  1. It's a very nice and accurate solution to move the steering rack (racks, in your case) outside of a pendular axis. I like the way how you did it.
  2. Do you mean where the diff was placed, taking into account a battery and Servo? Well, I don't mid as well... But since the instruction for 4WD (is it 4WD or AWD, by the way, how the axles are coupled?) is paid, the author may prefer to keep it in a secret
  3. Yes, they didn't but I can't get rid of the idea that they still made it as an option: 42029, 42039 and other sets of a similar size have two (at least) voids: one behind or above the rear axle and the second behind the steering rack. They perfectly fits Servo and L-motor (or XL-Motor after a minor modification).
  4. Just got a new e-mail from Kickstarter. Well, what can I say? Finally...
  5. I think that the idea was to replicate a such thing: caterpillar treads over the pneumatic wheels, like John Deere 1270G 8W.
  6. If got it correctly, I_Igor meant that existing Claas tires are too big for this model, and TLG used the common small balloon tires (smaller + commonly used everywhere = cheaper). Claas tires aren't cheap and, if they appears in this set, the price (that was already raised in 2018) become even higher.
  7. Is it a full-blue, two blue shades (blue + dark azure), or blue and black?
  8. Well, keeping the same "unofficial research" idea, I believe that 42073 with two pull-back motors (one per axle) without a hard link, may show the best result: you know, two different wheel sizes, two torque moments etc... It should come as two-stage gearbox (smaller wheels provide a better acceleration, and than bigger ones will keep increasing the speed). Sorry for offtop if I am...
  9. Thank you for a great review (again!). Maybe it would be correct to test them on some dirty/sandy surface? Since "Whack!" is painted on a road track, and "Bash!" on a sand one, I think that there are no doubts that 42072 wins on his "home" surface. Is there any way to compare them at Bash's track?
  10. Just as an informal announce, user Manybicks spotted that coming set 42082 (Rough Terrain Crane) will have a number of 24121 Gear Rack 11 x 11 Curved (4 of them, most probably) in black color. It's time to build big cranes without a color vomit situation, isn't it?
  11. Yes, it really looks cool. Even the half-studs matches perfectly. I can not say that this part is really required, but I don't mind if we got it as the official TLG part. However, returning back to the topic, I still afraid that TLG will put a simple V-shape engine...
  12. Yes, unfortunately. However the changes becomes true. Slow, but still comes.
  13. One of the recent updates added a new channel "ButtonLight" and a static button (on/off positions) "Light" with black/bright green lamp bulb icon.
  14. Nice and simple, well done! I hope that your daughter is happy The only thing that I'd add - to reinforce the drivetrain a bit. I afraid that those LBG gears will slip-off once...
  15. Great! It has the all features that would have 8067 (a yellow Mobile Crane in the same scale). The only thing I'd add - to move the crane arm length control gear to the back side of the whole superstructure, just fir a better playability (all HOGs together).
  16. Do you mean transparent 3x3 dishes? I though the same, but afraid that they would be so big. Why TLG didn't make some 1.5x1.5 and 2.5x2.5 dishes Backing to the topic, I just love this MOC, it's a really great example how the all needed functions could be packed in a smaller size. Well done! It's only me, or this car could be made in the orange livery as well? I see that only some flex axles should remain in black.
  17. @miata92, no, you can't update V1 to V2 just using some software tricks - they are seems to different inside (a different hardware that more stable and could handle a higher power with no issues, I suppose). It's a reason why the application recognises which the version is connected.
  18. Well, you may add few tires or a heavy brick (73090b) used in trains or ships. I would be very sad to have this amazing creature disqualified.
  19. Got mine BuWizz 2.0 yesterday and would like to share my opinion: 1. The "Ludicrous" mode appears only if you activate it at the settings screen (where you assigns the controls to the sockets). After its activation, the three-position switch changes from "Slow \ Normal \ Fast" to "Normal \ Fast \ Ludicrous" values (I was expecting something like "Slow \ Normal \ Fast \ Ludicrous", well, who knows... ). 2. It was a surprise that polarity (or direction?) has been changed in 2.0 version: right after replacement V1.0 to 2.0 in my MOC, I found that it drives and steers backward. It didn't drop the settings (I've used one motor in inverted mode), just inverted the polarity. Now it seems to match with TLG receivers and Sbrick. 3. "Servo tremor at 4th socket" - honestly I didn't check it yet, but I will soon and let you know, @Andy48. To recap, the Ludicrous mode looks like a real 4th step above the "Fast" - it provides about the same gain to Fast, as the difference between Fast and Normal. I feel I must care about brakes now
  20. That sounds like #1 reason, together with the following one: I agree that a studless boom more than allows having two stages with only 5L thick. Or, maybe the boom isn't just a 2-staged one but contains something else that still requires having 7L thick...
  21. @JamesJT, what are the motors and gearing ratio did you use for them? And did you compare the speed with a "fast" mode? I'm curious if the difference really visible... I found the original video (with LiPo) were Miura drives not so fast, so I'm asking about the gears if you have changed them occasionally:
  22. In between "very-very" and "not so very" shades? Yeah, Mery Christmas indeed...
  23. But if you compare the length of this 5x3 / 7x3 Dogbone part with 3x3 T-shape one: you may see (I saw, for example) that the "dogbone" part is too tall to be 5x3. Anyway let's wait and see. As for the black / blue panel - remember the 2-years old story about black and gold or blue and white dress? It was an amazing example how the light and visual appearance in general may change the perception.
  24. @degenerate, @jojotakeda, yes, exactly like it happened to 9398. Also I'd add that a dangerous machine is about to must be visible and recognizable at a far distance.
