should be the best part for a compact Torsen diff.
  12. @mocbuild101, OK, great! Then I'm looking forward to see how it works
  13. Just discovered that a new City set 60169 Cargo Terminal contains a new mold type for a well-known 2L worm gear: 32905, with only two internal "teeth" like in a half-bush. So, it's clear that we will have a two worm gears - 2L and 1L (without shortly discontinued 3L). Did anyone face it? I suppose that it should have no friction as well...
  14. Looks very promising, but the wheels (especially rear ones) may slip out from the axle so fast, so I'd invert the wheel disks or use a longer axle. Also I believe that this chassis could drift with amazing burnout using BuWizz
  15. I see that parts gluing is a one of the worst sins, so let me repent a bit. In a moment of weakness of spirit, I gave up and glued a pair of 1x1 transparent round plates (4073) with 2x2 Boat Studs (2654). TLG used them together several times for LED-ready headligths, but unfortunately this connection is very weak and 2654 always falling apart once the vehicle flips over, so I decided to reinforce the connection. Another great sin is painting. I did it as well since faced a crying attrition on 41999 rims Hopefully 6x6 dishes with some rubber cover are great templates for spray paint.
  16. It's a really bad solution in case of a surface that provides a constant good grip (friction), like asphalt road for a typical road car, but in case of a sandy or rocky surface now it's advantage to have a solid (locked diff) or semi-solid axle, and especially in case of only RWD it's nearly vital Don't get me wrong, but I believe that the most of members can explain the all pros and cons of the differentials and provide a ton of their models, so the lesion is nearly pointless here... By the way I'd like to add that I love how this jeep moves over the stones, smooth and easy like a viper... Amazing MOC, @Lejeansur
  17. As I see, a pair of transparent 24116 panels should perfectly fits as headlight covers and improve the overall look:
  18. I think that it could be fixed by a chassis re-arrangement with driving for one more axle (3rd) to get 4 x 8 scheme. Also I'd add some optional lock for turntable of the trailer.
  19. Honestly, I was expecting something in a blue color, following to the "tow" word and the current trend , but this small creature also looks incredible. Especially I like how the suspension for the all axles fits into a such small size, well done!
  20. @Doug72, maybe four 11mm D. x 8mm wheels (seems that you meant them for "technic wheels") with tires, mounted at the triangle liftarms would help you? It should raise the construction and prevent the contact with central section of a track.
  21. @Timorzelorzworz, I agree that the color palette keeps growing and it's a noticeable fact was expected since TLG changed their process to "White ABS + dye" instead of "Color ABS" provided by suppliers. I don't mind such number of colors and shapes, but only regret that more or less full set of Technic parts still being presented only in limited colors, whereas other unique or semi-unique (like Dark Blue) colors still doesn't have some common parts. Anyway, I was happy to see a lot of Dark Blue parts that comes with 42064 (Ocean Explorer) and Medium Azure continuation in 42059 (Stunt Truck) that added some extra shapes Who knows, maybe we will see 50 shades of green (or even red) soon...
  22. Interesting, how powerful 42070 is? I wonder if there should be some correlation between the torque of truck and crane, and weight of estimated 42067... Can it lift and pull Porsche (42065), or a half of it?
  23. I believe that such combination could allow some steering even with no servo in case you remove the solid axle By the way, could you tell how did you beat the front wheels misalignment? As I remember, there is a pair of 16T gears between the HOG (Servo, in this case) and the steering rack that adds ~5 degrees rotation, so it always turns to the left or right a bit. Did you replace them by a triple 8T gears?
  24. I'd suppose that they are used for the doors fixation in the border positions (opened / closed) like in other models with gull-wing doors. BTW, every complain or dissatisfaction is the very first step to a great MOD, I believe
  25. Let me raise an old question and answer it. Both of them are much better than L4, off course, but talking about "L6 / V8": L6 provides more torque starting from the very small RPM ("slow" engine) and well-balanced, which is the best way for the heavy and military-like trucks, and for other special-purpose machines. By the way, his big brother is V12 for extra-heavy duty. V8 is much more compact (read "shorter") and provides the best torque at the high RPM ("fast" engine), that is a good solution for smaller vehicles that needs high torque and speed in the same time: middle and heavy pic-ups, powerful sport-cars etc. Next to them (in descending order of mechanical power and compactness) are V6 and L4... Therefore 42070 just must have L6. Even giant L4 (10.0L ) doesn't suit him because of a monstrous vibration that will ruin the vehicle.
