  1. These are completely awesome designs, Robert8! I immediately would buy them if TLG released them! Keep on doing this great stuff! Do you plan more graphical designs of custom CMFs? Klaus-Dieter
  2. The first half of May is now over. The last two years we did get the fairground set always in about the middle of May. If TLG would release another fairground set this year, I bet they'd have planned it for around the same time. But since we haven't heard anything yet .. doesn't look good. It would be a shame if TLG didn't release a FG set this year only because of the Friends line. Since apart from the small sets you can never use the Friends amusment park sets in a realistic, good looking, City compatible fairground layout! If not this year, I only hope that TLG did not decide to stop the FG theme at all since there are still so many amazing sets they could release - only look at the mass of excellent MOCs many members have built! Klaus-Dieter
  3. This is an excellent MOC, Zusammengebaut! I only would make the ticket stand a bit bigger. If so, if TLG released this as a set, I immediately would buy it! Klaus-Dieter
  4. That's an excellent MOCset, fungyup! If TLG released it, I immediately would buy it! Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you very much for the reviews, just2good! I've got mixed feelings about the Airport Starter Set. On the one hand it's good to get a mailbox, an Octan worker, a mailman and another airport mechanic in a cheap set. On the other hand two hand trucks are silly (better would have been to get two 1x2x1 parcels) and the heli doesn't look that well designed. Why didn't TLG use the regular "two skids with hanger"-piece?! The Cargo Plane is really a brilliant set! Its exterior as well as the small cargo vehicle are very well built. And luckily TLG did learn from its mistake and gives us a huge cargo loading place inside the plane (in contrast to the heliplane). Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for these two reviews, just2good! I dislike the exploration truck - too huge for its length, no car doors, too blocky and no interesting accessory coming with it. But the small cargo plane looks really brilliant! Esp. together with the small transport car this is a great set with a great price ratio performance! I'm looking forward to your next review! Klaus-Dieter
  7. Shall this be (well-deserved) sarcasm on 41130 (or 41128)? Or have you seen a picture of the long awaited rumored Creator Carousel for this year which I've missed? Klaus-Dieter
  8. Yes, but with licenses I mean special-themed CMF series as well. (E. g. the Monsters Series was imo as bad as all the other licensed series because it was to one-sided fixed on that special theme Halloween and didn't include other aspects and minifigs.) Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this great review, WhiteFang! 1. I rate this Disney series as Below Average since the characters look like they should look like - but getting them in Lego is imo really weird and doesn't look good! 2. I find this review very helpful and useful - high quality review from you like always. 3. It makes no difference to me which distribution allocation number this series has. 4. Yes, I prefer the traditional Collectible Minifigure Series without licenses! 5. I would like you to continue on those great reviews of the Collectible Minifigure Series! Maybe I'll try to get some Donald Duck minifigs because of the "shorts" pants. But apart from that I'll pass on this series! Klaus-Dieter
  10. It's great to get one more confirmation of the Winter Train set - although I trusted Nesquik's info from the beginning on! So I'm excited about whether the second building alternative will actually include a small train station. Since on the one hand a train without train station would be really disappointing (and I can't imagine TLG selling a Winter Train Station in 2017 as a seperate set). And on the other hand I bet that the first building alternative is without a station - otherwise the station wouldn't be a real station or the set would go in the direction of 200 Euros which would very supposably be bad for sales for Lego. Well, we won't get any more details nor pics before late September, I fear. (TLG is hiding info and pics more and more and longer and longer.) Klaus-Dieter
  11. Over in the 2016 City sets topic, some made the suggestion for more minifigs packs such as "Fun in the park" - esp. a "Fun at the beach" set. So let's see what a "Fun at the beach" minifig pack could and should include: - two brick-built palm trees - ice-cream cart - sunshade - sunlounger - rug - small "outpost" for the lifeguard - surfboard - big surfboard with sail - food - beachball - net for playing beachball - diver equipment - skateboard - jellyfish - crab - sun cream - brick-built sandcastle - 14 minifigs: lifeguard, ice-cream vendor, male surfer, female surfer, 10 bathers (men, women, boys and girls), partly with cap, T-Shirt and shorts, partly only with swimwear What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for this information, just2good! It's really a pity to hear that there'll be even two licensed series next year and only one regular series! Licenses are nice and good, but too much of them gets too much! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for the pictures! It's really a pity that the minifigs have fleesh skin! Otherwise I would have bought some to have a small soccer team to play against the CMF soccer league. And of course the CMF league would've won. But since the minifigs haven't yellow color, I pass this series. Besides I find it very silly to have as accessory (apart from the trainer) for every minifig a ball. Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you all very much for all the news! The list of the included minifigs as well as the blurry pictures of some of them make me thinking that this series will be getting one of the best ones so far! I'm looking forward to September to get some ot these excellent minifigs (esp. since the Disneys and Soccer series don't interest me)! Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for the link to and the picture of the school, Soupperson1 and CM4Sci! When the sets list came out, I didn't pay any attention to the HL Performance School since I thought that it would be a school for dogs. But that I see now the picture of it - - amazing set! I really like this ancient architectual school house style! The bus isn't that my cup of tea since it has too less windows and is too short. And the basketball busket and the with pink overloaded snack place seem out of place. But everything other looks really, really good! If I see correctly, then there's some interior on every floor (meaning all three). Btw: When do you think we'll get pictures of the 41132 HL Party Shop? When did the first picture of the (bad) Friends Grocery came out last year? Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for the updated pictures! About the price of the gas station: I agree that 90 Dollars (supposably 80 Euros in Germany?) sounds overpriced. But keep in mind that we get three decent vehicles, four minifigs, a bicycle and a detailed interior in this set. Imo I prefer to pay a bit more and therefore get a decent sized building with a great interior (instead of a minimalistic building for less money). About more minifig packs: I completely agree with you that we need much more of them than only one. Esp. since the "Fun in the park" only includes one more summer related torso (the girl with the glasses)! And I would really like to see a "Fun at the beach". But I fear that we at least have to wait til 2018 for that a possible set. Which concerns a "Fun in the snow" minifig pack, I highly doubt that we'll ever get one since winter related stuff (til now) is only located in the Creator Expert line (Winter Village) and not part of the City theme. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Well, I hope this is at least a hint for us that there actually will be a new fairground set this year! I'm hoping so. And it would even be the most logical one following the ferris wheel. Nevertheless I hope that it wouldn't be too big and that there would be some more additional stuff than in the Ferris Wheel included - I really would like to get a decent candy stall. I bet that either TLG decided to not release more fairground sets in the next years. Or they will release one this year. But skipping one year sounds implausible to me. Klaus-Dieter
  18. With one research theme a year over the past three years (2014: arctic, 2015: deep sea, 2016: volcano) I thought about which other research themes TLG could release. Taking into consideration that there has to be enough action inside these themes and a lot of different vehicles, only two new ones came to my mind: Jungle / Maya (or Aztec) Research - locations very similar to the excellent ones in the Adventures theme from 1999 - but vehicles, minifigs and equipment located in the present Desert / Ancient Egypt Research - locations very similar to the excellent ones in the Adventures theme from 1998 - but vehicles, minifigs and equipment located in the present Since I was a youngster when the Adventures sets were releaed, I didn't have enough money to buy them. And so I would adore a comeback of theme - even more if they weren't located in the first half of the last century but in the present (with modern research vehicles and accessory)! What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for the picture and the link, Maya! I completely agree with you, Bricknblue! TLG regrettably got bogged down with many rides in one set instead of offering one decent ride in one set (an additional food cart isn't the problem, that's in contrast a nice addition, but I speak of several rides). With this, TLG imo destroyed the potential of the bigger Friends fairground sets. That's really a pity! Because of this, I'll only buy the small sets - hot dog van, archery and bowling - which are really cute sets. And apart from these I'm keeping my money and hope for more Creator Expert fairground sets which give us the correct size of fairground sets. (And which are btw not that much overloaded with pink and purple.) Klaus-Dieter
  20. Now back on topic: I thought once more about the new Winter Train and came to the conclusion that it will be very unlikely that it'll be only four studs wide as well as it including a train station. Most likely it'll be a Creator Expert set (like the previous Winter sets and even the Emerald Night, the Maersk Container Truck and the Horizon Express). So very supposably a big engine and two big cars or one big and two small ones. It would be great if the building alternative in this 2 in 1 set would include a train station. This way you could buy two sets and in total get the original train and a train station. But I fear that TLG hadn't planned this. Klaus-Dieter
  21. Thank you very much for this information, just2good! Two licensed - and for me absolutely not interesting - licensed CMF series in one year?! I hope this is wrong! Imo there should be no licensed CMF series at all because TLG's own designed characters firstly are much more interesting and secondly offer a huge band from historical characters to SF ones. But Batman ... no ... and Ninja ... no - both much too onesided and not compatible with other themes like City, Castle or Wild West. Klaus-Dieter
  22. I completely agree with you, BigEl! On the one hand the set is too expensive that a decent number of JFOLs will buy this set. On the other hand it's absolutely no UCS but only a combination of several playsets aimed to children, so many AFOLs won't buy this set. I really do not understand why TLG did that bad job ... Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you very much for this press release, CopMike! Pro: + some great new minifigures + many minifigs at all + nice looking transport vehicle + finally an ion cannon + exterior structure looks quite good + left and right gate parts can be opend by only turning one switch Con: - minimum two many important missing characters (medical droid and Hoth Leia) - no medical room - no recreation room - nearly only a summary of all Hoth sets we've seen so far - shield generator has only three instead of four parts - "high seat" is absolutely out of place - control center is no seperate, closed room - crane has a bad load hook - ugly to see the whole machinery of the opening function of the gate - really bad price ratio performance (150 Euros would be a fitting price for what you get, but not 250 Euros) For me this set is firstly a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT since TLG onesided concentrated on the action elements and omitted nearly completely the "civilian" aspects. Plus this set is for sure NO UCS SET since it's only a throwing-together of several playsets with a target audience to only JFOLs, but is NO BUILDING EXPERIENCE FOR AFOLS! It's only with very seldom things, but which concerns a Hoth Base with decent interior and an UCS Cloud City TLG simply ignores our wishes! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Hello everybody! Much later than I wanted to, but nevertheless here's my review of the 41119 Heartlake Cupcake Cafe: First of all a picture of the front and one of the back of this set: Here are the set's contents: The cafe has a very elaborate and ancient looking architecture with terrrace, entrance with small shop windows on both sides and a really big shop window on the right side: The interior is very detailed: These are the spare parts: And now the cupcake cafe "in action": More pics can be found at http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=562453 (when folder is public). All in all I rate this set as outstanding: Con: - no door to the side where the terrace is - no second floor with more tables and seats as a guestroom or with some other interior - missing control pannel on the oven Pro: + price ratio performance is ok + Friends' colors fit in this set - in contrast to in the majority of them - very well and therefore can be included even in a regular Lego City city + a lot of simple built, but nice looking cupcakes + great interior details such as coffee machine, oven and agitating machine + excellent architectual design For sure this is one of the best Friends sets we've seen so far! I hope you liked my review and now please vote! Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you all very much for this information! So far, series 16 sounds really promising! I'm excited about which accessory the secret agent will get. Klaus-Dieter
